      Sorry this has taken so long, with lack of sleep, meds, new Art class(whoohoo!) & a Furry in "Heat" I've only been on to make comments & see how everyone is doing...Life is Good, Though!

      Well...Where were we....The All nighter...I'm so not doing that again...LOL! We always Have Black Eyed Peas, Greens, Cornbread & either Ham or Roast Pork Shoulder( smiley7.gif ) After the fiasco with the pork, I count myself lucky that, previously in the year, I had made a very Large batch of Black Eyed Peas & Greens & Froze half of them!!! That saved me from spending the whole day over the stove cooking...geeze...I just spent the whole night cooking or waiting for it to cook (pork)! Around 4pm my Hubby made his Cornbread, we packaged the infamous Pork into meal size portions...with a tiny bit to add to the "BEP's", Slowly heated them...got Laundry going! I rested as much as I could, until we realized that our female furry was in heat...just what I needed! smiley7.gif That made for an interesting day! The "BEP's" & Cornbread came out great...we enjoyed our dinner, relaxed for a bit, listened to some really cool music, chased both furries around to keep them apart( that's another story in itself!), then began getting packed to go to Chico for an early Birthday dinner For my Hubby's Son & so that I could meet him & His wife...besides being Very Tired...I was anxious about meeting the Young Man...he thought I was some "Ogre" that broke his parent's up...Not So! Soooo...we finished cleaning up from dinner, finally(wisely) put the furries in their kennels( boy...is that another story...LOL!), I put the clothes I had washed, to take with us, in the dryer...I figured they'd be done in the AM when we got up, put them in our bag & Done Deal...Right!? But NO..."Mr Murphy" just had to visit!!! smiley7.gif About 11pm the electricity decides to die, OMG!!! The Laundry!!! It's still Wet!!! Sh_ _!!! Then I realize if it doesn't come back on...we won't have water, either smiley7.gif @#*!%#...NOT TO MENTION, even if there was water pumping & water pressure...IT WOULDN'T BE HOT!!! We Have a Stupid ELECTRIC water heater (it came with the house & you have to have Money to buy a new GAS one...thought of that...just No Money smiley7.gif Hate money or the need of it!) smiley4.gif Well...after all that had happened new Years Eve(& all through the night & the Furries) I was Overwrought & just wanted to cry...the Hubby just laughed & said that we would just have to make do...my youngest kept telling me to calm down, get some sleep (Right!) That the power might come on in the morning...And Low-n-Behold!!! It did...for all of 25 minutes...which was enough to dry what we needed for our trip (when I took everything else, but that, out), fill & heat some water! WhooHoo! We were able to wash hair & take a Real Quick shower, before we were forced to become Members of the"Polar Bear Club" The only thing I couldn't do was dry my Hair...I can deal with that!!! But Have you ever tried to take a shower or shave by Flashlight!?? Now that was fun! smiley6.gifsmiley0.gif We eventually got out the door, only a half hour later than we had planned...but felt bad about leaving Marbiuel there to watch the Furry Babies (especially the Female) with no power...we asked her to call us when it came back on...Oh that was the other pooper...no power...No Phone either smiley2.gif !!! We have a cell phone & have Neighbors with one in case she needed anything! We have some Terrific Neighbors! smiley0.gifsmiley12.gif

      Our trip went smoothly...I slept most of the way...a good thing, I was exhausted! Marbiuel called around noon to let us know that the power had come on & would only call again if an emergency arose or the power went off again..."Mr. Murphy" must have gone home...YAY!!! When we arrived in the Chico area, we stopped at Hubby's sisters home to get cleaned up a bit & so I could re-wet my Hair & Blow dry it...not Vain...just wanted to make a good First Impression...remember he Thought I was an ugly"Ogre" & I had worked to hard to get this relationship off the ground, to walk in looking like a drowned, old goat! LOL! We then went to Hubby's Parent's home where the Dinner was to take place! Since no one was to arrive until around 7pm & it was only 3pm...we relaxed a bit, then jumped into making The boy's favorite dish of his Grand Mother's! Mom Told me what to do & I Made The "Whole Enchilada" Casserole...from scratch, from start to finish...Yes, I was tired, but, there's a method to my "Madness"...now I know "2" of my Step Son's Favorite Dishes (the other being Italian, Tomato Sauce Spaghetti & Meatballs & Boy can I make That!!! was taught from the best Italians...Woot!) Remember I'm Trying to win him over!!! My Step Daughter & her Family came, too...which was a pleasant surprise...it made the Tense Meeting of my Step Son & his wife, go a little Smoother...Only the "Powers that Be" know the Dreadful things the boy's mother had filled both their minds with...none of it nice, either! (liars have their negative Karma catch up with them, soon enough) Dinner went Great...OMG! That Boy can eat!!! He had 4 helpings of the Casserole, before he realized that we still had dessert & let me take his plate away! LOL!!! At least I'll know how much Sauce, Meatballs & Spaghetti, when they decide to come visit us!!! Just Hope we have enough $$$ for what it's gonna cost in supplies! LOL!!! After dinner Everything went pretty good...we watched an old Video of Scott when he was just a baby & in to the Toddler stage...quite Funny, since all through the video his older Sister, Sarah, pretty much took over the body of the film!!! She hasn't changed a Bit...LOL...likes to be the center of Attention! smiley0.gif The only uncomfortable part was having to watch the ex wife in the video...I just kept smiling...Scott, glanced over a few times trying to see if I was gonna react...I didn't..at least not negatively! Was glad to get a chance to see our Grand Daughters & play with them...I miss them so much!

