Well... My summer is officially on the downward slump. Nothing is going on.
Michael's leaving for a week in Arizona, and I'll be bored out of my skull. But, he is leaving me his Xbox 360! And I have interwebz for it! Still... That's not much consolation. If any of you feel so inclined, you could add me as a friend on your Xbox 360. I'm Princess Norty. I only have a Gamerscore of about 80. Lol.
I'm so behind on the Bleach and Naruto anime... I'll have plenty of catch-up time for that, though. Maybe I'll make a fanfic again. Who knows.
The 4th of July was fun! How was yours?
(I can't wait for D&D to start up again! Oh the fun! Alex = Alexis.)

      Creeping through summer,

    • School's Out For The Summer!

      NortyBits

Well... I'm FINALLY out of school, for the summer... I am seriously dreading my senior year. I think it's gunna suck. Actually, my school gets out tomorrow, but I'm skipping and going bowling with my boyfriend, Michael! ^___^
Babies, babies, BABIES!!! My favorite cousin and her husband finally popped-out their little one. I am an aunt now (sorta)! His name is Alexander N. Whitman (initials are A&W on purpose). He was born on the 17th at about 3AM! That wasn't a fun time to receive a phone call, lemme tell you! The cousin I live with found out that she's having a little girl. Her and her husband are excited. I am, too, I guess. They freakin' want me to get a job. Actually, they are beating me until I get one. Because I don't want to lower myself to the level of fast food, I'm basically SCREWED.
As far as I can see, my summer looks to be a bleak one...
Today I managed an incredible feat. I stopped a friend from committing suicide. It was a scary time. I managed to do this through text messages alone. AND while I was trying to take my finals! I couldn't believe he was having such a hard time and would even consider such a thing! He even said he'd had a knife at one point. I panicked, needless to say. My rare nurturing side made an appearance.
Things are changing all around, and I can barely keep pace...

I'm not very creative when it comes to titles... *sigh*
I am currently doing battle with the Flu. Curse you! I must say, it's kicking my ass.

My gamer-geek sweetheart Michael has gotten me addicted to Viva Piñata and Final Fantasy X. (Two different consoles...) I only have access to Final Fantasy X, though. Grrr. Despite my being female, I do enjoy some video games and D&D. I know, strange concept.

EVERYONE around me is having babies!!! Eek!!! >.> <.< This includes my best friend of 6+ years. I can only be the "Navi" for so long until I am cursed-at and shoved aside.

PROM IS SATURDAY!!! I am EXCITED! It's going to be held at the Experience Music Project (EMP) in Seattle! I have a sleek, black dress for the occasion. No need to fret, pictures will be up as soon as I can get them up!

I still want to thank everyone, again, who took the time to read and leave such friendly comments on my Link/Malon fanfiction!!! *bows* To you guys, I am truly grateful! You know, bobmeister, (my boyfriend), is an amazing writer as well, with a completely original story of his own! You should ask him to post it! Thanks!

I met up with someone recently, whom I hadn't seen since I was probably 7 or 8 years old. That was a new experience!

Well... I am off to draw a picture for Michael to analyze in a Psychology class! I love Psychology! ^___^

    • The Final Chapter of "A Time on Lon Lon"

Sakura-Con was like nothing I could have ever imagined! Wowza! The amount of cosplayers was nuts! I got tons of pictures! Michael and I also started collecting some of the Zelda manga together. (We have 1 of 2 of the Ocarina of Time manga, and the only Majora's Mask manga.) They're amazing! We even got ourselves "chibi-fied" at the Con! Now Michael says we're off to PAX in August! That should be fun!
Well, as promised, here's the final chapter of A Time on Lon Lon:

