This journal is late, but it's special. I got to spend a grand week with my lovely girlfriend @heidisapirate, in Melbourne. Highlights include:
Setting up a fishbowl. Heidi is now the proud owner of three amazing gold fish, they recognise her as the great bringer of food, and will nibble her fingers affectionately. Over the week we prepared the bowl: safe water, bubbler, plants, and most importantly - fish. It was fun doing this, I use to breed guppies as a kid, so it has a special place in my heart.
One of our first adventures was to the Melbourne museum. The most important section to see was the dinosaurs and geology section, which was great, but it was surprised to discover how amazing the bugs and insects section was.
I go to meet Heidi's cousin, who was a very nice person. I also lost my Sarge jacket just before meeting her, so there was extra bonding time as we (unsuccessfully) tried to find it.
We also went to the vic markets, first to hang out with Nelly and Bethany, and play some games. Then later to get some more knock off Marvel Lego.
Heidi took me to see the Myer Christmas Windows, which were pretty amazing. Apparently they take all year to prepare and make them, and the quality certainly shows.
To wrap up a fantastic week, we watched the final hunger games movie our final night.