I'm laughing, saying it's ok, I'll fix something else...the Hubby is Frustrated & appologetic...he sits down on the couch while I go look for something else to feed him...soon I here snoring & realize he's done! I also realize that that Roast is still on the grill...so I wake my sleepy Guy, have him take the roast off the Grill and put it in the oven & send him off to bed...Figuring that I could watch the roast until it was done! LOL!!! That Dang thing didn't hit the right Temp until 3:50am Jan.1, 2009...I've no idea how I stayed up so long & was still able to move & see straight! By the Time I got the roast out & things cleaned up, it was going on 5am...But the Roast was done & Tastey...guess what we had for Breakfast!?.... smiley0.gif I had just gotten to sleep & The Hubby was rising...couldn't understand why I was so Cold...he was shocked when I told him...but Happy that the roast was ok...better than ok! • 3rd Epidural

      10 years ago

      MoonFire77

      Well...yesterday I had my 3rd Epidural on my upper back...the word "Pain" doesn't even begin to describe what it felt like! Geese...I just hope it works!!! That is the last of the Epidurals for now! I go back in on the 5th of Jan. for consultation to see how the upper back is behaving & to talk about the "Discography" procedure they will be doing on the lower back to eleviate the damage there....hopefully help with the nerve problems I'm having with my legs, cuz of the pinched discs. I'm tired of Falling...you have no Idea!...@#%!

      For now though I have to take it easy, let the procedure work & wait until the pressure at the injection (& the pain) to ease up so I can tell if most of the pain has or will subside! Crossing all fingers & toes (lol...if I could,Toes that is!) I sure hope I haven't endured more pain for Nothing! I'm a little Anxious about this next procedure cuz I think they have to go inside the Discs...?! I want pain relief so I can do more, be more of who I used to be...just don't want to be paralized trying to get there!

      So Please send some Positive Thoughts & Energy this way & wish me Luck!!! Even a few days of relief is better than what I've been living with...I guess!

      Hope you All have a Wonderful Yule Season Celebration & that All the Good things in Life are yours Now & Always! ;D

    • WORST FIRST DATE...From The Tonight Show

      10 years ago

      MoonFire77

      Or "How I Met Your Mother"...it's the most unique & original story I've ever Heard...LMAO! xD

      If you didn't see this on the Tonight show, I hope you're sitting down
      when you read it. This is probably the funniest date story ever, first
      date or not!!! We have all had bad dates but this takes the cake.

      Jay Leno went into the audience to find the most embarrassing first date
      that a woman ever had.

      The winner described her worst first date experience. There was absolutely
      no question as to why her tale took the prize!

      She said it was midwinter... Snowing and quite cold...and the guy had
      taken her skiing in the mountains, outside Salt Lake City, Utah .

      It was a day trip (no overnight). They were strangers, after all, and
      truly had never met before.

      The outing was fun but relatively uneventful until they were headed home
      late that afternoon.

      They were driving back down the mountain, when she gradually began to
      realize that she should not have had that extra latte.

      They were about an hour away from anywhere with a rest room and in the
      middle of nowhere!

      Her companion suggested she try to hold it, which she did for a while.

      Unfortunately, because of the heavy snow and slow going, there came a
      point where she told him that he had better stop and let her go beside the
      road, or it would be the front seat of his car. They stopped and she
      quickly crawled out beside the car, yanked her pants down and started.

      In the deep snow she didn't have good footing, so she let her butt rest
      against the rear fender to steady herself.

      Her companion stood on the side of the car watching for traffic and indeed
      was a real gentleman and refrained from peeking. All she could think about
      was the relief she felt despite the rather embarrassing nature of the
      situation. Upon finishing however, she soon became aware of another
      sensation.

      As she bent to pull up her pants, the young lady discovered her buttocks
      were firmly glued against the car's fender.