Talon, Malon’s lazy and rather plump father, was kneeling in front of the bed upon which Malon lay. He was crying quietly into the blankets that were tucked around Malon’s shoulders. Never had Link seen Talon look like this. His jovial manner was no where to be seen.
As Link crossed quickly and quietly from the door, his heart ached to see Talon miserable and Malon mangled. Navi, the usually talkative Fairy, remained silent. The somber atmosphere had gotten to her. No screaming ReDead, skulking Stalfos, or power-hungry Ganondorf could ever make Link’s stomach turn like this.
Malon was just laying there, a false aura of serenity surrounding her unconscious figure. She had heavy bandaging around most of the right side of her face and head. Smudges of dark crimson were visible around her bandages and across her face, as though someone tried to clean her off. From the looks of it, she had most of her right arm wrapped and in a sling. Her breathing came in gentle heaves. Her beautiful, carrot hair sat gently upon her shoulders, like it always did. That much was only a tiny ray of sun on this dark scene.
Only when Link got close to the bed, did Talon notice his presence. He looked up with the saddest pair of eyes Link had ever seen.
“Hey, Link…†his voice trailed off. His eyes soon returned to his daughter.
Link nodded solemnly, to show he’d heard Talon. When Link got to the head of the bed, he slowly started taking off his cumbersome arsenal of slingshots, swords, shields, and whatever else he could lift off his heavy heart. He knelt and stared at Malon’s silent body. Both he and Talon kept a watchful eye on Malon. Every time she moved slightly, or even twitched, they held their breath.
The hours ticked away slowly, draining like thick grains of sand through a thin hourglass. Sometimes Talon would nod-off for a moment, but Link was wide awake and attentive. His eyes never strayed far from Malon. After a while, Link found himself lightly stroking the left side of Malon’s forehead or combing his fingers gingerly through her hair. At some point, Link’s eyes became too heavy to hold up, and he drifted off into a quasi-sleep.
      “Fi… Fier… o?†came a quiet and raspy voice.
Link was suddenly wide-eyed and awake. Talon was attempting to hug Malon, but her odd position made it an almost impossible task. Tears had filled Talon’s eyes as he hugged her and started gingerly patting her head. Malon’s eyes were soft as she stared up at her clearly haggard father.
      “D… dad?†Malon wheezed weakly, “Is Fie… ro okay?â€Â
That’s just like her! Link thought to himself, amazed, as he stared at Malon from the head of the bed. Malon was always the type who worried more of others than herself, even though she was clearly the one who was injured.
“Yes, Malon! Fiero’s fine! Please stop stressing so much!†Talon said, with unusual parent-like authority.
He was worried about her, and he wanted Malon to stop thinking of others long enough to get better, herself. Malon smiled a meek smile at her father’s concern. It was then that she noticed the slight movement of green just behind her head.
      “… Link?†Malon said quietly.
She smiled that soft, breath-taking smile, and Link was overcome with emotion. He brushed past Talon smoothly and sat down beside her. His hand went to cup the left side of her face, and Malon looked a tad taken aback. Link smiled a shy smile, and this made Malon’s heart do summersaults in her chest. The Hero of Time, shy?!
Talon witnessed all this and laughed a hardy, much-needed laugh.
“Ha! My Malon and the gallant Link! I told that boy he could marry her if he wanted! Ha HA!â€Â
Talon left the house, to calm poor Epona. Link and Malon continued to stare at one another for many moments to follow.
“Uh… Link, I… I-†Malon started. Link put a finger to her lips to stop her.
He smiled warmly, and Malon understood. Navi flew about confused, but not wanting to say anything to ruin the moment. She disappeared to leave the two alone.
Off in the distance, the sun was rising over the Mountains and casting its warm glow over the land of Hyrule once more.

    • March Madness/ A Time on Lon Lon pt. 2/3

Wowza! March is CRAZY! It's already the middle of the month! Lots has been going on, and WILL be going on. First off, St. Patrick's Day is Monday! I know my primary image is in the spirit, how about yours?
It's by boyfriend's birthday on Tuesday!!! (bobmeister) Please wish him a happy 18th birthday! He'd love to hear it!!! I love you, Michael!!!
SAKURA CON IS LESS THAN 2 WEEKS AWAY!!!!!!! HOLY CRAP! Colton, are you really cosplaying Pit?! That'd be flippin' SHWEET! (Pit is my favorite character to play as, in SSBB.) Michael and I finally managed to find a pail for my Malon costume, which is SURE to come in handy! I even bought a cute little plushing that looks just like Epona, to keep sticking out of my pail. ^___^
Well, as promised, here is part 2/3 of my mini fanfic, A Time on Lon Lon:

