Hello all, how is it going for everyone? Today is the 7 year anniversary of my enlistment into the U.S. Army. So today I'm raising a beer to the past 7 years and to what could possibly be the next 13. Hope you all enjoy your Friday and your weekend. Also Happy Birthday U.S. Coast Guard! 233 years and counting.

    • Happy anniversary everybody.

First of all I want to say happy anniversary to the entire United States of America and our citizens and military abroad. What anniversary you ask? Why it is the second anniversary of Osama Bin Laden being killed by our forces in Pakistan. I know that my expression of happieness may not align with everyone elses view of the event but that is the joy of being in the U.S. i can voice my views even if it offends others, and they can respond in kind. Now you may be asking, "How does one celebrate this most joyous of day?" Let me tell you, I eat pork and drink some form of alochol. Yeah I know that I'm targeting some of the practices of the Moslems but he is dead so I can not attack him directly so I attack a relegion that he bastardized for his own needs.

Secondly, my woman and I have been raising meat rabbits and recently we had two die. Not wanting to let the fur and meat go to waste I skinned it and then we boiled them for 30 minutes to cook and kill anything in them. Then we fed the dog. She was quite happy. Now hang on don't get in an uproar because we fed the dog. We believe that the rabbits were too young to get fresh greens and that lead to dehydration and thats what killed them. We do provide water to them we don't just depend on nature to water the little critters. Anyhoo, I stretched and dried the skins and I would like to know if anyone out there knows any good methods for storing dried pelts?

Have a good May 1st and happy anniversary.

Hey everyone out there. Hows it going? Finally starting to enjoy the weather here in PA. I just dug up my area for a garden and put in all my saved up compost under the dirt. I've got peas, beans, tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, melons, pumpkins, and a whole lot of other plants already started for planting. Me and my woman are fixing up our rabbit hutch so we can raise meat rabbits, mmm tasty.

I have a question for everyone that stumbles across my little post here. Why is it that when Zues comes down and has sex with a woman and creates Hercules we lable it a legend, but when god does it and creates Jesus we call it a miracle? I was talking with a guy that I work with who is also a youth pastor and he said that it is all dependent on what we believe in. I just wanted to know what everyone else's view on it was.

      Thanks for reading.

Holy hell, this whole Patreaus story sounds like one of Matt's conspiracy theories. The love triangle has morphed into a love hexagon. I don't know about any of you but this all really stinks of bullshit. Three women, one top general, one former top general and CIA director, and an unsexed (probibly male) shirtless FBI agent. Doesnt this sound like a game of What do theses people have in common?

    • Veterans Day 2012

I am writing this on the 12th of November. Thats right the day after Veterans day. Yesterday I put on my hat, went to the VFW, ate with my brothers and sisters, and listened to them bullshit with eachother. Yesterday was a good day.

Today sucks ass. Why in the name of Posiden's salty asshole do kids have today off from school? When I was still in high school and elementary school we didn't get the day off. Why? Because we didn't do shit to warrant it. We didn't run around with all sorts of heavy shit on us weighing us down while we are in potentional danger. We woke up, we ate, we bitched about nonsense issues, and we wasted time. When Veterans Day rolled around we all piled into the Auditorium at my Highschool and we sat and listened to the guest speaker. Then the VFW Memorial Detail would read off a list of our honored dead both those killed in combat and those that we had lost in the past year. Once the names were read off there would be a moment of silence followed by a 21 gun salute and a live playing of taps. We never expected to get the day off. Hell I looked forward to those Veterans Day gatherings. It was at the Veterans Day gathering in my 11th grade year that I decided to join the U.S. Army.

So why in the hell do the schools give the kids a pass for the day? I have heard one thing. "So they can all go out and thank a Veteran." Not likely. The kids and hell most U.S. Citizens dont do it unless the news reminds them to do it so what does giving them the day off accomplish? Alll they are going to do is sit inside and play video games. (Nothing wrong with video games so stop.) The people at the school have to be kidding themselves if they honestly believe that the kids are going to go thank a Veteran. Guess I'm just bitching because I can.

How did your Veterans Day go?

To my brothers and sisters, thanks for playing the game. - 11B

      Happy Belated Birthday Marine Corps.

She said yes. We are planning on having a Viking themed wedding somewhere near the finger lakes in New York. The reception that we have in our heads involves a massive bonfire, a pig roasted on a spit, and a beer wagon. If all you creative people out there (or anyone that just stumbled across this journal entry) have any other ideas leave a comment. We have about 2-3 years to plan so no real big rush

Ok, so back in January my girlfriend and I went down to Nashville, TN. We saw the Country Music Hall of Fame which is an amazing place. We also went to both the Friday and Saturday showings of the Grand ole Opry. That was great fun. During the Friday showing of the Grand ole Opry I proposed to her. What do you all think that she said.

    • What I have Realized.

So over the past few weeks I've been listening to the Occupy (enter city or street here) protest reports I have realized one thing. There is 1% of the population that controls the wealth of the nation. That 1% is a larger precentage of the population than those that serve in the United States Armed Forces. Our current force measures roughly .4% of the population. That suprises me. I don't know how that knowledge affects you.

If .4% is willing to stand up for the nation then why is it that everytime there is a national budget train wreck all eyes seem to shift directly to the DoD (Department of Defense)? I realize that the military has a lot of projects that it is funding that may or may not bare fruit for several years to possibly decades but limiting the budget wont stop the funding to the projects its just going to cause the top brass to cut troop strength instead. And all athe gear in the world is useless unless you have a trained operator for it.

Also if you're cutting troop strength you've picked a hell of a time to do it. So we are closing the doors on Iraq (I've been there and I wear my hat proudly. I love being deployed and I'd go back or where ever my uncle wants to send me.) thats good, for now, and eventually we will be out of Afganistan most likely sooner rather than later. Starting next year we will have only one major theater of operation. So the nation will have a gross of returning veterans and an amazing deficet of jobs. They may or may not be able to stay with the military. If they cant then there will be even more people included in the monthly unemployment polls.

You can't say that the average young adult United States Citizen doesn't have the desire to face the adversity that stems from service in the military. There are enough people that are ready to do it. We just have to be alowed to go out there and put foot to ass. I believe that the United States should adopt Israel's defense policy. Everyone serves for a minimum of two years upon graduation from high school. The youth entering the military would be able to choose what job they want and in which ever branch they would like so long as the can muster the strength to pass the tests of basic training and AIT (I'm an Infantryman in the U.S. Army so I write using Army acronyms my bad if that makes it difficult for the other branches to read.) If you can't muster the strength you re-test for either a different job or a different branch. I know there are a lot of people that would hate on this idea saying that its a draft and such. I have spoken to draftees at the VFW and the ones that I have spoken to are happy that they were drafted. So maybe mandatory military service wouldnt be a bad thing.

If anyone reads this please leave a comment I'd like to hear what you have to say even if we disagree. Also let me know what November 11th means to you.

And sorry its late Marines but Happy Birthday. (November 10th)
