I have not written in a long time, my bad. I don't have too much to say, got my old job back, basically my job description is being degraded in exchange for some false hope of respect that i will never obtain, but that is my feelings of what most life is like.

School's a bitch, and i have a terminal case of senioritis, i think about giving up and living in the wilderness survivorman style every day-the idea get's more tempting with each passing day.

Well that's all for now, i'll try to write another journal later on.

Also, i found an amazing new band, they're called flobots, it's like underground hip-hop mixed with an alt. rock sound, also they have a trumpet and viola. Not to mention they sing songs with a purpose other than to talk about how awesome their lives are. I would definitely check them out.

So recently i've been getting random picture comments and friend requests from people i've never seen before.

I'm not really complaining about this but there are two things odd about it:
      1. These people are coming en masse, that in itself is odd
      2. The people talking to me know none of the people i know, usually a random friend request comes because you know a guy who knows me

      huh...

      answers anyone?

    • what is the correct greeting for kwanza?

      Nicktheman

Seriously, i've been trying to find out for like a week.

But that's not the point. The point is i cleaned up for christmas! And here's why:

I got: Assassin's Creed (hehheh ass-ass, i'm a dumb kid inside), the orange box, then i traded my old copy of crackdown to my cuz and he bought me Halo 3! it was fun and i will have more to say at the ending of this journal.

Also, i got about enough OSU clothing to cover a mountain, apparently my family is WAY more excited i got accepted than i am. And i got I Am America (and So Can You!) it's is hilarious, as well as the complete works of Edgar Allan Poe and a mini encyclopedia all about mythology, all mythology ever, it is great. Then i got an iCarPlay, it plays my iPod on the radio which is great because my car doesn't have a cd player or cassete player, it doesn't even have a cassete player.

Then i finally worked up the courage to ask my dad if there was any way to get internet to my xbox. For some reason i thought by asking that i'd infuriate him but in the end it didn't bother him. All he said was i'd have to wait until it was warm outside, but the good news is i'm getting xbl again! this gives me endless joy.

So it was a good christmas, now on halo 3:

some things i would like to say, first Johnson is a better man than most real people i know, the arbiter is kickass, i was indescribably happy when i got cortana back, like found my long lost puppy happy, and i hate the flood. Also i want to know about the ending, i started a thread about it if anyone wants to help me out.

final thought: I. Fucking. Hate. The. Monitor. HATE. HIM.

    • The fun movie of the day is...

      Nicktheman

      A Big Bag of Crabs!

or would you rather have a pimpin blimp?

and apparently a cheese town, no video there, but it is apparently a utopia for cheese

    • This might be the greatest day ever...

      Nicktheman

So first of all i would like to say that thanksgiving was kickass and that i'm sorry that i haven't posted in a while, but now to my super awesome news:

First and foremost, my father isn't a christmas guy and always gives us our presents in november so if anyone else gives us the same thing he doesn't have to return them. So the other day he walks into my room and tells me he bought me a super sweet present but he's not allowed to give it to me until christmas. So the next morning he tells me to go get some rock salt out of the back of the truck, when i go instead of salt therein lies the Renegade ultimate gaming chair in all of it's glory and i was allowed to set it up and it is amazing.

Now for the biggie: I just received an acceptance letter to The Ohio State University meaning I am now an official buckeye! Words cannot express my joy at the moment. Feel free to congratulate me on whatever you see fit.

    • X-fest

      Nicktheman

Well i've been gone for awhile but c'est la vie, i've been busy.

I'm taking an advanced placement english course this year and it's just now beginning to get serious, oddly enough though i love it, i love taking tests in which all i do is write about the piece we've studied, i love having words i've never heard before shoved into my everyday vernacular and i really love being challenged. Here's what i don't love, whiny-ass kids. I'm talking about kids who took and AP class and start complaining when we have a 30 word vocab test, but ah well, they'll stop soon enough.

In bigger news i attended X-fest quite recetly and though my skin is baked, my hearing is damaged, i might have suffered a minor concussion, and i was nearly beaten to death it was a helluvalota fun.