A fierce breeze rushed through the vast, green field of Hyrule. Link stood on the threshold between the Hyrule Field and the Kokiri Forest, having just exited the Kokiri Forest. His blonde locks and green tunic rustled with the passing breeze. A sense of dread blew through him. The lean, masculine Kokiri just stood frozen to the spot. His faithful Fairy, Navi, noticing his look of unease, stayed silent.
Link’s right hand traveled backward, slowly, to the hilt of his sword, while his silent, blue eyes scanned the Field for an answer to his unease. This kind of feeling usually never befell the strong, courageous Link. Only in those nightmares where Princess Zelda is being stolen away by a large, mysterious evil being on horseback, did Link ever get that horrible feeling of dread and unease.
Night was quickly setting in on the Hyrule Field. Link knew he had to get somewhere, and fast. He quickly withdrew his Fairy Ocarina and played the notes for Epona’s Song. This tune was taught to him by the young, bubbly Malon, to call on Epona whenever he needed her. Link stood patiently, awaiting the familiar sound of Epona’s galloping and neighing in the distance. He heard nothing. Link tried replaying the same tune, and still, Epona couldn’t be heard. This amplified Link’s worry. His gloved hands tightened into fists as the rest of his body stiffened and prepared for whatever was to come.
“Hey! Listen! Something must be wrong!†chimed Navi.
Navi’s small, glowing Fairy body darted frantically around Link’s head, wings flitting imperatively.
“It must be the Lon Lon Ranch! Maybe Epona’s hurt!†Navi cried frantically.
Oh no! Link thought. That clenched it. He broke into a run, trying his best to maintain a good grip on his sword, in case it was needed in the near future. All too soon was the sun setting behind the giant mountains in the distance. Link stopped abruptly and withdrew his Ocarina again. As quickly as he could manage, he played the tune for the Sun’s Song. He didn’t have time to deal with the frightening, skeleton-based creatures of the night that plagued the field of Hyrule.
Like magic, the sun slowly crept back up and into the sky. Light flooded Hyrule Field once more. A cucco could be heard, far off in the distance, inviting the morning back to Hyrule.
Link breathed a sigh of relief and started running north as fast as he could, in the direction of the Lon Lon Ranch. Navi flapped frantically behind Link, trying to keep up.
After what felt like an eternity, the familiar gates of the Lon Lon Ranch came into view. Link continued running until he was inside the gates of the Ranch. Panting, he looked this way and that, trying to find Epona. She was near the door to the main house of the Ranch. She just stayed there, not budging, even as Link’s loud boots thundered up the incline to the Ranch.
What? Link thought. Epona appeared perfectly healthy. Then why didn’t she come when the Ocarina was played? Only a little relief accompanied the knowledge that Epona was unharmed. Something else still wasn’t right.
Link crossed the path to the main house, to try to figure out Epona’s fascination with the house. When he stood in front of Epona, she only briefly acknowledged his presence. Her head was soon facing the door again. Link opened the door and eased himself inside. He had to fight off Epona from entering the house behind him. Something was troubling her too.
What Link saw inside made him feel even more cold and helpless than when he saw Princess Zelda being kidnapped on that dark, stormy night, all those years ago…

    • A Mini Malon/Link Series

      I'm REALLY bored.
OMGZ! Sakura Con is FAST approaching! Are you ready, Colton?! Michael?! ^___^
I is excited. [Colton: I think Michael or I can squeeze you into a suitcase of ours.]
So the Auburn Library used art of MINE to use in its advertising for its Anime/Manga Club, starting up in early April. I'm pleased. Look into it!!!
So anyways... Here's the product of my boredom:

