In the world of gaming, we've all experienced levels and areas that are awesome. Some that are just so epic that you'd play that game again just experience it again. Then of course, you've got the levels we all loath with a passion and make us wonder why in gods name did the developers make these levels.
Feel free to discuss an awesome level or a level you resented or both.
Oh and yes, they can even be Multiplayer Maps in games that have them. Multiplayer Maps that are great as well as those that are terrible. Boss levels also count too. But I'm not so much concerned for the boss fight itself but the level it's staged in.
Awesome Level: Assault on the Control Room-Halo CE
Why it's awesome:
It's one of the largest missions of the game with a good variety of enemy encounters, weapons and vehicles as you make your way to Halo's Control Room. It's the only mission to feature a Scorpion Tank as well. Great music for this mission too.
Terrible Level: The Library-Halo CE
Why it's terrible:
Four long floors you need to traverse with similiar passageways each time. Nothing but hundreds of Flood will greet you along the way (save for parts where the Sentinals assist you). It's dark and a bit creepy too. Guilty Spark despite guiding you through this mission does jack shit to help you out (despite the fact that in Halo 3 he apparently is equipped with a laser beam). It's one of the few levels I'm just glad to be through once it's done. It's quite possibly the longest mission in the game too.
