This is like feeling bad about yourself and then you go to a local county fair down south and you see some couple thats the product of 10 generations of inbreeding. Then you think, "Hey! You know, my family is just fine."

FYI: FLYING PENIS! Would you call it a helicockter?

Einstein Mouse has eluded me, yet again. I made a ring of death out of mouse traps. That's an apple in the center. It remained untouched for several days. I had concluded that he had seen the error of his ways and elected to leave, but not so. A pan with tomato sauce left in the sink yielded many red footprints all over the counter. The force is strong with this one.

      DSCN0895.jpg

I will not be beaten by a mouse, no matter how smart he is! I have devised a new trap:

      DSCN0896.jpg

It's a shoe box with a hole cut at the end and some peanut butter on the other. Einstein Mouse will enter into the darkness of the covered shoe box to get the peanut butter completely unaware of the veritable mouse minefield. Then, SNAP! The world's smartest mouse will meet his end! MUHAHAHAHAHAHA!

If I fail, yet again, I'll bring out the sticky traps.

    • That's cool.

    • Einstein mouse.

So, I thought that I had beaten the mice, but I apparently haven't. I left a trap out with bait and found it set off and the bait gone. I re-baited the trap and tried to reset it. It wouldn't reset. Upon closer inspection, I see that the little bastard had chewed up the plastic coating around the hammer of the trap. The hammer won't reset because just the metal hammer isn't thick enough to catch the clip. The trap has been rendered useless. Obviously, some super smart mouse has come to take revenge against me for killing his family. Be afraid. I am.

I'm no economist, but I have eyes. Everywhere I go, something is for sale: a jet ski, a boat, a car, . . . a house. My paycheck isn't going anywhere near as far as it did a few years ago. Any member of this site will probably remember the P.S.A. about high gas prices. Sarge's comment was that a gallon of gas was still cheaper than a gallon of milk. Not so anymore. Regular unleaded at the local warehouse club was $3.65/gal, while whole milk was $3.07/gal. Whole milk would be the most expensive milk versus the cheapest gas. People were saying that gas would rise over $4.00/gal this summer. But, here in Connecticut, premium gas is already at $4.05/gal. Food prices are also rising. Some stores are already limiting grain purchases. Is this a prelude to rationing? When I went in the store to buy a loaf of bread I was shocked to see that half of the shelves were already bare. I wanted wheat bread, but had to buy white. I still got my bread, just not the kind I wanted.

That last part scares me. Things are very bad in the world, when an American can't get as much as he wants of the food he wants.

And, our government is clueless. Subsides continue to flow to ethanol companies that waste huge amounts of grain on a fuel repeatedly proven not to be an effective replacement for fossil fuels, while Haitians eat dirt because they can't afford rice. Bush is in complete denial on the subject of an economic collapse. Democrats' only response to rising oil prices is to put a larger tax on oil company profits, which is ludicrous. Those taxes will be passed down to the man pumping his own gas. Furthermore, what is the government's motivation to try to get the cost lowered when they're getting a cut? As far as I'm concerned it's simply our government instituting their own bribe.

If America is the new Rome, where is our Caesar?

    • Skybox at Dodd Stadium!

      Mecatchfish

I'm very lucky to have a friend who can get free tickets to the Skybox at Dodd Stadium (home of the CT Defenders). It was very nice. It had A/C, leather sofas and chairs, a refrigerator, a twelve seat balcony, and (best of all) food was delivered to the skybox. No running to the concession stand between innings for us! It was a great game with the Defenders beating the Redding Phillies 5-4. I'll never forget it. Also, pictures:

The skybox was almost right behind home plate.

      DSCN0868.jpg

      The kids loved it!

      DSCN0869.jpg

What is this? A toilet? Right behind the right field bleachers?

      DSCN0885.jpg

It was the best seat in the house. I just couldn't resist. (And, I really had to go.)

      DSCN0883.jpg

      Never miss a single play!

      DSCN0884.jpg

      It's okay. Cutter forgave me.

    • The gym and Wheel of Fortune.

Around the eliptical trainers at the gym, there are a bunch of TVs. Usually I don't pay attention, but last night I watched Wheel of Fortune. Wow! I didn't know that Pat Sajak was still alive. And, Vanna White still looks good after all these years. She must be like 60-something by now. The last time I watched it she was an absolute necessity because the letters had to be turned by hand. Imagine my utter amazement at the board, when Vanna didn't actually have to turn the letters around. She just touched them and they changed. Incredible!

I don't think it's possible to believe in nothing.

Carl Sagan was a very famous atheist. But, he referred to the universe as "all that is, was, or ever will be" (borrowing obviously from the Bible). In a sense, he had de-ified the universe and it had become his god. Cosmos could be considered a form of worship, then.

That's an extremely linear interpretation, not to mention a huge leap of logic.

(Fat nerdish guy with glasses and a pony tail talking)
My love of Anime is beyond any level 57 black mage, im seriously those guys are splooges, anyway, anime is like a new world that i can explore and interact. My love of anime surpasses those goth and emo kids that watch adult swim every night, like they no the true values of anime and manga, they only appreciate the manga and anime for its dark humor and awesomeness. They never take the time to fully understand the background of the writer or artist that draw them. I'm very meticulous at watching anime and reading manga. I mean the artistic value is very beautiful and highly detailed. I wish some people can be like me and feel my love for anime. I also loves those...you know...imitations of anime...turned you know...naughty. :) You, my dear friend, is truly one of me, one of us in this online community site. would you, mecatchfish, video chat with me about anime and manga alike?

      END

Ha, i kinda scared myself. As an armature writer, i think this is one of my worst and mean things i can write about.
