    • Missed You Guys! ^_^

      OOP

Hey guys! I've missed all of you a great deal on here. I've actually had my internet back for several months now and experienced a crashed harddrive around July or August last year, but everything's rolling along now. I'm truly sorry I haven't been around to say hi. Truth be told, I don't have much time for this site anymore. Ever since I was talked into hopping on to Facebook, I've been hanging on there every time I get on-line. I can't help it, it's addictive! LoL If any of you are on there, look me up! Or e-mail me or something. XD

Anywho, I haven't been doing much except for drawing, of course. I don't have time to post any art right now but I'll try to sometime soon. >_< Everything's on my deviantART.com gallery, though, as well as on my Facebook profile.

So, talk to me, guys! Who saw the TFs movie? I loved it! Can't wait for the sequel. Who saw the new TFs animated series? I'm iffy on this series, and still trying to get to used David Kaye as Optimus instead of Garry. I don't really care for the animation but at least the writing is decent. Opinions and comments about these my TF friends! ^_^

I went to BotCon last year. Totally schweet. I finally got to meet Peter Cullen (G1 / 2007 movie Optimus Prime), who's a great guy. Yes, I gave him an artwork. I met David Kaye (BW Megs) for the second time and gave him a drawing as well. And I finally met a bunch of TFs friends of mine from a message board. I don't have time for details on the convention but it was great. I don't think I'll be attending BotCon this year even though it's right next door in Ohio (but it's in April! Why in April?!) because I might be attending my first Stargate convention in August and that's going to be very pricy. I just sent in my application for a passport. Why does a passport cost over $100?! Richard Dean Anderson will be making his first appearance at this one, which is one reason why I want to go, but I have a few friends nearby the convention who I'll hopefully get to visit. *crosses fingers*

Well, I guess that's it for now. I'll try to come around here a little more often. I'm afraid I won't really be able to keep up with everyone's journals or images, and I apologize for that.

Some of you may have noticed that I haven't been on here much at all. Well, for two weeks I was out of Internet service. It simply died on me. I hadn't had a problem with it for two years or so and it suddenly died. Since the people at that provider don't give a crap about their customers, they screwed us over more than once, so we cancelled their service. Now we're with Verizon, but apparently they don't have DSL available for our NEW development. So, now we're stuck with 26-28.8 Kbps dial-up, which is better than nothing, but I won't be able to catch up on this site for quite a while. Now that there also seems to be something wrong with our computer, my brother will have it this weekend and see if he can fix it. Wonderful. I hope it's nothing serious. So, don't expect any drawings or journals from me for a little while. Again. The dial-up is sloooow that I won't have the patience to load this site, along with many others. smiley4.gifsmiley2.gif

I hope everyone else is doing well. Man, I have so much to catch up on. I'm not really looking forward to it right now. -.-

    • What's Been Goin' On

Heh, I guess it's been a while since last I made a journal on here. My bad. To be honest, though, there wasn't much to talk about anyway.

I saw Ghost Rider a couple weeks ago when it came out. That was all right. There wasn't really much to the story but I've never read the comics or anything either. I like Nicholas Cage, though, so I thought it neat to see him as a "super hero." I think the fire was the coolest part of the entire film. LoL They did an excellent job on those special effects and graphics. The horse was the neatest. smiley8.gif

A week later I went to see Reno 911!: Miami. Hilarious! It was just like watching the show, which I love, but on the big screen with great sound. smiley8.gif Of course the movie was much, much dirtier than the show, but it was comical nonetheless. They're so stupid. XD

This weekend I'm hoping to see Wild Hogs since no one could go last weekend. I still want to see Pan's Labyrinth (sp?) because I heard that was really good. As well as Number 23 and 300. So many movies and so little time! smiley4.gif

