So in order to make myself more active in the community, I'm going to start here:
My name is Kate.
I'm 27 at the moment.
I'm an English major with a minor in Spanish at Wichita State.
I have one cat name Neko (I was going thru a phase) and a goldfish named Little Buddy.
I'm a non-typical student at WSU. When I graduated high school, I was monumentally unprepared for college life and ended up dropping out for a few semesters. After a few false starts, I began my higher education again at a local community college where I got my Associates in Foreign Language; Spanish to be precise. After that I joined WSU, and after many, MANY changes in my major, I decided "Fuck It" and went with my passion of all things literary.
I've found myself in the weird grey-area of being an ambivert. I also don't understand certain nuances of social interaction, so I don't always understand what peoples reactions to me are. It makes things awkward for everyone. Mostly me. It's just one of those things I've gotten use to so the aftermath will only haunt me every 10 years or so.
I currently work in entertainment, specifically theater. No I'm not an actress. But I'm involved in day-to-day goings on and the oh-so-dreaded customer service. Phones are the devil.
I hope one day to be successful and live comfortably, but I think that's what most millennials want. It's still a good dream to have! If I could have a larger circle of friends that would be even better, but first, baby-steps.
