I know it's been awhile since I've posted anything. I'm not the greatest at updating blogs or journals. Even though I love writing, writing about me is completely different. It's about my writing that I'm even writing this journal at all.

The reason why I'm posting is because I'm starting to submit a bunch of work for publication. I'm really nervous because this is the first time I've really done it and I kind of fear what I'll get back. I know that I'll probably get rejected many times, but I know that comes with the territory. Stephen King has been rejected, so I'm not too distressed about that. I'm just really nervous and excited about the possibilities.

I'll let you guys know if anything comes up with my submissions. Hope for the best! smiley13.gif

I got you some flowers and I'll take you out for a nice dinner. Don't be mad, okay?

Seriously though, time has flown by these past years. Four days ago marked my 9-year anniversary here on the site. 9 years! Rooster Teeth has been in my life since I was young teenager and I've met many friends on here that are awesome and I wouldn't trade for the world. Even though I wasn't the most active member on the site, one friend would still message me when I was stationed in Okinawa, just to make sure I was still safe and doing well. That awesome fellow is Eric, or @Hamstar, and he's one of the coolest guys I've met. Talented when it comes to mods and makes vinyl decals, you can check some of that out at Nerdfitti.com.

After getting out of the military, I wanted to become a more active community member. I still haven't done that per se, but I would say I'm getting a little better. Even though I don't "Like" things or journal, I am on the site at almost any given moment. I even found the awesome group Rooster Speak, and the people I met there have become some of the closest friends I've ever had.

So thank you Rooster Teeth for being here for me to make friends. Thank you friends for being there for the ups and downs and putting up with the crazy shit that I say and do.

      I love you guys.

For the last two days I have been running errands and getting everything ready for my trip to Austin. Tomorrow I fly out and land in the afternoon and I cannot wait! Until then, I've been doing my laundry and cleaning the apartment so it doesn't smell funky when I get back.

I'm just taking a small dinner break before continuing with all the laundry, cleaning, and inevitable packing that I have been putting off. However, less than 24 hours and I'll be hanging out with @Panacamanana, @Warpek, @Leprasaun, @nightwolf12 and @MaryFairy. Good times, here I come! smiley13.gif

About a month ago, @Nester82 invited me to play Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Classic 1989 Arcade edition. So myself, @Lamchopz, @Kiyoshi and special commentator @Schraver kicked some shell all while Nester recorded. You can find the two part Let's Play here and here. I'm Michelangelo, AKA The best Turtle.

Thing is, I'm a guy who thinks of two things. Sex and Ninja Turtles. Sometimes I think of sex with Ninja Turtles and that's when things get a little weird. Anyway, playing TMNT with Nester kinda of rekindled my love for Ninja Turtles and I may have gone a little overboard with things.

First, with the help of Nester, I was able to get 100% of the achievements in both TMNT 1989 and the Turtles in Time Re-shelled edition. That was an awesome accomplishment, seeming that they went unloved for close to 6 years.

I also started watching the movies and the cartoon series (1980's and 2003) as I have all on DVD. However, my hunger for TMNT was not sated. So, I did what any irresponsible college guy does when he has enough money.

      IMG_5290_zps2ff17b94.jpg

I purchased collections of the original comics and some of the newer comic series. I used to have a few stand alone issues back in high school, but those have been lost for ages now. If you have never before read the original series, I highly recommend it.

      But that isn't all...

      IMG_5292_zps3b88ea04.jpg

Yeah, so that's the current series of TMNT Lego sets. I plan on purchasing the sets that come after. I won't even comment on how building those sets reinvigorated my love for Legos, but I didn't purchase any additional sets. My wallet thanks me. (Note: Building with Legos is very stress relieving, and I highly recommend it to anyone.)

When the talented, and might I mention lovely, @Myshu was doing her chupa-adoptions, I made the most logical decision and ask for the Ninja Turtles, and she created them and they are awesome.

      Hazerblade51527cb239fa0.jpg

So, yeah, I've been riding a TMNT high for awhile. I've always loved them. They are a huge chunk of my childhood and will continue to be a fan, even after a few hiccups that kinda left a dirty taste in my mouth.

    • Rooster Teeth Store

      Hazerblade

Before I go on my little rant, I want to say I have nothing but sincere love for Rooster Teeth as a whole and a deep respect for everyone who works there.

Recently, however, I have been having a few issues with the Rooster Teeth store. I am known for my ability to remain patient and understanding through many circumstances, and that is one of my traits I take pride in. So if you’re going to comment, "Just be patient and you'll get your package," this is not about the speed in which I receive my items, but the efficiency of Rooster Teeth's processing of orders. Here is my order that shall serve as example.

      ScreenShot2013-04-19at81141AM_zps4e12779

The first issue revolves around the initial email Rooster Teeth sends out to the customer. Recently, they changed from the famous "Getting off the couch, watching Oprah" to this:

      ScreenShot2013-04-19at80401AM_zpse3916a5

The biggest problem I have with the email begins with the first few sentences. I have just ordered my product and within moments, I receive this email telling me that my order has shipped. No, it hasn't. The order is still being processed. This email needs to be edited to annotate that properly. While this may be a small matter to some, it can still be confusing and should be fixed regardless.

The second issue comes a week later when I receive this email.

