I am surprised by the content of Roosterteeth and the increase in production. I don't know if I'll be able to coherently express my emotions for a mentioned events/productions in the title effectively. I should in the better interest separate them into three journals, but I'm lazy. Take note that I have been following the productions, but more from a distance.
I guess two of the topics Day 5 and Theater Mode has a root interest from RTX so I will start there. I will be returning to RTX this year for the second time. Some lessons learned are appropriate travel arrangement and timing. Last year I set my vacation days one day before and after the event, needless to say, any delay traffic or flight will screw me over. However the event was fantastic, I have always watched the event with a mixture of envy and slight depression/regret. I have supported RT since my discovery in mid to late 2006 around season 4 of RvB. Now that I attended RTX 2015, I had the opportunity to take a picture with Shannon McCormick on the floor, after he asked me if I enjoyed myself, I said yes. He then followed up with "Are you going to come next year?" Without a doubt I said yes. This was not a spur of the moment yes, but an actual yes. This year I am getting a few things signed by Joel and Gus, one has quite a bit of sentimental value.
The next topic is Day 5, in connection to RTX; I remember the news post about a production equal to the Zombie Horde Immersion. After the previous year (said horde immersion), I was thoroughly excited to try and participate, but cannot due to a reprioritization; I was starting Nursing School. So that passed me, and when I saw the clip of Joel hallucinating with the available attendees that made me wish I delayed my nursing one more year. However in retrospect, if I did not start the program that year and unfortunately fail out, I would not get my current job and have the money to go to RTX, buy a car and look into a house. To be on topic I just saw the first episode and decided to not watch the trailers. The trailers are great, but I want to watch it almost blank slate. I have watched the first episode twice without hesitation.
The last is Theater Mode. Theater Mode is very MST3K in a lot of respects, but I am invested in the AH crew. The movies are sometimes bad some requiring playing in the background to get through them, but the AH guys really add to the movies with the banter. If i don't watch this in the background; then some of the movies are a time burner while working out. How this has a root in RTX was in RTX 2015. I never seen any type of MST3K format until the Master Pancake edition of Terminator 2. I probably blew out my voice yelling the drink phrase and laughed really hard. When this was announced in Off Topic, I watched and followed since the Sponsor only test viewing. Since this has a MST3K format, and by proxy my experience with Master Pancake I had to watch this series. Thank you for whoever approved the series and made the decision to run it weekly.
I cannot wait for RTX, the next episode of Theater Mode and Day 5.