I had just bought a movie from Amazon.com called Bang Bang You're Dead. I hadn't heard of it before until it was brought to my attention that Garry was in it (as a cop, of course). I just watched it and I must say that it's a really good movie. For anyone who was ever picked on in school and bullied around, I think you'll share much of the same emotion and outlook on life as what is shown in this film. Though I was never teased that much, the movie showed me just how far some kids will go when they're constantly picked on, day after day; not just by students, but by their parents as well. It goes in depth with depression and explains why would-be good kids have their lives ruined by the ones who push them around and talk down to everyday and then are turned into the worst of students. I thought it was very powerful and is probably one of my favorite movies now. It focuses on a kid, Trevor Adams, who was bullied around by the football team so much that it spun his life around and he threatened to blow up the entire team with a bomb. A bomb he made but was purposely not capable of detonating. After that, he wasn't pushed around as much but was still receiving verbal harrassment from students. The drama teacher casts him as the main character in a play called Bang Bang You're Dead, despite the kid's reputation of being a "terrorist" when the character he plays is haunted by his conscience of the students he shot and killed. Parents and members of the school are in an uproar about the play because Trevor was casted in it and want it cancelled. Meanwhile, another small group in the high school known as the "Trogs", who are constantly bullied, have had enough and make an attempt on a school shooting. Trevor, new to the group, finds it in himself to stop them just in time after overcoming his own extreme depression, nearly hanging himself at home in his room located in the basement. This movie certainly puts a whole different perspective on schools and what kids really go through. Issues that every teacher and every principal should pay very close attention to. I highly recommend this movie.

On another note, the last ten episodes of SG-1 will be airing in April. Noooooooooooo! Not the last! smiley4.gif Makes me sad. smiley2.gif But I guess it's had a good run. smiley8.gif I finally found a replica of their off-world olive-colored jacket on "schmeBay," so I had to resew on my patches. It's schweet! XD

With convention news, the BotCon has sold out on two hotels. They have a contract with a third one now though it isn't located right next to the one where the con's being held. Unfortunately. And with the MechaCon, Micheal Dobson (voice o of Starscream from Armada and Cybertron, and also on DBZ, Gundam Wing, Escaflowne and Inuyasha) and Kevin McKeever (from Harmony Gold, who attended last year as well) will be making appearances at this year's v3.0.

As for the Stargate convention beind held in Vancouver, Canada, on March 23-25, there are now tons of guests signed up. I'm so mad that I can't make it! smiley4.gif Here's the list:
Micheal Shanks (Daniel Jackson), Teryl Rothery (Dr. Frasier), Torri Higginson (Dr. Elizabeth Weir), Don S. Davis (General Hammond), Garry Chalk (Colonel Chekov), Carmen Argenziano (Jacob Carter/Selmak), Rachel Luttrell (Teyla Emmagan), Cliff Simon (Ba'al), Steve Bacic (Major Coburn & Camulus), David DeLuise (Pete Shanahan), Dan Shea (Sgt. Siler & Richard Dean Anderson's stunt double), Andee Frizzell (Wraith Hive Queen), John Smith (Executive Producer), David Hewlett (Star & Executive Producer), Bruce Woloshyn (Digital Effects Supervisor), Rob Cooper (Executive Producer), Sabine C. Bauer (Author of two novels for Fandemonium their first SG-1-publication, Trial By Fire, and Survival of the Fittest, and has edited several others), and Thor (Asgardian Supreme Commander, joined by animatronic controller Morris Chapdelaine). I don't know about you, but that is a freakin' awesome guest list. XD

*catches breath* And now I shall continue on more Transformers fanart. smiley8.gif

EDIT: Finally saw Wild Hogs today, and it was hilarious! I thought the four actors were such a strange cast but they were so comical together! I loved it. But I love Tim Allen's comedy, and I like William H. Macy, Martin Lawrence and John Travolta. So I was already looking into the movie with a good spirits. smiley8.gif

    • Quick Convention Update

      OOP

Another guest has been added to the MechaCon guest list! It's another one who was there last year. Can you guess who?

That's right! The wonderful, very funny and very sweet Scott McNeil! Yay! I think that rocks hard. I'm very tempted to go again. XD Now, if they would just happen to add Alec and Garry to that list again, I'd so be there. smiley8.gif Chances are, though, like last year, Scott might attend both the MechaCon and the BotCon (if he's invited), so I need to choose wisely, me thinks. I just have to keep a close eye on these conventions. smiley0.gif Alec was there last year and the year before, so I'm hoping chances are that he'll be invited again. *shrugs*

      That's all for now.

