is an awesome show. Don't get me wrong. It's NOT a game - it's a show that expresses itself through basketball. Nevertheless there were some amazing athletic feats on display last night. It was awesome, truly. I went to the University of Virginia campus in Charlottesville, VA to see them. Apart from the terrifying drive there (dark, windy roads that don't have any painted lines whatsoever in the country) it was a great time. The way back was frightening, of course. It was raining cats and dogs and I'm on the godforsaken country roads of VA. Anyways, it was awesome and I recommend it to anyone who's looking for some good clean, goofy fun. ^^

Single, once again. Sigh. And so ends the happiest relationship of my life. With a whimper and hope for a second chance at a great guy.

I refound this website after a few months of neglect. Maybe I'll dust off the pictures and everything... Is anyone still on here that I used to talk to? New stuff, new stuff.... let's see...

I work in DC now, I'm a government contractor. That's pretty awesome. I pretty much have the job that will directly lead to me getting to do what I went to school for. I am also be freelanced to do some websites and fliers.

I have picked up a whole new set of friends that are awesome. I have a great boyfriend (this are still a little complicated, but that's alright) and I'm pretty happy. I do a lot of karaoke on the weekends, and I go to comedy clubs often.

If anyone's from DC (maybe they have these in PA or MD) I found a fantastic place to get food: PotBelly's Sandwich Shop. I always get the three-cheese, bacon and tomato sandwich - toasted (as they all are) with italian seasonings and hot peppers. OMG. My tummy's rumbling already. ^^

In the photo to the left, I'm wearing my spiffy new noise-cancelling headphones. They're a must when you have to commute 2.5 hours one way on the train/metro. I leave my house at 530AM and get to work at 7:30AM. Then, in the afternoon, I leave at 4PM and get home around 630PM. It makes for a lot of reading. I sleep on the way into work. So far, I've only gotten on the wrong train once (and got stranged in Manassas) and haven't missed my stop yet. ^^ Hopefully it stays that way.

Today is beautiful! It's mid-50s and gorgeous out. I actually have a WINDOW in my new office. It's very exciting. As you can imaging, windows are prime real estate in the DC-metro area. I'm happy with my new job. I think I'm going to go walk and get a sandwich. =]

    • Happy Birthday!

      KFire

To me! As of wednesday, the 30th, I'm officially 24 years old! Ding!

I have recently acquired a second job for the evenings. It's not bad. I'm still in training, so I'll et you know how that goes when I actually start working the job itself. I'll be working a 64 hour workweek from now until December. Kinda rough, but it's only temporary and the money will be nice.

I broke up with my ex-boyfriend (don't remember if I mentioned that) and we started out trying to be friends, but I just flat out don't like him anymore. The little things that I used to ignore or just let slide irritate me. LIke his sexist remarks or juvenile way of speaking. That, and he let his new girlfriend move in with him - after she came up to visit from Alabama. Which of itself isn't bad - except that she came to visit and just moved in; she's 19 and freshly out of high school, and seems to have invaded the group of friends. I say invaded cause I don't like her either. Not because she's dating my ex (although that certainly doesn't help things) but because she's a child and acts like one. That, and she apparently makes bad decisions. But whatever. I'm getting over the angry cause it does me no good to dwell on it. All the same, I'm glad he's gone. I'm glad I don't have to deal with his drama, and living alone is awesome. The only unfortunate is that I live in the same complex he does cause it's the only one i could afford. So I see his car everyday when I go to work. =\

I"m playing WoW again. If you play, look me up. SilverHand server, Avaricia or Kraehe. Horde, of course.^^

Oh! I'm getting another tattoo in about two weeks. I'll post a picture when I get it done. =D

      How are you guys?

So I was hooked into this website called StumbleUpon.com. What you do is you make an account, and put a checkmark next to the things that interest you (ie. Religion, music, fine arts, etc...) and so when you go to this site and sign in, you click the Stumble button at the top. Using your preferences, it takes you to a random website that it thinks you will enjoy. You can thumbs up or thumbs down the site and surf around on it until your bored. Then you hit Stumble again.

