    • I took the plunge.

I was always looking to do in life something that I enjoyed, and a chemistry degree was not giving me that. The lack of people contact was a killer for me, and I hadn't really enjoyed the subject in years. So I decided that enough was enough, and it was time to study something that would give me a real sense of pleasure, with a great career to boot. After some advisement and thinking, I took the plunge, so to speak.

I'm going to become a nurse. It has a perfect mix of interesting science and amazing amounts of people contact, with a career that will be challenging and rewarding. I really can't wait to get to it.

I'll be taking this year off to work since there are no spaces left at my university, and I plan to return next year to begin the course. I've already submitted my application with a great reference from my adviser of studies so I'll get ahead of the school crowd.

My family are completely behind me, they've always had the attitude that you have to do something you enjoy in life.

      Good times.

I saw Ben did a no spending money for a month challenge, to prove he didn't need a new laptop. I'm going to try the same deal, but I'll start today (conveniently after I payed for ODST) until Saturday the 31st of September.

I read up on others who did this, they didn't carry cards so they could buy anything spur of the moment. They reused bottled water (which I do anyway) so they wouldn't buy drinks/food, and made no unneccesary purchases whatsoever. No games, no clothes, no dvd's, music or food.

      This may be hard.

      Day 1.

Hello all, the title pretty much says it all on this one.

We bought a new router due to our old one overheating constantly and having bits falling off it. When I connected our printer to the router, it wouldn't print anything. It seems it isn't receiving the order to print at all. I tried reinstalling the printer, but that only showed me that no printers could be detected on our network, so I tried inputting the IP and Port numbers manually, but that didn't work either.

I put our old router back in place, and everything worked perfectly, I could print just fine. Then I tried attaching our old router to our new router with the printer attacked to the old, but that didn't work (Didn't think it would, but worth a shot.)

I think it must be our new router not allowing the printer to communicate, but at this stage I am totally out of ideas. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Our printer is a Lexmark C522
Our new router is a Netgear WGR614

I had my first filling today, not bad for almost 21 years of teeth using. Injections were a little painful, but nowhere near as bad as the ones I had in my toes. Although now half my mouth is numb and I cant stop drooling.

Received my new phone, all is well and fantastic, lots of great features. Was surfung the net all morning, presuming I had unlimited internet.

      I didn't.

25 pounds worth of net use in an hour. Thanks Youtube! I called 3, they were cool about it. Told me they'd strike it from my bill since it was an honest mistake. What wonderful customer service.

Since last time I finished reading The Astonishing X-Men, then Serenity Books 1 and 2. Then I read the Cryptonomicron, a very long, but very interesting book about cryptology and mathematics. Took me a month to read, and I finished The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe last night.

      Next up, Children of Men.

Well congratulations! That's fantastic. Glad to see you're back and doing so well.

Next year I'll be starting a degree in nursing, with a hope to graduate four years later in something that I really enjoy.

Thanks! It's been a loooong time since I've updated, and I'll be catching up on your entries soon.

Nursing is a pretty decent-paying profession over here. How's it like on your side?

I have the links up now. If you go to the fourth link, it's an A-line. A-line is just the style of the dress. Like with pants, there's a skinny, loose legged, boot cut, etc. They all have their own style but they're all pants. Same goes for the dresses. A-line, Empire Waist, etc. It's a bit confusing at first but when you've had to wear dresses your whole life, you begin to remember lol

Oh yeah Dino Biology is awesome and I think an archeology class would be incredibly interesting or supremely boring lol. But the girl I like is a christian and so am I and our particular group of friends and most of the other groups of friends don't really date especially each other. It's kinda weird lol like the guys court a girl the last couple years of college and then they end up getting married a few years after. Well thats sorta what happens. So anyway my point is it's probably best I haven't done anything yet lol

I'm not too sure. All I remember is a loud BANG and Puntos and Mondeos went spinning through the air.

Hah, I kid. Yeah I nicked his car just above the rear driverside wheel as I went round the corner. There was a little scratch on his and a dent on my bumper.

Haha, I know! I've (thank goodness) only forgotten my keys twice that I can remember. I've got a few good cd's on my work computer so I'm not totally lost as far as the music goes but it's the cash that I'm dying without. I'm almost always snacking on something just because I never know if I'm gonna get to eat lunch and now it's just become habit to have something near me that's mine to eat. I can tell you one thing, I will not forget it tomorrow, lol!

Funny fact I learned in first year computing, The reason she has a backpack in the first game onwards is because the developers couldn't make a frame with such a large chest without creating a hole in the back of her model, so they added a backpack to cover the hole.

Well. Thank God for the backpack then. smiley1.gif

I just watched this film. It is absolutely epic in the true sense of the word. Its unlike any war movie I've seen, it absolutely blew me away.

      True words.

I remember watching Tae Guk Gi first, and then Saving Private Ryan shortly afterward. SPR is a fine film in every respect...but after the emotional rollercoaster of TGG...I didn't feel much of anything with SPR.

I daresay the outcry if he resigned would be greater than that calling for him to do so / go on the chopping block.

But, we're forgetting what's really important in this matter. The Irony