I'm still wishing for lots of snow!!! smiley1.gif It's almost February and I still haven't seen much here in PA. smiley2.gif

    • Convention Update

      OOP

MechaCon v3.0 is now opened for pre-registration! Whoo! Also, singer/song-writer Lisa Furukawa is returning as one of this year's guests! Lisa is such a sweet heart, and so pleasant to speak with. I'd love to see her again. ^.^ Forty-seven out of fitty (fifty) Gold Passes remain (first come, first serve basis) as well as fitty dinner seats. I need to hear about more guests (specifically from BW, I hope) before I can be closer to certain on going again. XD

In other news, we finally had a coating of snow this morning! About slagging time, too. That 70ºF weather we had that Saturday about two weeks ago was killing me. It's not supposed to be that warm in Pennsylvania in January!!! smiley4.gif I had my car's top down, for crying out loud! Evil warm weather. I'm in dier need of a lot of snow right now.

Because of the frozen precipitation early this morning, I was late to work about 13 minutes, as many of my co-workers were, because of the slow traffic and icy roads. It was my first time driving my car under such conditions and I must say that it handled well and I love front wheel drive. XD LoL It was a little scary, though, hearing about all the accidents in the area, and watching people in front me skid around on the road. I wish people knew how to drive. smiley5.gif Anyway, I made it to work safely. smiley0.gif And then ended up working overtime until 4:15pm. I was beat!

I want snow. A lot of snow. Several inches, at least, if not a foot or two. *sniffle* I don't think I'm asking for much. smiley6.gif

Jazz-ee's doing well! She's still picking on the cats, but they just try to ignore her. I went with her and my mom to her second obedience class and all the puppies there were so cute, especially the tiny Pug. And they all do really well, too. Well, as well as they can when they're just learning things for the first time. Jazz-ee's still peeing in the house, though. Sometimes she warns us ahead of time, and other times she just squats and pees without any warning. I'm not quite sure why she hasn't learned yet over these past few weeks but since that's the only thing she does wrong, I'm not that upset about it. She's a good girl. And I know she's just a silly puppy. smiley1.gif

...Cats are still way cooler. smiley8.gif

I happened to be watching Jake 2.0 after SG-1 tonight, and noticed a familiar name in the guest credits; Jim Byrnes (the voice of Inferno from BW). I thought I'd take a gander at the show since my brother (BattleMaster) told me it was pretty good. It's not bad, so I'll try to keep up with it. But why he didn't tell me Jim was in it is beyond me. smiley8.gif Apparently, he's also in an SG-1 episode, along with Blu Mankuma (Tigatron) and Colin Murdock (Quickstrike). I have yet to see those episodes, though. Also, I saw one called Frozen last Friday night at midnight which had Venus Terzo (Blackarachnia) in it. That was spiffy. ^.^ And Jack making a comment about the Simpsons was cool too. smiley8.gif I love this show. smiley0.gif

No, not ice cream. :-P Mmmm... Death by Chocolate ice cream... *drools*

Breaking News: I was just informed that one of my beloved high school social studies teacher was found dead in his car and it was self inflicted. I feel sad and awful. He's been battling a losing war in court by accusations of students and former students (probably jack@$$es trying to get something out of it) saying that they found nude photos of a teenage boy in his house and that he had asked these students to pose for him. Now I'll never know if it was true or not, though I have doubts that it was. Mr. Keith Lord Snyder was always kind to me and my siblings, especially my brother. He showed us respect and was a VERY funny man. He actually made history fun. But ever since our high school was taken over by a new vice principal (she was well known as Beavis because she looked like him from Beavis and Butthead), who was quite a strict person and not very people friendly to certain teachers especially Snyder, an uproar about this happened (after I had graduated) and sh*t started hitting the fan for Snyder. I have a feeling that there was foul play involved on the whole catastrophe and that this poor man really didn't need it what was happening to him. I never felt uncomfortable around Snyder and he always made me laugh. No doubt that if my facts are correct that he opted for suicide, these trials lead him to think that he had no hope or he just couldn't take the accusations anymore. I can't even imagine what's been going on these past couple of years for him. My brother (BattleMaster, who will no doubt post a journal about this) has been in communication with Snyder more than I have, so he will likely have much more accurate details. This really does sadden me, though. I will miss the Snyder Man. <:-(

