Someone marked it for me. Online via youtube. The moment from when Caboose, who was played as "The real unlucky one" - and awkwardly became the "utterly stupid one" The personality that I have personally, come to enjoy - gradually over the last ten years or so.
I have never hated the personality of Caboose, I quickly understood it. Comedy is about juxtaposition - going from the highest calibre one can achieve, downgraded to the next pegging. (The slapstick humour succeeds in a pie in the face gag with Oliver Hardy being the one with the pie in the face, because Oliver is the top tramp.)
In Red versus Blue at this point.
---The Red versus blue universe is expanded to us, through the downgraded 'peggings' of social classes. On the Red team, Doc has an exchange Grif, and quickly establishes him as the unpopular one. With these two characters established. Grif and Caboose, can exceed humour as being the worst of their perspective units.
Church has a problem with his switch - for a second, it looks like hes about to go off with a boom again. With a ticking noise going off inside him.
but its Sarge's time again, for the threat level to get imminit. has been pinned down, by the warthog. Because the ticking really indicates that Church has been in unwitting command of the lethal This and much previous to these episodes. Both had been put to death, by Caboose. Now he has been pinned by by the warthog.
Through this example of perfect idiocy, do we see the awkward slip into a forced character on RedVsBlue.
Caboose as we now know him, 13 seasons on.
I really like him now. On the retwatch, being a person - returning back to the REDVSBLUE universe after a long time, It was in the back of my mind, almost so far that I forgot about 'that moment. When Caboose just went utterly stupid.
It wasnt quite as sharp
