Last weekend, I finally completed Portal 2 co-op with my lazy brother smiley1.gif , and let me preface this by saying I love everything behind the scenes, so the developer commentary is like candy to me! After finishing the game, I started researching online everything Portal 2, and found "The Final Hours of Portal 2" by Geoff Keighley, the iPad app. It is a 15,000 word article with tons of pictures, some videos, and a bunch of interactives. It..was...AWESOME!! I cant recommend it enough, it was a dollar and took me about 2 hours to read, but it was well worth it. It was like the developers' commentary on every steroid in the world stuffed with pictures, stories, and interactive stuff. Again, I would recommend it to anyone. On an unrelated note, I finally watched King of Kong this weekend and thought that was a wonderful movie, so between the article and the movie, I was just completely immersed in video games this weekend... and I loved every second of it. smiley0.gif

On the podcast, Gus, Griffon, and Burnie mentioned that they want to grow RTX into a 5-thousand people event! This scares me, because even though I was unable to make it to RTX this year (even though I had tickets... smiley4.gifsmiley2.gifsmiley11.gifsmiley3.gif not happy), one of the coolest ideas about it was that it was small, personal, and private and you actually had a good chance of being able to interact with everyone. Being able to sit down and just chat with some of the staff was one of the main reasons I wanted to go, and Im sure this personal feel would be lost in a couple thousand person event. Now, even though I only recently joined the site, I have been following RT for a while and they will always be a bunch of guys in Burnie's bedroom just messing around to me, and having such this huge event just doesnt seem to fit their M.O. I understand that from a business perspective, their expanding, and all the congrats in the world to them, but it just doesnt feel right.
EDIT: Because of these reasons, next year, I probably wouldnt be so quick to spend the couple hundred dollars to fly out to Texas for a weekend... :(

      Anyone agree with me?

That's my spiel, thanks for listening and have good night. smiley6.gifsmiley1.gif

I'm not sure if I should be laughing or crying, probably a bit of both.

(Before you ask...Yes! Watching RvB, listening to the Drunk Tank, and playing Reach...ALL SUCK!!!) My internet needs an intervention cause its gotta be on something to be this slow.

I use photoshop, because I like to draw. Illustrator is for making graphics.

I use a wacom intuos 2 large. For tablets, bigger is better, so get the biggest one you can for the best price you can. I suggest ebay.

Well later on tonight I am going to test some recording options so people can watch the awesome parts whenever they want. As for weekend shows . . . not from me. Weekdays work better!

Idk when we will be doing a weekend AHTV again, you have to ask Fragger about that.

I've just been a member of the AH community for a while, and I got to know everybody and eventually became friends with them. I guess you could say I got lucky
