I'm sure yesterday was 2015?
So it's been a while.
I updated my profile picture -finally- but got nostalgic going through my photos so I changed my mind from the GoT Belfast tapestry to my 21 year old self looking like she can't quite comprehend that she's stood between the Jones'.
I poke my nose in and out of the site to see what's up but I mainly consume all content on youtube.
My friend asked me before if I'm gunna stop sponsoring them as I don't use the site for early access but the notion of sponsoring them has never been for anything but showing my appreciation for everyone putting out and making such great content. Just because I don't always use the perks of sponsorship doesn't mean I have to stop.
Me and one of my closest friends @AxelKanon on Twitter have been discussing how to get back to Texas for RTX and due to other plans and funding tripping us at every point we're planning for 2020. Only 5 years after our first TX RTX.
Last year when it was announced that a con would come to London we were ecstatic, we made plans to be up and stay up for the tickets if they were being released America time and we had countdowns on the go.
It wasn't until we realised that ticket sales were going to happen as we were knees deep into another UK convention that we had a slight issue. Its hard to pull your phone out and buy tickets when you're in a dark room, watching a panel by people your a fan of, even worse to just up and leave.
No one wants to be that Dick though there was many a serious discussion of it.
In the end the only thing we could get was a Rwby design for a ticket we didn't have. It was with a somewhat heavy heart we knew that our attempt at a sooner RTX was dashed.
And then we found out what a hit it had been and that there was a consideration of it being a regular con and planning was back on.
So it's now February 2018 and I've just applied to help out as a guardian for RTX London in Sept.
The amount of effort they put into making sure everyone was having fun whether it's during waiting in line for a panel or just as they wandered around the expo hall was incredible. They had the crowd of attendees having a great time and through my years of going to conventions (9years worth of them) I've never seen anything like it.
And I'd kinda like to join in.
See what it's like helping out boosting the fun. Just fingers crossed they like me.
If this ends up being another time capsule I'll try not to leave it as long.
Bye for now though I guess.
