And now I finally come back again.
When did Rooster Teeth become Facebook?

It has been a long time.
I've missed out on a lot of this website and its community, which looks to be ever expanding. I guess I almost forgot about it what with being as busy as I usually am. I'm hoping I'll be able to have the time to catch up on what I've missed out on as far as RT News and Comics, and the latest season of RvB goes.
Now where's that old tag I used to use...

However, I'm not dead yet!
When was the last time I posted..? Some time around the end of last year, I think... Yeah.
Well, not a great deal has happened since then, yet enough to warrant me writing this I suppose.
I finished school, yay. I enrolled at a college, also yay.
College is awesome. You may (or may not) be interested to know I'm doing a 2 year Advanced Diploma of Games Design and Development, Majoring in Game Art. So, basically I'm learning to make video games, as far as modelling, texturing, rigging and animating goes (everything except coding). It's fun. Like, really, really fun.
So far we've learned to model our own 3D objects using a program called Autodesk Maya 2011, animate and apply basic textures (using the same program), and then we learned to animate character rigs and face rigs (that was cool). We then learned to create our own textures using Adobe Photoshop CS5. We've just finished a whole class project, which was to create a city to be placed in a game level. Of the 3, 3D Art classes, mine was given the sci fi themed city -- the others were 'human' and 'bio'. The human themed city ended up being themed French Steampunk. They sunk a huge chasm in the ground and placed a modified version of the Eiffel Tower above it (complete with giant mining drill), while the bio city was basically a city made of plants, tentacles and pus. It looked cool too. Ours was basically a gleaming, yet dark, towering city, surrounded by slums and machine gun equipped watch towers. I was put in charge of making the spire, in which our evil tyrant overlord would live, so I made a TRON-like building, based on the night club tower from TRON Legacy.
I think I'm going to have an awesome time with our next assignment, which is character design, where the theme is Nursery Rhymes and Fairy Tales, which you then must apply one or more of the following themes to: undead, steampunk, cyberpunk, gothic, or... the other one I forget (it must've been the most uncool of the five).
Unfortunately though, with me being at College 3 days a week, it hasn't left me much time to work, so I'm becoming more and more broke as time goes on. Smeg. :(
Ptree, signing off... Again. Probably for a while, judging by my recent presence (or lack thereof) on this site.