Malon was floating about the Lon Lon Ranch early one summer morning. It was bright, crisp, and refreshing, the type of morning she loved most. Among the many things she loved, she especially loved horses. She tended to the growing collection of horses on her and her father, Talon's, ranch. Since her father was incredibly lazy, she usually got stuck tending to the Ranch and its many animal inhabitants. She didn't really mind though, because after a long days work, she was free to talk and sing to her beloved horses.
Of all the horses, she was especially attached to the one she gave to her secret love, Link. Her name was Epona. She was a beautiful, orange-brown Clydesdale with white leggings and a white mane. (It seems Epona was also rather attached to Link!) Whenever Link played that familiar tune on his Ocarina, Epona was soon faithfully at his side.
Although Malon could never figure out for sure, she thought, (hoped), Link had feelings for her. Why would he? she'd think. She's just a farm-girl, wearing the same white shirt, long, lavender skirt, brown apron and boots, and yellow sash she always wore. I'm nothing special... she'd think, gloomily.
Malon always compared herself to the beautiful and majestic Zelda, for whom Link struggles to save. She always wore a lavish dress and had gorgeous blonde hair. Malon's hair was carrot, and mid-way down her back. It sat gently on her shoulders.
No! Stop these thoughts! I've got work to do! And that she did. Today she was going to try riding Fiero, the newest horse to the Lon Lon Ranch family. She coined the name from his fiery attitude. Link initially took the horse from a cruel man, just outside of the Gerudo Fortress, who wasn't taking proper care of Fiero. He managed to rangle him to the Lon Lon Ranch, where Malon was instantly at Fiero's side.
She breezed through the daily chores, excited by the prospect of getting to know Fiero better. Finally, she made her way to the center of the Lon Lon Ranch, where all the horses stayed in the large, circular corral. With a saddle under one arm and a pail with carrots and apples in the other, she made her way to each horse, to give them their favorite treat.
She got to Fiero last, who was to the far left of the corral.
"Hello, Fiero," she said sweetly to the timid horse.
His black eyes searched her, then his nose picked up on the goodies that waited inside the pail. Cautiously, the sleek, all-black stallion approached her. Malon knew she had to let him come to her.
She slowly, and carefully, set down the saddle and pail. She took two carrots from the pail, knowing they were Fiero's treat of choice. Malon held out one carrot to Fiero. Carefully, he sniffed the carrot, looked up at Malon, then moved forward enough to bite down on the carrot. Malon didn't budge. Fiero, feeling comforted by Malon's perpetually loving aura wafting off her, continued to eat the carrot. Soon, both carrots were gone and Fiero looked at Malon expectantly. She giggled at this and gently stroked his narrow head, from a little above his nose, all the way to in-between his ears. His eyes drifted shut for a moment. He'd never known love, in his short life. Malon guessed that he wasn't more than a year and a half old.
After continuing to pamper the horse, she slowly walked to his side, then gently set the saddle on his back. Fiero wasn't bothered. Great! Malon thought. She finished adjusting the saddle and securing it. Fiero remained unbothered the whole time.
This is it! Malon thought. She bunched up her long skirt and tied it to her side. She wore a set of riding pants under her skirt when she knew she was going riding. She grabbed another carrot from the pail. This sparked Fiero's attention, but he stayed exactly where he was. Then she carefully mounted Fiero. He didn't budge.
"Great job, Fiero!" exclaimed Malon cheerfully. "Here you go, sweetie," she said, slowly moving the carrot to the side of his mouth. He knew what was coming and bit down on the treat and started chewing away.
"You're such a good boy," Malon cooed softly to Fiero.
He was too into his carrot. She giggled to herself.
After he'd finished his carrot, Malon took a deep breath, then nudged Fiero's right side with her foot. He moved forward!
Yes! she thought! He was ridden before!
He slowly trotted around the corral, going the directions Malon indicacted with her gentle tug on the mane. She sped up the pace a tad, so they were going at a good pace around the corral.
After a while, Malon wanted a little more speed, then a little more. Soon they were sprinting around the corral, the other horses, accustomed to this, stayed to the sides. (They knew treats were in-store, if they behaved.)
The wind whipped through Malon's already tussled hair. The sun beamed down from the top of the vast, brilliant sky. This is amazing! Malon thought, as they continued briskly around and around.
Something shot across the sun! A huge owl? Fiero saw this and panicked. He haulted alomst instantly, cried out in a panic, then bucked this way and that. This all happed in a matter of seconds, leaving Malon no time to prepare or to calm Fiero. After a particularly fierce buck, she was launched sideways like a ragdoll. She hit the dirt with a loud thud!
      Her world went black...

