Well, arguably the health insurance industry is the best example... but that's for a different thread.

Because I'm not going to post this 3 pages back in the forum I'll answer you directly.

Simple answer: I don't see the point in discussing something that everyone agrees with.

More in depth: I do not check the forums every day...maybe once or twice a week. When reading back through 70-100 posts, if there are 3 things I agree with and 10 I don't, the "agreements" are going to go to the bottom of the pile and probably not even get a response.

And even if you haven't seen it, I have agreed with people on here...just not often. And much the same that you said you have been tempted to agree with me just to see if I would argue...I have done this on the forum and got the same response from y'all that you expect from me but from DoNothing, DiMono, and Chi.

Add that when I post something a lot of you simply disagree with, I get flamebaited, WTF, etc... I avoid that issue at all times unless someone actually throws an insult at me. So answer me, why the fuck should I respect any of you fuckers enough to tell you I agree with you when I'm never given the respect of at least following the forum rules? There is zero benefit for me expressing agreement when with nearly every response I get insults whether my argument is rational, based on a source, or a simple opinion.

You cannot be a conservative on this board without putting up with a lot of bullshit. There are effectively 3 people who MIGHT respond to a comment. When you have an overwhelming majority of liberal mindsets on the board, the only time you're going to get a response is when what you see as normal and expected is against someone's opinion. If you can't see that you chase away anything but the die-hards willing to argue with the wall...you need to check yourself.

You've (generic) been called out by Mex. and reading the responses to him, pretty much everyone told him he was wrong. You've now made at least a personal acknowledgement about the same...it would be nice if our moderators actually moderated...but I don't expect it.

I'm going to try to be honest and straightforward here. I tend to think I'm one of the, if not the most, liberal person on this forum. I think being that far away from everyone else gives me a little bit of perspective. Obviously, we're going to disagree on pretty much every policy issue(you and I, that is). But you did just make a point that is incredibly obvious, in hindsight. About agreeing with us. There really is no point to post if you're just going to +1 ditto the person you're replying to. That said, I have to commend you for putting up with the amount of shit you do. I've made this point a few times, this forum is nothing but a liberal circle jerk. Everyone (from my point of view at least) spends their time arguing against one another on what I see as minor policy differences. When someone like you (and again, perfect honesty, we disagree on almost everything) comes on here, you're going to get flamed. I know I've joined in with that at least a few times. and I'm sure I directly insulted you. Sorry, half the time I'm on here I'm drunk or angry. At this very moment, I'm tipsy and I apologize. Maybe part of it is that people are unaware of their own bias. Another point might be, and I know this will come across as an insult, that the conservative/republican position on the issue is just wrong. But whatever. If you hold your positions in good faith, then good for you. I'll do my part from now on to try and stay civil. Obviously I can't make that claim for everyone else. But I thank you for taking the time to answer my question.

I will give you one word of advice though,

Yes, I know. It would have been funnier if you said something along the lines of "before bobo swoops in and steals a rook." Better in-joke.

So yeah... bobo is what, in his thirties? Pretty much a lost cause.

No doubt. I think that panic attack really freaked me out there. The whole time I was like, "Make it stop, make it stop," and rockin' back and forth, rubbing my thighs. And if I concentrated on a body part, it would like, throb in a static-y sort of way.