On a much lighter note, my mom had bought a puppy on Christmas Eve. She's a pure bred Airedale Terrior and was nine weeks old when we got her. She is now over a 11 weeks and growing very fond of us. Now, I'm not much of a dog person as I am a cat lover, puppies just aren't nearly as cute or graceful, but they are pretty funny because of their clumsiness. Her name is Jazz-ee (the breeder had it short for Jasmine [yes, Princess Jasmine from Aladdin]) but my mom decided to call her just Jazz-ee with a funky spelling for the AKC when she registers her. Right now she's at her first obedience class. XD oor Jazz-ee. But she's VERY intelligent. In fact, I think she's too intelligent because she's a real smart @$$. She does try to play with our cats but we always have her tied up so she doesn't chew on everything... or hurt herself running up and down the stairs. We also can't trust her completely yet because she hasn't entirely gotten the idea of potty training yet. Kittens learn things sooo much faster. At any rate, I have plenty of love for her and attention and patience. She's adorable and I think she'll be a great dog. Seeing as we haven't had much luck with dogs in this family, I hope Jazz-ee will be the turning point. I've never had a puppy before so this is a new experience for me as it is hers. But I've grown up with plenty of kittens. ;-) At any rate, here are some pictures for you all to enjoy. When she gets older, she will lose a lot of her black color and probably be about 2 feet to 2.5 feet tall. A nice medium-sized dog, me thinks. ^.^

      DSC00404.jpg

      DSC00412.jpg

As far as conventions go, I haven't heard any news lately. I hope they add some soon because the summer will be here before we know it. XD

Also, I settled on submitting my fanart of "Raw Energon," so we'll see if they decide to publish it in the next Master Collector issue. Splee! :-D

Last but not least, here's a music video some of you SG-1 and Garry (Chekov) fans may appreciate. A fellow friend of mine found it on YouTube. I think the music fits quite well. ;-) Have I mentioned that Garry's Russian accent rocks hard? ;-) And it was awesome to hear him speak real Russian in a couple episodes. He's very passionate about learning those things. He was also thrilled to learn that he'd have control of his own ship since they kept telling him that his character wouldn't be jumping through Stargate like he wanted to. XD It's in an interview I read. :-P Anyway, enjoy!

So, I mentioned about two weeks ago, I think, that I wanted you guys to vote and help me pick the next TransFan Art to send in to be published in the Master Collector magazine thingy-ma-bob. I can't believe none of my friends on the Tfs boards I go to said anything about noticing the last one. I posted that painting everywhere! <:-( Makes me sad.

Anyway, here it goes. Sorry they're all links but they look better on dA than they do if I spend a lot of time uploading them to Photobucket. >.<

    • About That Time Again

      OOP

So, it's about that time again that I get some of you updated on what's been up. Not much really. Aside from my Thanksgiving vacation, which was nice but still seemed too short, paintball was a blast at Skirmish and I actually didn't ruin my StarGate costume. LoL Yay! But those boots were KILLING my ankles. >.<

Today, my brother helped install these new clear tail lights I bought for my car a couple weeks ago. They look sooo much better than those huge red ones, especially since my car is silver. I also installed clear front turn signals. It's looks schweet! Now, all I need are those cool spider web graphics painted on that I've been thinking about ever since I bought the car. LoL I'll need to save money for that though. I'm still not sure if I want them in black paint to really stand out, or as ghost paint to keep them subtle and only flashy in the sunlight like a spider web. o.O

Been buying most of my Christmas gifts on-line. I'm almost done because I hate doing last minute shopping, especially if I have to go and do it where there are so many inconsiderate, oblivious and pushy people. :-P I've also been slowly buying new Christmas lights and decorations. I've had our tree up since the weekend after Thanksgiving and gave it tinsle because tinsle is awesome. XD

If anyone here gets the Master Collector circulum magazine thingy, you may notice that the newest issue has a very familiar piece of fanart in it. XD That's right, I e-mailed my painting of Transmetal Megatron called "A Bad Influence" to them and they put it in! I was so happy to see it! My brother called me and told me about it when he got his mail before me and it's awesome. I was so happy. Beast Wars rocks hard! I love seeing that fanart in there. It's all really good! I'm thinking I'll send in another, this time one of my pencil drawings or something, although they don't look that great when they're scanned but I'm not going to send in the originals that I have because they don't give them back. >.<

Guess that's about it for now. Must go eat dinner and then head over to BattleMaster's place to hang out, see the cats again and play video games. Woo! :-)

Last night I headed down to the Wachovia Center in "Filthadelphia" to see Cirque Du Soleil: Delirium. Absolutely awesome again. Some of you know I had just seen their live show Quidam in early August which was my first, and I loved it so much that I wanted to see what Delirium was all about. I can't say which is best because both were fantastic and definitely worth the money. I loved every bit of it. In fact, they were just on CSI: a couple weeks ago, so that was a cool episode. ;-) Some people say, "Well, you can watch Cirque on TV you know." Well, not if you don't get the channel and don't know when it'll be on. Besides, the shows are twenty times better in person. :-P I highly recommend seeing them!