      Thoughts of tongues frozen to poles immediately came to mind as she
      attempted to disengage her flesh from the icy metal. It was quickly
      apparent that she had a brand new problem due to the extreme cold.

      Horrified by her plight and yet aware of the humor of the moment, she
      answered her date's concerns about "what is taking so long" with a reply
      that indeed, she was "freezing her butt off" and in need of some
      assistance!

      He came around the car as she tried to cover herself with her sweater and
      then, as she looked imploringly into his eyes, he burst out laughing.

      She too, got the giggles and when they finally managed to compose
      themselves, they assessed her dilemma.

      Obviously, as hysterical as the situation was, they also were faced with a
      real problem. Both agreed it would take something hot to free her chilly
      cheeks from the grip of the icy metal!

      Thinking about what had gotten her into the predicament in the first
      place, both quickly realized that there was only one way to get her free.

      So, as she looked the other way, her first-time date proceeded to unzip
      his pants and pee her butt off the fender. As the audience screamed in
      laughter, she took the Tonight Show prize hands down. Or perhaps that
      should be "pants down." And you thought your first date was embarrassing.

      Jay Leno's comment... "This gives a whole new meaning to be ing pissed off.

      Oh, and how did the first date turn out? He became her husband and was
      sitting next to her on the Leno show.

      Have you ever noticed that when you owe money or a purchace is made on your Bank Card...the funds are removed imediately...I mean...Snap! & they're gone!!!? But when a business or Bank realizes or most often, you point thier "Blunder" out to them, that they charged you to much or it wasn't Authorized...The bank & or the company makes you Wait, Forever, to get Your Money Back!?! What is Up With That!?!

      The Flippin IRS & State Tax Board do that crap too! We are made to wait...for what is rightfully (wrongly taken, I might add) ours...with No recourse as to the time it takes them to return the refund...o_0

      What is wrong with our Government, Finacial Institutes, Corporate Business, etc. that they have forgotten about everyone but thier own pockets & how much more Power they can wield?! Dangling our Livelyhoods over a precipice, for thier own benefit & Amusement!!! When will it end!?

      Where's the Justice...Consideration for the little Guy...Common Courtesy...Respect....Humanity??!!!

      I'm...We, are not just a number....>_<,

      Ok! Got That Off My Chest...not really! But I feel a little better...well sorta....^_^

    • Automated systems & online Apps Suck...

      10 years ago

      MoonFire77

      I Spent all day trying to get in touch with State Disability & Social Security to make appointments or have them send me applications, advice, Help...whatever!!! When I finally was able to speak to a real person and gave my info for about the 50th time...I was told to go apply online...o_o Why can't you ever get any real Help from Government agencies or anywhere for that Matter...even when you get a human to pick up they still sound & act like the metallic voice on the automated system & aren't any more Helpful...+_+ Why are these applications so hard to fill out!? :(

      I realized I was SOOOO Not prepared! I need so much more info than I thought I needed or have...good god...why do they need my ex ball-n-chains SS#...like I can get that from him...I want to scream...AAAAARRRRGGGGHHH! Not to mention when you try to put in the info they ask for...it won't go through & they keep asking for it. I'm gonna have to gather up what I do have, wait for hours at the local office & see what they say...I wanted to avoid the lines...not gonna Happen...cuz the online form is to confusing, my head feels like it's gonna explode & the body is screaming at me again. >_< I feel like I wasted my whole afternoon & feel really dumb, frustrated & exhausted! *sad sigh* +_+ I need a Job...that will solve everything?! Geese.....*trying to smile* need a glass of wine. ^_^

Shoppings done!

      The best part of our Holiday was being able to be with our Family, catch up & see my inlaws Orchard/Lanscaping Ranch through the eyes of a 6 & 10 year old...the kids were so excited with all the things to do & explore!!! ! My Brother-in-law took a shine to my Grandson Cobi, taught him how to drive the Tractor, then let him drive it by himself!!! He's only 6, so you can imagine the Giant Smile & sense of Pride that lit up his beautiful little face!!! This behavior by the Brother-n-law was so out of Charactor we were all pleasantly surprised & Pleased!!! My Inlaws are the Most Loving & Giving People on the Planet...we are truly Blessed!!! My Grandchildren didn't want to go home when it was time to leave & now my little man wants to be a Farmer...just so he can drive the Tractor! We've been calling him Tractor Boy & he just lights up! I'm resting up right now...our Holiday was Great Fun...but Drained me! The Hubby doesn't want me to work, but you can't survive & pay the bills on a single income these days...So if any of you...friends or not...know of any legit home jobs...Please don't Hesitate to let me know!!! Thanks! No matter what Happens...as long as I've got my Family & Friends I know we'll be ok! LOL!... the bills won't get paid, but we'll be just fine!!!!