Ooops... Yeah, I'm WAY too bored.
SO anyways! I know I'm lazy about making new journals, but my life is just too mundane to type about. Hm...

Oh! Lately, my drawing skills have shown IMMENSE progress! Even I'm happy with what I'm seeing! My latest endevor is to draw Michael's D&D character that he plays in our two-people campaign. His name is Maron and he's beffy and spiky. HAWT! I believe he's a "Jack of all trades" Class... The name of his Race escapes me, at the moment... Crap! I know they are beefy, have spikes along their arms, legs, and spine, are too into themselves and perfection, and hate the Rilken Race. (Which is what my character is! Her name is Hana.)

Michael got me into Final Fantasy 10! I love it's battle system! I have never played any real Final Fantasy, because like most games, they're WAY out of my comfort zone. (I have played Crystal Chronicals, if that counts!) But, this one is very interesting and fun! The horrible dubbing makes me laugh, but the voice actors are great! Thanks, sweetie!

Um... Not much else. It's looking like it's going to be a low-key Valentine's Day this year. I'm broke, Michael probably has work, and we're broke.

I GOTZ A CELL PHONE! My first EVER! It's pink! I love it! I need to buy cute charms for it, but again, I am pretty much broke.

I need to go though, because my cousin needs the computer! I hope to hear from everyone soon!

    • Catz For Christmas

      NortyBits

My Christmas went as well as to be expected... My boyfriend worked half the damn day. I got some nice gifts.
I am dreading this upcoming year...
So I got this crappy game for the DS called Catz. It's basically NintenDogs, but crappier and with cats. No joke. I'm not sure what made my cousins I live with to buy this for me... But, it's the second game I own for the DS, along side Pokémon Diamond. I couldn't complain... It even has it's own, REALLY GAY, theme song. Here's the lyrics:
      Meow Meow Lullaby
      Meow [13x]
      Meow [13x]

      I am just a kitten
      Hardly fit my mittens
      Much too small, I figure,
      One day I'll be bigger
One day I'll be a great big kitty cat
Use open windows to go from flat to flat.
      Meow [13x]
      Meow [13x]
      I am just a kitten
      Hardly fit my mittens
      Much too small, I figure,
      One day I'll be bigger
One day I'll be all grown up and strong
But till then I'll just purr and sing along.
      REPEAT

My New Years Resolution is to help Michael get his room CLEAN. It's sooo cluttered and disorganized, and it bugs both him and I. My only worry is that it will only stay CLEAN for a DAY, until he starts getting too damned lazy to throw away his garbage, put away his dishes, hang up his sweatshirts and coats, put away his ALREADY FOLDED laundry, ETC... This is a hopeless mission... I have no personal resolutions, other than to get a job. *sigh*
      I hate 2008.

YUKI!!! SNOW!!! It's finally snowed here in Auburn! (It's a big deal to me!)

I am going to see the Trans-Sibereian Orchestra later today, so I am waiting around for my lazy Michael to contact me with details. *sigh*

I deal with the cold a lot better than my dearest Michael does. He's too skinny and was born in Arizona, that blistering hell.

He and I set up my mini-Christmas tree last weekend, and it's adorable! It's got lights and a cute ornament with his face on it! Any of the spare mini-baubles that I do not use, I make into festive holiday earrings. I cannot wait for later this month! It means baking TONS of delicious Christmas cookies with my friends, cousins, and aunt.

I am currently playing Paper Mario and the Thousand-Year Door. I love Paper Mario. I was raised on it, Mario Kart, Spyro, and Pokémon! I'm not quite a geek's fantasy yet... *laugh*

I took a "How Much Are You Worth A Night?" quiz in my friend poppacap 's journal. It's really funny. I am worth $2395.

