I thought the world would have ended by now, so I didn't work on the comic last night. So I had to rush today to make this:

      Page1:
      turn1.jpg?t=1218239284

      Page2:
      turn2.jpg?t=1218239284

      Page3:
      turn3.jpg?t=1218239284

      So there you go.

      Notes:
Again, I'm throwing in random stuff from other mod packs in the background. Specifically, the thing flying overhead in the first panel. Also, in the last panel. Someone we thought was dead is still lurking about. Hm. Shake the 8-ball, it says 'Wait and see.'
In order to make the next comics, I need to get some addons to work first. Shouldn't take too long. I'm gonna shoot for wrapping this whole thing up by the end of the month.

      Peace,

I'm lazy. Didn't feel like making the comic, so I did this instead.

Ow. Pain. Exhaustion. I just got off working a 12 HOUR SOLO SHIFT today. That's 12 god damn hours of work straight. In record-breaking heat. How I'm still alive, I have no idea. I can't wait till this is over tomorrow. Still want to work at Best Buy, but it looks like I'll have to keep searching.

      In comic news:
Gmod wont start on my laptop for some reason. I sent Team Garry a message concerning this, and they told me the last update screwed with the .exe file for Vista users, and will patch it this weekend. So I'll be shooting this comic on my Desktop. The quality will be a bit lower, but I should still be able to get it out on time.

Oh my god, that was an awesome day. First we (My Mom, her friend Jim and I) set up camp at the main stage, where the first band we saw was OneRepublic. They were just wrapping up when we got there, so I didn't see much. Now, the shows I was there to s didn't start until 4:00, so I wandered around for a bit and found this:
      DSC00409.jpg?t=1216688381
It's funny, I was just walking by and the guy running it says: "Hey! Do you play Guitar Hero!?" I said yes, he said "Good, we need you up here." He dragged me into a mini tournament with seven other guys. I placed 3rd, losing on The Metal by Tenacious D. It was fun.
My adventures continued when I went over to th Flogging Molly stage, where I met:
      DSC00410.jpg?t=1216688562
Dennis Casey, Molly's lead guitarist. I told him I saw them back in December, he said I must have had the biggest set of balls Denver ever saw to get through that blizzard.
      Photos during the show:

Righteous and Kick-ass, no? They'll be back for New Years, and so will I.

Right after that, I went over to the FLOBOTS stage. Now for those of you who don't know who the Flobots are, They are a Denver local band. This is their song, Handlebars which landed them a record deal. Anyway:

And after the show, I met the band side-stage.
Me with Mackenzie, the violin player
      DSC00455.jpg?t=1216690066

And me with Jonny Five the lead singer (yes, that's his real name.)
      DSC00458.jpg?t=1216690127

OH! and I forgot to mention. at th end of th Flogging Molly set, I was close and fortunate enough to catch George Schwindt's broken drumstick! It reads:
      "Flogging Molly Mile High Festival"
      DSC00462.jpg?t=1216690531
      "2008 Commerce City, CO"

      -DAVE KING
      DSC00464.jpg?t=1216690667

And if that wasn't enough, the Flobots signed it, too!
      DSC00459.jpg?t=1216690710
      DSC00461.jpg?t=1216690737
I'm never letting this thing go.

So, after that, I headed over to see John Mayer, but it was packed. I didn't get close enough for pictures, but it was still good.

Last was Dave Matthews Band, the guys everyone went to see.
      Photos:
(I know they're blurry, my camera don't work so well at night.)

.....and then decided to go through with it. Hope you like it:

      Page 2:
      run2.jpg?t=1216438221

      Page 3:
      run3.jpg?t=1216438221

      Notes:
Well, that's it for Gman. Or is it? Only time will tell. Speaking of time, theres something stuck in the background of the first panel. I dunno, it looks oddly familiar...Oh, well. For some reason, Spy's knife pulled a disappearing act in panel 11. I don't know how that happened, but it doesn't really matter. When I made him half-invisible, his gun wouldn't change with him, so that's why it's solid instead of transparent. I also wanted to bring the whole gang back together, and thought this would be a good chance to do that.

      Other news:
I handed in my 2 weeks notice at work today, and I've already applied to a bunch of different places, but I'm hoping for Best Buy, especially since they just built a new store right down the street. School starts in about a month, so I've got some major prep-work to do. Also my birthday is in 3 days, so that's good. \

That's all for now, see y'all Monday!

      Suck it, Tack

    • The God Damn Batman

Needless to say, The Dark Knight was most excellent. Definitely darker than Begins, and I liked that. And much better, I thought. I went to see this movie with high expectations and they were all exceeded.

From this point on, it's all grey boxes, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Heath Ledger makes a phenomenal Joker. I highly doubt that anyone can top his performance. The fact that they kept his origin cloudy was a plus. Anytime he would tell someone something about his past, specifically, how he got his scars to the mob and Rachel, his story would change. Aaron Eckhart was an awesome Harvey Dent, all the way through. Especially when he became Two-Face. How he got his face burned was cool, stuck in one of the Jokers traps, he knocks over his own chair as well as an oil drum, spilling fuel on the floor, half his face stuck in it. When Bats rescued him, the building blew up as the got out the door, igniting what was on Dent's face. Super creepy. To track down the Joker, Batman really went to extremes using Lucius Fox's invention, a sonar emitter placed in cell phones to provide echolocation, "like a submarine." Fox didn't approve of him using this to spy on everyone in Gotham, and said when it was over he would leave. Maggie Gyllenhaal did very well as Rachel, and really did the character justice.
She also played a critical role in turning Harvey into Two-Face.

What's funny is, there's a bunch of guys going around Gotham dressed as Batman trying to help him. When they asked him why they shouldn't, he replied, "The difference is, I'm not wearing hockey pants!" This was at the beginning when Scarecrow (hell yeah, I was hoping he'd return) and his thugs were striking a deal in a parking garage. He also got attacked by dogs here, which pierced his armor, hence him upgrading to the shiny new suit.

The bat signal plays a different role now. Batman doesn't always go to it when it's on, it's mostly used to remind people he's still out there. Until Dent needed to talk to him, that is. In the end, Joker lives, Two-Faces fate is unknown, and Batman is made a fugitive.

That's all I'm gonna post about this movie. If you want more, you have to see it yourself, and there is no reason why you shouldn't. Overall, I'd give this movie a 9.8/10.

And on another note, I'm nearly finished with the next comic, it will be out on Friday, as scheduled.

      Keep the Faith,

      -Pete