      ScreenShot2013-04-19at80646AM_zps3b770af

It has been a week and my order finally ships out. While I know that Rooster Teeth has millions of fans that probably order things daily, this is border-lining unacceptable. In the FAQ of the Customer Service tab, it states this:

      ScreenShot2013-04-19at82826AM_zps10fe6ac

My order was for three shirts, none of them customizable, just three t-shirt Tuesday shirts. I’m not sure if that counts as manufactured, but I was under the impression that manufactured were the customizable shirts such as grifball, blue and red army, achievement hunter and project freelancer. I can understand if there is an influx in store purchases. I figured that is what it was last time this happened. It was during the 10-year anniversary sale. While this order trails on the backend of that sale, I still find it odd that it takes a week to process the order. The processing almost surpasses the amount of time it takes to ship. So instead of shipping being 3-9 days, it has become 10-17!

If I am wrong for saying this, then I will admit it, I don’t mind. I am just curious as to why processing orders has been taking a week instead of the usual 24-48 hours. It doesn't mean I hate Rooster Teeth, and I will continue to purchase things from them. I am just looking for a little understanding, that's all.

    • Birthdays and Pranks

      Hazerblade

First off, happy glorious birthday, Rooster Teeth! I noticed that you introduced new things to the store. Luckily enough I just got paid, so I decided to pick up a few things. The 10 year shirt was a must, and the bobble head I had an inner battle if I wanted to buy it now or at RTX. "Now" won. So now my pockets are lighter and my mailbox will be slightly fuller in a week or so.

As for pranks, none have been pulled yet. I was thinking about being a complete asshole and call my family discussing that I have some terminal illness or something. It could be believable, as I haven't really spoken to anyone in about a month or two, so it would be out of the blue and unexpected. I'll think more into it.

Hope everyone is having an excellent day! If you have money, definitely check out the Rooster Teeth store, they have some epic stuff on sale! smiley13.gifsmiley12.gif

For my class, we had to take a PMAI test. PMAI stands for Pearson-Marr Archetype Indicator. In other words, it evaluates my personality via a bunch of questions that I answer honestly and then focuses on what archetypes best represent me. For the most part, I scored pretty high for all archetypes (minus my shadow archetypes [more on that in a minute]).

Here is a pie chart of my results.

      ScreenShot2013-03-08at24001PM_zpsf67f020

It's kind of hard to tell what numbers they are, so here is my results from greatest to least:

      Caregiver - 29
      Sage - 26
      Jester - 26
      Warrior - 23
      Creator - 21
      Seeker - 20
      Ruler - 20
      Lover - 19
      Orphan - 18
      Destroyer - 16
      Innocent - 13
      Magician - 13

The top three are my active archetypes and the bottom two are my shadow archetypes. Caregiver is all about thinking about others. Much like a doctor, someone who enjoys making other people feel good or helping people in a bind. Sage is about wisdom, learning new things and spreading that knowledge out. Jester is pretty obvious. I love joking around and easing tension with humor.

My Shadow archetypes are Innocence and Magician. Innocence is a very optimistic and hopeful individual who can also be naive, while Magician is someone who believes perception is reality. Neither of those truly fit me, and I agree that they are my shadows.

Everything in between that are either available when I need them, but not how I see the world (scores of 23-18) or they just aren't expressed currently in my life anymore (scores of 17-12).

      So, summed up:

I'm humorous, smart, and a very caring guy. I'm also single. Ladies, call me. smiley13.gifsmiley12.gif

Hello again folks! So, remember my last journal saying after my class I'll have less workload and be able to be on more? Well, it's true my workload isn't that bad yet, however my class got bumped from four hours long to eight. So, when I do get home (around 9:00 pm) I will be way to exhausted to even do anything. Plus having to get sleep for work the following day.

      Man, responsibilities suck.

Hey guys, I'm not dead (I know, bummer) I've just been extremely busy with school and work. Best Buy finally got me a schedule that works with my classes so I've been hitting the ground running. That and this is my final week of class, I will remain busy. After this week ends and my new class begins, I'll have less workload when it comes to school work.

Hope everything is awesome with you guys! Love you smiley13.gifsmiley12.gif

I'm really looking forward to messing around with the Forge. I had so much fun with Variants... making everything how I want is going to be just that much better.

I know you can make teleports... but I wonder if you can put in extra man cannons as well, that would be gravy.

In that picture you put up those last two "unknowns" appear to be covenant variants. I was seeing some that looked very much to be covenant armor variants so I'm pretty sure there's a bunch of those, too. It'd only be fair after all.

ah yes, the humongo controller. I remember the awkwardness. i was disgusted by the fact that i could press all the buttons with a finger since they were so close together. i still don't know what they were thinking. and black and white forced me to look down EVERY TIME to make sure i pressed the right one. the joysticks being a different style make it feel funny also. it was like christmas the day I got an S-type.

    • lefty

I have no idea what that is. I'm pretty much out of playing RPG games though. I think I outgrew them or something because I used to be a huge Final Fantasy fan... then the games just stopped appealing to me.

    • lefty

You'll surely be able to play as Elites, probably not Brutes... but perhaps. They're just not as Human as the Elites are.

    • lefty

And I have to disagree about the Halo 3 beta. There were just enough tweaks to things I didn't like about Halo 2's multiplayer to get me excited to play the new game. Being Hi-Def aside, I'm looking forward to all the tweaking you'll be able to do in private matches.

    • lefty

I keep getting killed doing something and forgetting that I didn't save forever when I load my last save to avoid losing $20,000 in "hospital bills".

If they make a new game they really need to fix that... I'll die with over $100,000 and come back with like $84,000. It's ridiculous.

I really haven't been playing the game much but I'm going to start focusing on it since the side missions aren't getting me much besides headaches. The racing ones especially since they take forever to get started and if you make one wrong move (or if traffic decides to work against you) you're screwed and have to go fix your car before you can start again.