      Hmm *raises eyebrow*
      Maybe you have something there.

      Now then, are we talking "coup" or a lesser effort like "anarchy"? smiley0.gif

      Yeah, that would be something to mull over if people could unite. But "The Man" has alternative plans in case something like that would happen I'm sure.

      I figure it would be a great idea, but thinking about it... I think it would only make matters worse. Of course we did go through the 60s and made it ok didn't we?

      I think the show was just called "Rebus"

      There's a few like that, like "Taggart", the Scottish police drama, named for the lead investigator... I think he was John Taggart. The actor died, but carried on with his team and kept the name for the show.

      Monday was pretty much a loss - I made it to work - but thankfully was able to leave early (not on call for a change). I felt much better today - and I'm realizing just how bad off I was belatedly - I've got a book I don't remember buying and my spouse says I had quite a chat with the author - who autographed it for me! I don't remember it at all!

      They have a couple organizations for 'wannabes' here in FL - the New World Celts and Clan MacBubba - which I registered my spouse to be an official member of... for fun. They take themselves seriously - have a tartan and field athletes for the games - many of them are pipers as well.

      Cool, yeah, I can use that image you posted. Actually I need at least a couple more as I'm making like a "set". And as I stated, it can be of anything that reflects who you are...a piece of artwork, a drawing, or a nature picture you've taken, you know, something like that.

      I want my XP back, but I can't get it, and all the drivers formy built-in hardware only run on Vista anyway.

      I would have loved to had a BBQ but the farmer still owned the animal. Lord only knows what the inside of the bull was like after being hit by a 70mph train. Probably wasn't worth more than dog food.

      I think I have this dishwashing business just about figured out. My granddaughter had me read a book about a little old man who was left home alone when his wife went visiting. After several days, he started running out of dishes and began to eat out of flower pots. Just as things started getting desperate, a heavy rain storm came. He got a brilliant idea and loaded all the dishes in the back of his pickup. As he drove around town in the rain, the dishes in the back got washed. I thought of trying that but -5F and snow probably wouldn't do a very good job of cleaning. Since Dear Wife isn't coming back for another week, I can probably hold out for better weather, as long as I don't run out of flower pots.

      Your guarantor must:

      1. Hold a five-year Canadian passport that is valid* or has been expired for no more than one year, on the day you submit your application;
      2. Have known you personally for at least two (2) years.
      In the case of a child, have known you (parent or legal guardian) personally for at least two (2) years and have knowledge of the child;
      3. Be a Canadian citizen 18 years of age or older;
      4. Have been 16 years of age or older when he or she applied for his or her own passport;
      5. Provide the requested information contained in his or her passport;
      6. Be accessible to Passport Canada for verification;
      7. Reside in Canada, in the United States or in any of the areas where submission of the "in Canada and in the USA" application form is authorized, e.g.: Bermuda. It is not necessary that the guarantor reside in the same country as the applicant.

      So many decisions... also the flight to SF went cheap again... smiley3.gif ... smiley0.gif lol
      idk.. idk.. idk... idk... idk.... smiley4.gif

      Ummm.... no i dont haz teh passport... things didn't go as planned.. heh

      Original Plan: Fill out and submit Application at the Passport Office.
      FAILED: Needed a Guarantor who knows me and has a passport.

      New Plan: Fill out application, get photos taken (DONE), get a Guarantor and mail out application sometime this week.. hopefully.

      Also.. when i was waiting for my flight last friday, I met my former boss there and he said that his daughter's passport took 4 months to get. smiley3.gif

      oh no... i should try to opt for a "rush service" to my application.. smiley7.gif but it's more expensivo... smiley4.gif

      A couple of months ago, my brother in law wanted to try a pig. He had a small one mounted on a spit over a charcoal fire. To turn it, he had scavenged a rotisserie off an old grill. Problem was it would only turn part way before quitting. Turned out one side of the pig was heavier than the other. DadHavoc to the rescue! Clamped a set of vice locks on the end of the spit, now everything was balanced and it turned perfectly. Just a little home grown ingenuity. The charcoal wasn't nearly hot enough so many hours later, it was finally ready. Like yours though, it was well worth the wait.

      Yeah, it is cool. I was looking up something to write a journal about concerning the Utah Utes and this was the first thing I ran across, so I opted for the profile page instead of a journal. Funny how things work out, lol.

      So my youngest is sorta like a spittin' image huh? lol.

      Speaking of spittin' image. That's the name of group back in the 70s I used to listen to a lot when I was in Ohio. I must make post a YouTube song by them so you can hear a song. They were a good party band and well, they make you get up and dance too, but don't try it, just sit and listen, as I will too, cause I just don't know how to dance, haha!

      We'll leave the dancing to one awesome "killartist", lol... she's the dancer.