Also pretty cool was i found a REALLY cheap copy of Bioshock at second time around after the concert while waiting for someone to pick me up, i think it might have been stolen first but i won't complain.

And last i will leave you a funny story: I wore my commie t-shirt which i look at purely as a joke seeing as the soviet union fell, but as i was walking down the street some random drunk chick leans out of a car window and screams, "nice communist shirt jackass!" and completely happy i just yelled thanks back to her. So she yelled "remember where you live" and i just asked her "how'd you get all those beads?" (because they were throwing mardi gras beads at the women at x-fest for doing certain things) and then she began to get out of the car so i got in my ride and left.

      the end!

have a good one you crazy kids.

So my laptop that i thought was totally out of commission was magically fixed today.

I left it at my grandma's when i moved out because i saw no reason to take a useless piece of plastic with me and it was sitting on my old desk. Well i brought my girlfriend over to meet my grandma and when she saw the laptop said "why is that sitting there?" and when i told her it was broken she opened it and pressed like two keys and the thing started up. Now i watched what she did and it wasn't any different then what i had tried before, not to mention the thing has been sitting out with no A/C power for a few months. So i'm convinced that she's some kind of magic at this point. I'm not complainin though, i just thought other people should hear of this incredible feat.

    • I love meds...

      Nicktheman

      Today's been good to me.

I had to have a mole removed cuz it looked suspicious, like cancer suspicious, so i went into the childrens medical center (i'm 17 and thus technically a child according to law). Well i thought i was just gonna be given novacaine or something seeing as it's an outpatient surgery but my luck was far better than that. To explain how awesome i feel i'm going to explain everything i remember, cuz it's not much.

First of all i did the normal hospital stuff, came in at 6:30 to do all the paper stuff, personal history, and get an IV. My dad was there to sign papers and my grandma was there cuz she's a nurse so she wanted me to stay with her until im all healed up. 8:30 rolls around which is when im scheduled for surgery, a nurse walks in pulls out a syringe, calls it something and gives me a "you're gonna like this" smile before injecting it in my IV. Less than a minute passes and i'm in a special place. Here begins the memory loss so i'll just tell you my bursts of memory exactly how i remember them following the injection.

I look at my dad and tell him not to let me do anything i regret and he laughs. Then im in the hospital bed rolling down a REALLY long hallway laughing at everyone for some reason. Then im in an operating room surrounded by people and the anaesthesiologist i met earlier, he checks to see the mask'll fit me then tells me to count backwards from 100, for some reason this request sounds stupid but i start doing it. I stop counting every few numbers looking at all the people like they're playing a joke on me because counting backwards seems like a very silly thing to do, i make it to 88. (A quick sidenote, i don't even remember the mask being put on me, i just got to 88 and everything blacks out.) I wake up in a huge room lined with identical beds to the one im growing quite fond of (and considering stealing) with a cute black-haired nurse next to me, she asks me something and i slur a forgotten response, then she asks me what i'm gonna do after high school and i say "imma be a heart doctor." Somehow im back in my room with my dad and grandma. Then im in a wheelchair. Then my dad's helping me out of the wheelchair into my grandma's car. Then i'm at my sister's house (i agreed to watch her cat while shes gone) playing with her cat, Sushi. Then i'm in bed at my grandmas house. Then to shorten my story i slept, woke up and called my girlfriend, then ate something and now i'm somehow ok so i decided to browse the interwebs.

Hospitals have some good stuff man.

    • I'm gonna be in so much pain...

      Nicktheman

So i had a really awesome day. I woke up early and went to my stepdad's house then from there him, his brother Chris (who just got back from Kuwait) and i drove up to the little miami river. John (my stepdad) went in a single man canoe and Chris and I both got our own kyaks. We met up with a whole bunch of our family and went down the river.

For six and a half hours i was kyaking. Three of those hours i was paddling at my top speed to try and make time, and another half hour i was paddling upstream because my sister ordered me to find the rest of the group that was lagging behind. Not to mention i'm pretty badly burnt. I'm gonna be in quite alot of pain tomorrow.

Then from there i left and met up with my girlfriend and two of our friends to see a rollergirl derby. Lots of girls skating around a track in miniskirts beatin the hell out of each other, just good fun.

