Finally in Austin. Got to explore the City a bit more than last year. Really glad I booked a week instead of just the weekend.

Looking forward to an awesome time!

    • Sponsor MC Server Shenanigans

      MiraSuMuerte /dev/null

      So,

Finally getting the hang of Vanilla Minecraft. Well, mostly vanilla. But I've been tuning into the RT Sponsor server for Minecraft every time it's been reset. Granted I would die roughly...15-45minutes in each time, I really dig the antics and wonders that happen each time.

Now that hardcore is gone, I can die and not have to wait for a reset. This is groovy, I have finally built my own little hobbit hole.

Last night the server was raided by a benevolent, yet capricious overlord.

      h00kisback(sp?) aka Jon Risinger.

What started as a simple expedition for more wood became strange.

Suddenly, a block of terrain was gone. I, and another individual, had dropped into a giant pit. Startled, we frantically tried to mine our way out. After getting to the top, We gazed into the hole, shrugged, and then chalked it up to a glitch.

Then it filled with water and became a giant pool.

      3151d621_DAFUQ.jpeg

Ok, that's cool. Maybe the map is freaking out. I looked off for a moment, then looked back and it was gone. Completely filled up as normal, grass, nothing weird here. Ok. THEN I DROPPED INTO A PIT AGAIN.

AND THE FLOOR IS MADE OF DIAMONDS.

Ok, I have an iron pickaxe, lets do thi- and then the whole pit was full of water again.

      DAFUQ_1336793992.jpg

These random changes went on for roughly 10 minutes before my compatriot drowned. I mined a hole in the side of the wall to escape, and collected my partner's items. By now we had figured out there was an entity behind all of this madness.

I asked to be teleported to the other individual's spawn so I could give his stuff back. I was. There's the benevolent.
      .
      All that remains is capricious.

Jon must have grown tired of playing with just two of us, and made an announcement broadcast for everyone to meet at spawn.

This is where shit gets crazy.

For the next three hours the ground was randomly removed, replaced with diamonds, obsidian, webbing, Ice, water, glass, and bedrock. Reminder: this is in spawn. We cannot place or remove ANY blocks in the surrounding area.

Thousands of chickens began spawning. Then Cows. Then Pigs. Then Snowmen. Then Zombie pigmen.

A cult of the hole was formed. And in that moment, we were all Edgar.

      madness.jpg

And then..he encased us an enormous sphere of bedrock. And spawned a wither inside.Twice.

      ...

I just wanted to remind you, in case you thought I didn't like you anymore, that you are ugly as fuck and you have a face only a mother could love.

Also, you enjoy the company of little boys.

When you are watching someone shoot rather than doing the shooting yourself, it gets pretty boring...

Lol, my brothers and I were all taking turns (we each had our own targets). Between the three of us, we probably went through two bricks of ammo.

    • asianeyes

Lol, I actually lol when I first found out what a Springfield XD was. I don't really don't know my weapons all to well either but the Springfield is pretty cool... complicated... but cool. Comparable to the "Big Daddy" And safer (won't go off if you drop it). Although I'd have to say it's heavier and a bit mor complicated that the Glock.

As far as shooting... I get to do it every once in a while, but it depends on whether or not my family and friend want to go because I have yet to buy my own weapon. I want to get my conceable hand gun license before I get a hang gun.

    • asianeyes

Lol, nah it's cool. I'm not sure what model it was... it wasn't mine. I was just firing it. I do know that it is dual safety action semi-automatic... At least that is what I picked up while firing it. If i remember right, I was loading the magazine with 13 bullets... So it is probably an XD45

Just something I've been dealing with for the past year, and old wound I have had, as of Tuesday, about eight surgeries on. I was never given enough time to heal by my unit, they kept whining about giving me the convalescent leave that no less than four doctors recommended I get, so I either got put on full duty anyway, or some light duty with which they tried to skirt the profile.

After getting a letter from my surgeon explaining I should not be doing anything but laying down and taking it easy, as moving would make the wound worse and keep it from healing, my flight surgeon said to me, "Well, there's gotta be something you can do in Battalion HQ while laying down on a couch, like data entry or something." This, looking unprofessional and losing dignity in a building frequented by brass and senior NCOs. I wanted to punch him.

But yeah, what it boils down to is this new surgeon did a weird new surgery and fixed it a couple months ago, but there was one raw part of the surgical wound that wasn't healing, so he closed it this weekend.

I really don't understand why company commanders actually have the authority to disregard advice from docs and disapprove convalescent leave recommendations. The doctor should order it, and it should be as simple as that.

If I'm not mistaken, the longest acronym is in the Navy somewhere. Uses virtually every letter of the alphabet. I've only seen it once.

I know the Navy rates, just not all of them. But it all changes when they hit chief. Chiefs are their own special breed of Kahki. Jerrod's up for AT3 this half of the year, but who knows if he'll be able to take his test with his work schedule.

Actually Kaida is Japanese, and it's pronuciated Ki-aide-a. So her middle name (an easy one for everyone else) is Annabel. We liked it for it wasn't what everyone else was naming their kids (Jane, Emily, Martha, etc).

I doubt she'll stay in for her full term. Most first time babies come out anywhere from 1.5-4 weeks early. It's mainly the mother's body not having done this before.

    • Megan327

ok, so I'm not the only one with the messed up body clock this morning... afternoon... day. lol. brain needs a "reset" button.

Kaida (the baby) is due 20 August, though I think she'll come early.

Is it really afternoon already? Holy cow. Um... I'm fine, just a little groggy. Guess it's the pregnancy thing. Pregnancy mucks up everything in the body. never again, and if it does happen again, not willingly.
