I don't know how many of you still venture to this shitty slice of the internet these days, but here I am, posting on it anyway.
In April or May of 2016, Amanda had gotten contacted by a director looking for an Assistant Director. She was going to meet him for lunch but her car was giving her trouble so I drove her to meet him, and we all hit it off. So much so that I got wrapped up into the project.
After a bunch of pre-production meetings, and rehearsals, filming began on June 13th.
There was a TON of bullshit that happened during the filming, that honestly could be it's own movie.
From the 4-6 rich old white people who kicked us out of the neighborhood, to our set designer being impossible to work with, to really long and tough days. At the time I wanted it to be over.
But I do look back on it fondly, and I miss everyone from that crew. It took 3 months for us to finish this film. After getting kicked out of the house, we got an airplane hanger and just built the sets we needed inside. You can check out a 2 week time-lapse I made while they built some of the sets.
But, finally the trailer for the movie is out. Now I'm going to say this here, I have no idea how I feel about this movie yet. To me it was a job, and I took it. Now that's not to say I didn't have fun while making it, and that I hated what we were making.
Let's just say, there is a certain someone who isn't British, doing what they may think is a British accent. It literally kills me to hear her talk. But alas, I'll link you to it.
Here is the Trailer for Close Calls.
If you want to ask me anything, I'm an open book.
