      Losers
      All the lovely losers
Never thought you’d hear your name
      Outside
      Always on the outside
      Empty at the wishing well
      But time will tell

      Blessed Be
The ones who know that they are weak
      They shall see
The kingdom come to the broken ones
      Blessed be

      Thirsty
Like you’re drinking from a salt sea
But one day you’ll be satisfied
      Hungry
      For the taste of mercy
Aching just to have your fill
      One day you will

      Blessed Be
The ones who know that they are weak
      They shall see
The kingdom come to the broken ones
      Blessed be

Not for the strong, beautiful the brave
Not for the ones who think they’ve got it made
It’s for the poor, broken and meek
It’s for the ones who look like you and me

      Blessed Be
The ones who know that they are weak
      They shall see
The kingdom come to the broken ones
      Blessed be

      Blessed Be
The ones who know that they are weak
      They shall see
The kingdom come to the broken ones
      Blessed be

      Blessed Be
      Losers
      All the lovely losers

I went to a concert Friday night with my dad. We got to hear two new Christian singers and Shawn McDonald (probably my favorite singer period). It was so much fun. I really liked the second new singer we were introduced to, a man named Jason Gray. My dad and I even go to meet him and he was really sweet. Cool things about him: he has a stuttering difficulty and still sings, he's from Minneapolis, Minnesota! And look, someone posted a video of him singing the song from the concert we went to! It's really shaky, but still. Enjoy if you want to hear.

Yeah, he's probably around 6'5 whereas I'm 5'3, that's why he's bent down so far!

I need your guys' help! I can't decide if I want to join the circus or not.
FSU has a circus!- it's been around for 60 years and it looks like a lot of fun!
I'm just a little nervous about some of the different things involved and level of comfort that is required. (personal bubbles must disappear with basically every act and I live in my personal bubble)
      What do you think?
      Let me know!

In case you don't believe me!

    • No Words

      NightAngel

      There are no words.

      .

1 week in and I already feel overwhelmed.
Last semester I felt overwhelmed only a very few times. I didn't even feel overwhelmed when I had a 7 page paper to write.
Now, one week in, I feel like packing a few of my things, grabbing my keys, and driving away.
      Away away away.

      .

I'm sorry just doesn't cut it.
And that's a good thing, because I never say those words anymore.

      .

      Memories that define you.
Seeing my kids excitment at baseball when they touch home plate.
Seeing my little brother have a seizure.
Winning 1st place at an art competition.
Having raging sarcasm wars at dinner.

      .

Who ever thought falling in love could be so hard?
I'm simply trying to get by.
I want to give you all.
      Girl scout promise.
      But . . . well . . . you know . . .

      .

I thought I could lean on you.
I thought I could call and you would answer.
      Or at least call back.
So much for trusting I guess.
We all have our own problems, right?
We need to take care of ourselves before we can even think to start helping others.
      I forgive you.
Because you're all I've got left.
And you don't even know it, do you?
No, I don't think you do.
      That's okay.
      It's my fault, not yours.
      My fault.

It's been a long day. I am going to sit down later tonight and tell you all. To peak your interest to come back, here is a general overview: flying hats, emergency rooms, policy man, movies, and chinese.
In a short bit, I'll tell you guys what exactely happened today. All I ask for from you guys: love and hugs.