Pretty damn nifty. Incidentally, RvB came up for me at one point. ^^

Play-doh is great for manipulating at work. It's squishy but dense making it perfect for strengthening your hands. One day when technology allows it, I will roflstomp someone through the phone with my HANDS.

      Just thinkin'.

    • I"m NOT your IT person.

      KFire

So, you're on this online dating site, right? And you start talking to this guy and he seems really nice. But for some reason, you get irritated everytime he talks to you. No idea why, you just don't want to talk to him. But to be nice, you do.

And this is where I learn to trust my instincts. He starts IMing me about problems he's having with Vista. Now, not only am I totally sick and tired of ppl bitching about Vista to me, but I am NOT your go-to IT person just because its my dayjob. So I give some pretty standard advice - rebooting, reinstalling, etc. And he's like, well I tried that. So I tell him to do some research and as nicely as I could tell him I'm not providing support on my weekends. And then he tells me that he already sent an email to NVidia and they should be getting back to him today. THEN WHY THE HELL DID HE ASK ME? He's already got an answer on the way, or if he googled for two minutes, he'd find some intelligence on it.

God. People can be so dumb... Now I'm irritable.

    • First Date in a long time.

      KFire

So I went on a date last night. He was really nice. He's 31, entreprenuer. I can tell from that that he's driven. Goal-oriented. Which is a good thing. He's not bad looking either. I definately feel comfortable talking to him - it's not like i'm talking to a teenager, which is the feeling I get with my current group of friends (and ex). He's also a widower, which is kind of a kick in the teeth for him... she died about a year ago and he just started dating. It makes me wonder if he's actually ready to start dating. I don't have much experience with it, but I'm sure it's a painful memory for him. He didn't talk about her much, so I'm kinda lost. I expressed condolences, but he acted like he didn't hear me. I can understand that though.

We went to an art gallery - which was really nice. Then we went to a wine bar for a tasting, and that was fun. We had a very good conversation there. We see eye-to-eye on a lot of things. After that, we took a walk downtown and stopped for dinner at a little place down there. Again, the whole experience was pleasant. But then he kissed me. It was a very chaste kiss and it wasn't disgusting.. .like, he didn't kiss like a dog or anything, but his lips were very soft. It's going to make me look really shallow, but it kind of felt like a woman's lips - not manly at all. It kind of threw me for a bit. And there really wasn't any sort of spark there for me.

A little confused about it, but I'll see him again if he calls me. If nothing else, he'd be a really great friend.

Hope you don't mind me spamming your comments page.

My first movie was released on Halo.Bungie.Org today. Here is the listing that the great and powerful Louis Wu put on the front page of HBO.

      "Death by Misadventure
Quikthnkr has put together a rather sizeable machinima - it's called Death by Misadventure, and it's just over 25 minutes long. It has a number of things going for it - kickass original music (John Gold's opening song 'Randy' is GREAT, and Katy Mae's 'Safe and Sound' was a snug fit for the end of the film), a solid plot, good filming and some fun humor. We're hosting BitTorrent downloads of the original WMP9 version of this film (95.2 mb) and a re-encoded QuickTime version (92.2 mb) - if you can play it, the quality on the WMP9 is better, though the QuickTime is certainly watchable. Please - remember to leave your BT windows open, to share the love! (Louis Wu 05:11:31 UTC)"

Regular links in a few days. Watch it. Visit the musicians who contributed at their sites and show them some love for supporting machinima. Buy some of their stuff if you like it. Then come and tell me what you think of the film at my clans forum (www.eradacators.com)... or here. WOOOOT!

Direct links to the WMP9 version are now available. Thanks to Roland and Breakpoint for the generous bandwidth.

There was an American man that had an meeting in France. He met a woman and that night they had their own meeting. While they were where having sex, she was yelling, "TROU FAUX,TROU FAUX." He did not know what that meant, but assumed it to be some sort of praise.
The next day, he went to play golf with the men he had the meeting with. One of them made a hole in one. He yelled, "TROU FAUX,TROU FAUX !"

They looked at him and said, "what do you mean wrong hole?"