Not to mention i was late for the derby cuz it took to long to get down the river. The moral of the story is if you go canoeing/kyaking don't make plans for the rest of the day, it's not a good idea.

    • Damnit he's right...

      Nicktheman

So i was sitting around watching tv with my dad and some special on video games came on and the featured game was gears of war. Well in my excitement to see a scale replica of the Lancer Assault Rifle i didn't change it. And when the part came up when it showed someone using the chainsaw bayonet on one of the enemies my dad goes "God no wonder kids are screwed up."

Obviously i just dismissed it as the banter of someone who doesn't play games so he wouldn't understand. Well i just picked up the Darkness for my 360 and i'm pretty pleased. However one of the features of the game is that in order to increase your power you have to devour the hearts of your enemies once you kill them. And that got me thinking, some games really could fuck a kids head up pretty bad. Of course this only applies to some people and age, maturity, and the kid itself really affect this but seriously, some of the games that i really like can be pretty messed up.

I guess this is the first time i've taken the esrb pretty seriously.

      just food for thought

Crazy? Try suicidal. I wish it were camping weather already though, I LOVE camping, and I really want to take the boyfriend to a place here in Washington's Olympic National Park called Staircase Falls... SO lovely.

Global warming is such a misleading name for what is really just general climate change. Which seems to include getting colder than usual at the worst possible times. >.<

    • Osaka

Ahh, yeah. I can see that. Well, 30 degrees is cold here. I don't think I could live somewhere colder than that. I am a pasty little lizard. :P

rofl, that's a good line. It is always rainy and gray here pretty much, except in the middle of the summer... but we have a beautiful autumn and, to be honest, I love the rain.

I have seen pictures like that. Then again when most people think of Olympia, they think of a ton of hippies and environmentalists and trees everywhere... which is odd because when people think an hour north to Seattle, they think of yuppies and Starbucks and the space needle.
But I see both all the time.

Hmm...the explosive darts seem to have propelled me in to a wall I was back in time for a few moments but then somehow I was transported back here with little memory of the time travel. Also have seen my arm? I suspect dinosaurs.

    • Apache64

Ah time travel the easy way. Drug induced. Good thinking! I think i'll try all three and weigh the results. First we'll go with explosives. You always should start with the most dangerous one, for what is success with out the danger?

    • Apache64

Oh by the way thanks for the Jim Gaffigan video link. That guy is really funny.

    • Apache64

Hmm maybe but explain the logic on that. How would it help me get to the past? You see the explosive tipped darts can blow me into the past useing Kenetic Energy while the pointy darts can stay in the chart better.

    • runningschu

yeah, i did. apparently they got about 50 letters from whiny little bitches who also can't operate a condom griping about how just because she's pregnant doesn't mean she's a whore.

my bud (a DJ) invited me back on to respond to them. i read a few of the letters like, "Condoms are against my religious beliefs, so I don't use them." and "I had my first child when i was 16, does that make me a whore?"

to which i responded, respectively. "The reason condoms are frowned upon by Christians is because they make PRE-MARITAL SEX OKAY. which is a sin. the reason they don't like condoms is because you shouldn't NEED condoms, in short, stop fucking." and "Yes. it does.... whore."

apparently they got about 200 letters after that one, and now i can't go on the school radio station anymore.

but it was so worth it.

    • Bunker_101

Yeah, I read a bit of that...

      meh...

    • Apache64

Well the pointy kind I would assume. Maybe explosive tipped.

    • Apache64

That could work. I would stand on a dart board and have it spun around while I held a chart with dates in time on it. People would throw darts and where ever they hit is where the dart board would send me.

no um using torrentz is p2p downloading, you download a torrent file of wat you want (www.torrentz.com, search for the file you want like movie or anime then it will tell you the site to get the torrent file eg mininova) then wen u have the torrent file download a bit torrent client eg bitlord, utorrent or azureus which in mi opinion is the best, then you just wait til the download is finish it will then seed but u can just stop that if you want (seeding is like sharing the file), downloading with torrentz isnt like download from start to finish, you just get bits that are most avalible then wen its finish downloading itll put the file together.