      Happy holidays,

    • The Difference Between They and I

      NortyBits

      They and I

      They...
Stole your heart and threw it out on display.
Took that akward first kiss, of which I craved, away...
      They...
Seduced you with their sweet, devilish scent,
The kind with which you seem quite content.
      They...
Strung you up tight in their string of lies.
The pain of all that is carved deep within your angelic eyes.
      But I...
I drifted by one fateful day and lifted your heart from that pedestal of pain.
My shy, meek prescence brought unto your barren heart, a caring and gentle rain.
We shared with one another a piece we can give to no other.
Though it's not I that this seems to bother...
Just know that I will wait forever and a day for you to realize that with your heart, I will never play anything but the soft strum of love's eternal melody.

I can't believe I even wrote this! I was amazed! XD So how's life for everybody?

the image actually looks like crap IMO. the full sized poster i have is MUCH better. most of what makes it so awesome is the details, which are lost when its shrunken down like that. (size is 35 x 23 in) like the way the mist rolls of the dragons horns and the rest of the body, or the wings that are a bit worn away. or even the out of focus soldier in the foreground. on the poster it just all looks so awesome. because of that that pic is crap in comparison

OMG i want pictures. that'll be so cute!! are you gonna dye your hair and stuff?

-shrug- i'm okay--i mean, i'm in one of the two highest classes, so i'm a bit better than okay, but the point is to blend well together and to sing in harmony with others. and for some reason, our choir kids are like Mormons--they're always really happy and we get along well. well all possess some talent and we express it with each other and bring it out in our comrades. so we sing well. we sing REALLY well. almost every one of our concerts, we get the audience in tears. (granted, it's mostly our parents and friends, but when the classes went to NY this year, they sang at ground zero. try not to cry at THAT.)

and a lot of it has to do with our teacher. she's such a sweetheart--ALL of her students, at some point during the year, call her Mama, Mom, Mama Rutherford, or something to that effect. she's young and so much like the students, it's hard to think of her as anything less than the coolest teacher on campus.

......lookit that, i totally rambled about my choir. XD sorry.

why is it that you are interested in things that you are and in the way you are? generally not a very easy question to answer. yet the reasoning behind it is accurate if i stop and think about it.

fore example here is just a short bit from it

      Dominant Function: Introverted Thinking

Now looking specifically at first the Ti, the principle of detachment even encompasses how an INTP views himself. He may analyse his own thought processes as if his mind and body were separate from his conscious self. In wanting to understand his reactions to things, he may treat himself, even his own thoughts, as subjects for experiment. At the extreme end of the scale, where Ti is very dominant, the ultimate goal of understanding the world with total clarity must be achieved through total detachment from everything. Fortunately, Ti never dominates over the other 3 preferences to such an extent that such an unhealthy state is reached.

Where detachment ceases is when someone makes an illogical statement or violates one of the INTPs principles. At such a point, the INTP feels the instant drive to provide for clarity. This is his Mission; to be the provider of clarity, and is often suspicious that he is the only person capable of this task. Here, the INTP risks being seen as over-critical, aloof and arrogant. On the whole, however, real arrogance is rare for INTPs for their desire is not to dominate others but simply to observe, analyse and clarify. Once the point has been clarified, the INTP withdraws quickly, for he prefers not to be in the limelight unless absolutely necessary. Hence, for most of the time, INTPs are easy-going and will fit in to others' needs, taking up the role of observer again.

no you dont understand me much at all. infact part of the reason i posted it was because perhaps you could understand better. after reading it i found out why i do the things i do. normally i just do them cuz its what i feel like doing, but reading that gives clear reason as to why i do those things and thinking about it it makes a lot of sense.

including things like the way i responded to your story.

you should see what you are www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp

look up the word pity then read the last part of your comment and tell me thats not what that is.

as for the rest of that comment. you make it quite obvious we live it 2 very different worlds. you still live in the false protected "kid" one. you still believe in goodness and that crap that parents and the media (Movies, TV shows/Anime etc) get you to think to "protect" you from the harsh truth...that when it comes down to it everyone is in it for themselves, friendship is temporary, and love fades.
