Awesome OT win in true bears fashion.
Good to see Orton gettin better made some good passes (and some bad ones), but did his job and protected the ball and hit muhammed big time in the end zone, can't ask for much more from him.
Purdue... bleh, too depressing
Cool that the White Sox won, world series was cool to watch, especially in Chicago with the crowd going crazy.
Cubs need to get Damon.

This world series will have me seriously conflicted, since I'd like to root for the White Sox (I don't hate them), but that would mean my roommates (huge sox fans/anti-cubs) would be giving me shit forever. But, can't root for a division rival especially not the cards. On the other hand my roommates will (and do) give me shit regardless, so go white sox!!! I guess
P.S. I'm a Cubs fan

I love watching ESPN when they talk about the cubs, especially around the horn. Whenever cubs are on a losing streak, they all hop off the bandwagon, and say they have no chance at postseason, then the they'll get a good winning streak, and everyone hops right back on.
Truth is, they're too inconsistent to tell. Will Prior pitch an 8 inning 2 hitter like a couple nights ago? Or will he pitch the 4 2/3 7 run fiasco from a week ago. Same goes for all the cubs pitchers, except for wood, who's been pretty good since his injury with a 2.55 era.
Hitting is there, but timing is not. We got a good team average, and a lot of homeruns, but not with people on base. Hopefully that will change now that Baker FINALLY realized that patterson can't hit (he had more strikeouts last year than Sosa), and that we need people at the top of the lineup with OBP's over .300 (hairston and walker). Had he realized that the offseason work that patterson did to help him become a leadoff hitter, didn't actually help back when everyone else realized it in April, we'd be up there with Cardinals.
Anyways, going off to the cubs game myself in a few minutes. Maddux on the bump today.

I hate my COM class (speech), I have to do an outline for tomorrow (well today now) by 5 PM, and I have no idea on a topic. Meanwhile, I dig myself into a deeper whole in Calc.
Purdue needs to win tomorrow, and I need to get my outline done, I don't want another shitty weekend and have to get drunk on a Monday night again =P . Tho, that was only cuz my friend got basically a zero on his calc test, so he's like vodka, now, and that was that. Good thing I didn't have class until 2:30 on Tuesday =)
I don't really feel like going to bed right now, eventhough I'm tired and I should get to sleep so I can wake up to watch the game tomorrow. But, I'll just deprive myself again of sleep, huzzah! I think maybe I'll watch a movie, perhaps Harold and Kumar go to White Castle, we shall see.
O, and congrats to the Red Sox, would have been nice to see a more competitive series, but I'm still glad the Cards lost (Cubs fans hate the Cardinals if you didn't know). Speaking of the Cubs, their good TV announcer Steve Stone resigned, so we'll have two brand new guys in the booth next season cuz the other guy, Chip Carey (grandson of Harry Carey) left, but good riddance, he sucked. Cubs, are making some decisions early, by allowing Alou and Grudzielanek to be free agents, now if only they can get Sosa to leave, that would be glorious.
dunno if anyone posted about this, but I didn't see any threads about it, but I spotted an Interview with ign.com and Matt (sarge) It's focused on Strangerhood and the making of it. Anyways, it's pretty interesting and just wanted to give those who haven't seen it a heads up.
