One of the best fan made videos I've ever seen. Has anyone else seen this?
Remember when Burnie asked Gus questions on a podcast when he didn't tell anyone he bought a car? And remember when we all posted questions a while after to keep up with that? Well here we are again. Just to make sure that Gus hasn't done anything over the past year.
1.) Have you had any children in the past year?
2.) Have you secretly moved to New Zealand and/or somehow obtained dual citizenship?
3.) How's that Prius treating you?
Post your own.
I'm agreeing 100% with Burnie on this one. Time Machine is the greatest thing on Macs ever. Of all time. For the past sixth months, I've been taking all of my notes on my computer. Biology, History, Spanish, English, everything. My finals are on Tuesday, and on Thursday night, my hard-drive failed. I though I was royally fucked. How the hell was I going to study for my finals with all of my notes lost? Luckily, I went to my local apple store and they replaced it, no problem. And because of Time Machine, I was able to load a back-up from the night it failed. Nothing lost, everything restored. So. Fucking. Lucky...
We had a Lacrosse game tonight, and a teammate wasn't dressing. He had those flimsy sunglasses that doctors give to patients after they stare into that huge bright light thing. We all just figured he was getting a check up on them or something. We ended up winning the game and our coach called us into the locker room for a team meeting, that's where my friend told us all he had a tumor located right next to his CNS, and he needs surgery on the 20th. Its too deep in for them to remove it, so they're going to have to make an alternate path around it for the spinal fluid.
Its going to be a rough couple weeks.
Our question was "Is reality TV ruining our society?", which is probably one of the worst essay questions I've ever received in the history of standardized tests. But I wasn't at all lost, I remembered Joel's story on him being in LA and having a reality TV crew come into a restaurant and fake an argument, as well as his Deadliest Catch rant. I used both of these as examples and got a 10. Thanks Joel!
Or maybe I'm just really confused. Today's Wednesday, and there's no podcast? Am I just really out of it? I'm only asking because I've gotten maybe 4 hours of sleep a night for the past 2 weeks and I can barely keep my head on straight, it could be Friday for all I know.
The revolutions in Libya and Egypt are all over the place. I took a Military History course this year and learned a hell of a lot about how almost every radical group in the Middle East spawns out of those territories, so its encouraging to see their people actually standing up to corrupt dictators. While I know a small bit about the general history of the countries, I feel like its bigger than what I understand, so I'm doing what Gus did back when the Berlin Wall fell. I don't know how important this is, but I know its big, and I feel obligated to watch it.
