Since I'm in the business of putting out podcasts, I've been listening to a lot of them recently. Apart from obvious choices like the RT Podcast, Joe Rogan Experience and Colt Cabana's Art of Wrestling, there are only three others of note that I think people should listen to. I'm not saying the others are shit, but you listen and judge for yourself. If you want an hour of mundanity that your grandmother would listen to, then there's a few out there for you.
Firstly, TV and Film Review Podcast
I first came across this when we had TheStewDog on Titleless. It's a bit more cultured than your typical review podcast in that they not only talk about the plot of shows and films, but delve a bit deeper and examine the art and layering involved in such productions.
Not only is the podcast a great way to spend some time and broaden your horizon, but the website is fantastic and the writing is professional and covers almost every show and new release wonderfully.
Secondly, The Latecomers Podcast
Again, this came from having guests on Titleless, namely Nic and Becka. They cover a wider array of subjects, but in their own style. The guys will talk about anything and I enjoy the flow of the show. They represent a wide spectrum of RT site members and fans and join the group check them out on YouTube where the latest episodes are posted. They also win second prize in the Best Episode Titles category, behind Titleless of course.
Lastly but by no means least is the newest member of this triumvirate, C Squared
This is the nerdiest podcast on the list, and the most sparse in terms of members. Sam sent me the link as a member of the Titleless group. Along with Michael, Tom and Josh cover anything and everything to do with games, movies, anime, internet, whatever you want them to. They have a group on here and they are also available on iTunes. They're just getting into the swing of recording together and putting it out, but I see their potential, and I urge you to join them on the journey.
Anyway, this is probably my longest journal and I appreciate anyone who reads it all.
Join these groups, give them a listen and enjoy.
You're fucking welcome.