      The soon to be editing,
      Rita

      Editing time.
Today started nice and early with a 6:30 am alarm. I had breakfest, got dressed, and drove over to the University of Central Florida arena for my graduation. I parked in the parking lot and started walking down the street to the arena. My family passes by me going to park in the handicape parking lot b/c of my grandmother. I go in and sit through the 2 hours, 752 names, 4 speeches and 3 songs presentation. Dr. Starling, my ap.lit teacher who I greatly admire, was the teacher of the year and therefore the turner of the tassels. When I finally got to him, we hugged first and then he turned my tassel. I'm going to miss him. He is truely a great man. At the end, the hats came off and started flying. As the card my aunt and uncle gave me says, " Hooray! Yep, there's nothing like throwing hundreds of flat, sharp-cornered objects directly over your own heads to celebrate how smart you are. Way to use your head! Congratulations!" Anyways, I get outside and borrow Angela's cell to call my mom. My dad answers. Okay . . . this is weird. I ask him where he's at and he says the emergency room. What?! I kinda go into panic mode here and don't leave it for a good hour. I basically run back and forth b/w the arena and my car calling my mom the whole time trying desperately to reach her on my grandma's crappy cell phone to know what is going on. I finally get ahold of her. Turns out, my brother had had a seizure. A minor one, but still. Scared the hell out of me. I call Angela to try and calm down. Then I call Andrew. I cry. He sooths me as best as he can 1300 miles away. I try to pull out of my parking spot and go at too wide an angle still in panic mode and end up hitting the poor girls car parked next to me. (She's contacted me and we've talked for a few minutes. She's been very understanding and I greatly appreciate it.) I finally leave after half an hour of talking with Andrew calming down before trying to leave again. Get home, change, drive with mom to the emergency room. Wait to see my brother and go in to find him crying and wanting to go home. Calm him down (yes, I did. go me) and thankfully they discharge him. go to publix to pick up perscriptions to try and make sure he doesn't have another seizure (they don't know what caused it and don't know if he'll have another one). Bring him home. Give thank you gifts and recieve gifts from family. Half an hour later, the police call. I go in and turns out all the university police wanted to do was finish filling the report the girl had started. Leave and go to pick up dinner. We have chinese. My parents had wanted to suprise me with sunflowers and dinner at a fondue restaurante. We cancelled. While waiting, my dad and I go to pick up some movies for my brother while he's resting the next few days. We pick out three and they tell us we can get three from the center for free. Okay, sure. Pick out three for my brother and come back. Two aren't in. >.< Go pick out another two. They're in! Yay! Go next door, almost drop one of the bags holding the food, drive home, barely eat, and try to relax. My dad and I were joking that we were waiting for the meteor to strike our house, seeing as how everything comes in 3's. But my parents have been great in trying to still give me my day somewhat. I love them for that. I recieved two gift certificats, a dancing stitch (yes, dancing. he does the hula), sunflowers, a charm bracelet, some money (O.o), a movie, and lots of love. Well, happy graduation day to me. My brother has a seizure and I get into a car accident. Wow.
Not everything goes according to schedule though, so we make do with what we have.
Thank you for listening and have a wonderfull night my friends.

I'm feeling better. I'm still semi stressed, but better.
I hope you guys have been doing okay.
(Just so you guys know, even though I didn't comment, I did read every journal and look at every image. I promise)
I wrote a new poem too. I like it. It's called New again.

      kicked around,
      beat up,
      trying to keep
      your spirits up-
      broken.
      pieced together,
      left over tape,
      no longer whole,
      heart misshaped-
      worthless.
      tears flow,
      scars healed,
      words passed
      through lips sealed-
      forgivness.
      peace found,
      kindness unspoken,
      support given,
      in hugs as token-
      brother.
      located here,
      feeling lost,
      no longer welcome
      and soon to be tossed-
      home.
      eyes staring,
      wide and blue,
      my secret ally
      found in you-
      friend.
      wishes sent
      on shooting stars,
      dreams now lost,
      in galaxies afar-
      child.
      time to grow,
      be a man,
      we mock those
      with a life plan-
      world.
      hope cast,
      like a net,
      live your life
      with no regrets-
      fullfilled.

      *hugs* for everyone.
      Love,
      Rita

      Luke 2:1-20

And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city. Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child. So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.â€Â
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
“ Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!â€Â

So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.†And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. Now when they had seen Him, they made widely[d] known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.

Only doomed if we let it rule us. You can breakdown, rebuild, and move on...it just takes the right mindset.

While I have thoroughly enjoyed talking to you little sis, I must try to rest...I have work and my Dr's appointment tomorrow and have a feeling neither will be easy on me. Hope to talk to you again sometime soon. I also hope that things improve for you little sis. *hugs*

I'm sorry that I haven't been able to give you more hope. Life has been surprising rough as of late. Not as rough as some, but more so than I am used to. It's nice to talk to you even if it is in this form.

That's not good little sister. Life will do that to you unfortunately. Anything I can do to help?

there's a guy in my cultural anthropology class who looks exactly like you

I dare you to get him to let you take a picture of him in my "thumbs up" pose.

That would be so awesome, I'd send gifts.

Yeah, I watched that game. Clemson is really good. They were last year too. Florida State is just having some off years, they'll get back up there.

      Consider your questions answered.

I received them right as I checked my profile for the first time today. You had posted them 44 seconds before I clicked on the "You have 1 new journal comment link!"

      In reply to NightAngel, #19:

Sounds like a fun night overall!
I never really got into the youth program at my church. I wish I could have, but it always felt geared for the younger middle school/beginning high school kids.
Oh well. Glad it went over so well!

You could always get involved now! bigsmile.png

WOE IS ME!!!! I never have time to get on the site and find out what my friends are up to!!! Specially you cuz I know you were gone for a good while.

I'm alive, but rather zombie like. I worked all weekend and Michaels is starting their 50% off custom framing sale so today was INSANE! And the week ahead doesn't look any better... Oh wow. Um... I totally didn't mean to write you a book. tehe. As soon as finals are over I'll have time to catch up! Woo! Should only take me three days tops. smiley8.gif

The media is making matters worse too. I thank them for my now constant fear.

For you lil sis, it would not be a problem to wait 2 weeks or longer. Just focus on what's important and don't overwhelm yourself.