On a much different note, MechaCon has announced their first wave of guests for 2007. Unfortunately, they aren't anyone I'm really familiar with. But I'm patient. ^.^ I'll list a few of their roles next to their names because I know some of you will recognize a few.

Mike McFarland - Voiced Master Roshi (DRAGON BALL & DRAGON BALL Z), Baby and Baby-Vegeta (DRAGON BALL GT), Jean Havoc (FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST).

Tiffany Grant - Voiced Yu (COMIC PARTY REVOLUTION), Satella (CHRONO CRUSADE), Kome (BLUE SEED).

Matt Greenfield - Co-founder of ADV films and husband to Tiffany Grant. Voiced Hyuga (NEON GENESIS EVANGELION), Sugishita (BLUE SEED).

Pretty much all the news I have for now. Yehaw. Getting together Christmas decorations now and will start putting them up probably Thanksgiving since I won't have anything else to do. I won't be having Thanksgiving dinner until Saturday which is a bummer because by Saturday it doesn't feel like Thanksgiving anymore. With everyone having boyfriends or girlfriends, we can never celebrate on the actual holiday days anymore because their families do. *sniffle* Friday I will not be shopping. Forget it! LoL Instead, if the weather holds up, I'll be taking off to Skirmish for paintball with some friends. Splee! But what will start off this holiday weekend for me will be seeing Deck the Halls on Wednesday night at the theater. I can't wait!

I finally took some pictures with my camera today. A little late, I know. :-P

Anywho, since I've recently become a StarGate SG-1 fan all over again this summer, I thought I'd dress up as an SG-1 officer with their off-world suit. I bought the boots, field jacket and pants from a navy store. I had ordered an elite vest similar to the ones they wear on the show but it still hasn't arrived. >.< So I went on without that. I bought the green denim cap and the StarGate patches from eBay. And to finish it off, I wore an ordinary black long-sleeve shirt underneath the jacket. Tada! I did spend quite a bit of money for just a costume, but I wanted it to look good. :-P I wasn't trying to be anyone in particular from the show but everyone kept saying I resembled Carter no matter how crazy my hair looked; it's so uncooperative. Works for me. XD

My results from the G1 Tfs Personality Quiz. Well, copying the result didn't work and I don't have time to figure out the coding so I just copied the text. As Primal would say in the Beast Wars Transmetals video game: "Predictable." XD

You are Optimus Prime! You are a natural born leader, brave and selfless and you will fight to the bitter end for peace and freedom. You have extensive knowledge in just about everything from art to the art of war. You would be a better leader if you were more ruthless, but then you just wouldn't be Optimus Prime. Roll out with your bad self!

You are Grimlock. Arrogant and fearsome, you would take over Optimus Prime's job in a second. Sometimes it's kind of hard to tell which side you're on in the first place. You are extremely deadly and are always quite easy to resort to violence. Matter of fact you haven't really ever resorted to anything else. You will go down in history as the guy who said,"Me, Grimlock, kick butt!" Rock on with your slowyet powerful self!

      Awe, Grimmy. He rocks. XD

Yeah sorry about that Candi!! You, Karen, Shanna, and Chris were not the targets, lol your brother was (because of all his bitchin') :) You all ended up being innocent bystanders, and Poor you, you really got a face full by sitting right there. So we all felt bad for the four of you, but we came to the conclusion you can't win a war without a few casualties lol

      Uh-huh- that's wicked!
I dig your artwork. You majored in Digital Art and I think that's pretty sick.

Yup, it's true Canada's a nice place. Vancouver's the third largest film production center on the continent, right behind NY and LA. And you're right on- they do a lot of voice recording for tv shows here too.

Keep up the fanart- have you ever tried anything besides BW?