Sorry, had to get that one in before anyone else.
Onto my Journal...
So I realised I haven't posted anything on here in quite a long time.
I think what I'll do first is go over what I was talking about last time I posted a Journal, and then move on from there...
Okay, so I was talking about how much school was getting to me. The part where I have to get up real early and go to school to attend classes is over, thank The Flying Spaghetti Monster, and so have most of my final exams, or HSC exams for those who know what I'm talking about. I have one left on Thursday morning; Physics, which is one that I believe is going to rape me, continuously, over the time period we have to sit it.
Unfortunately for my grades, however, I've become obsessed with Minecraft and I've actually gone and found every single episode of Pokemon, and have been watching them religiously. Ah well, at least by the time Thursday is over I will have a nice big mansion to run around in, on Minecraft, and I'll have been most of the way through Season 1 of Pokemon (with only another 9 and a bit to go. though, I've heard season 11 and 12 are currently being made as well).
Now, to the videogaming problem, i.e. the unavailability of videogames in my household, due to my parents' bullshittiness (yes, that's a word now). I said in my last Journal something about buying the new 360 Slim, and a lot of the new big name releases (Halo: Reach, Fable 3, COD: Black Ops, AC: Brotherhood). I'm happy to say I've already got the Limited Edition of Halo: Reach, and the Collector's Edition of Fable 3, so that's cool, but obviously I haven't been able to play them yet. However, while I am still planning on buying the 360 Slim (with the 250GB HDD) and a Kinect kit (shut up, haters, I'm still gonna get it), I've got to fit in that kind of spending around my car costs. As I said last Journal, it's costing me around $200 per month for fuel, but because of my thrashing of the car around off-road areas and mud pits, I've also got to save up enough money to put aside for parts replacement/repairs. So, with my employer about to give me a pay rise, buying a new XBox could take anything up to 3 weeks. Heh.
Oh, and I should be buying myself a LIVE Gold membership some time soon (12 months subscription), so I look forward to seeing a few of my old friends on the Halo and COD servers.
As I said last time, I still haven't finished Fable 2 yet. I know, shame on me, but I haven't had an XBox since April, and at the time I was making the most of my LIVE subscription by constantly playing COD6. So basically, when I get my XBox back, I'm going to do the entire Halo: Reach campaign (and hopefully remember to time myself when I do it on Legendary, just to see if I can do any better than Halo 3: ODST, which took me about 5 hours), and then finish Fable 2, probably skip GTA4 and move onto Fable 3, and then finish Assassin's Creed 1 (only because, while I've done the campaign twice already, my XBox profile doesn't remember).
Oh yeah! That old Steam account I was given. Well, it's got a few great titles on it already; Dawn of War 2, Saints Row 2, Garry's Mod (which I still refuse to believe is actually fun, but meh), etc. Apparently I'll be spending a lot of time on Garry's Mod, because the friend who gave the account to me wants to teach me how to have fun with it. I don't think my laptop will want to handle it though. Which is why I've decided to save up for (I know, so much money -spending) a gaming-specified desktop PC. Either I'll buy an Alienware tower, or I'll find a good list of specs and build one myself. Either way it's going to set me back at least $1000, ugh.
I mentioned Starcraft 2 last time I posted. I'd just like to reinforce my lack of care for that game. I didn't play Starcraft 1 at any point, I don't much care for Starcraft 2, especially when I have Dawn of War and DOW2, and I simply do not think it's a good game. Don't try to convince me otherwise, or convince me to buy it. One day, I probably will, but it's not one of my priorities. My priorities extend mainly to my car and my XBox, that's it.
So er... Wish me luck for Phyiscs on Thursday. And indeed not dying when I start working next week, every day, until late July next year. It's going to be tough. I worked Thursday and Friday of last week, and while I made over $200 just in those two days, I was physically and mentally wrecked all weekend.
Oh, and I just remembered, before I do a lot of those things, I have to get to finishing DJ D-Tor's new album artwork, which he has been waiting patiently for me to do for him for the past month. Sorry D-Tor, I'll make sure I have it finished before Christmas, I promise!
Ok, that's it from me. Ciao.

I think so.
Sure, I come on here every day. I keep up with Red vs Blue and whatever alerts I have, you know. But I must admit I spend most of my puter time on Facebook and Tumblr. They are both very addictive.
I'm still sick of school. Well... The HSC, not year 12. Year 12 is fun, it's just the pressure of the upcoming final exams that's not fun. I don't even care, and apparently it's still annoying me. At least I know I'll pass, that's good enough.
I'm still not allowed to be playing any video games. I've gotta wait until the 4th of November (the day of my last exam) until I'm allowed to play anything. However, around that time (Novemberish) I'll be buying that new XBox 360 and the Kinect System (because fuck you, that's why), along with Halo: Reach Limited Edition (which I've already preordered) and eventually Call of Duty: Black Ops. I'm also looking forward to the Assassin's Creed" Brotherhood release and the Fable 3 release.
I think I'll be finishing Fable 2 when I get my gaming privileges back. I also haven't done much of the GTA4 campaign... Ugh, so much games to finish. That'll teach me to spend all my time on the Modern Warfare 2 campaign and multiplayer achievements. So, when I get said privileges back, I will finish the campaigns of the games I have, get the last achievements on Assassin's Creed 2 and Modern Warfare 2, THEN (if I have enough money) I'll get myself a 12 month LIVE subscrition so I can haves teh funs online. Yay!
Oh! Almost forgot to mention, a mate of mine gave me his Steam account for my birthday. So I've got a bunch of games on there to play too. Oh dear. Oh, and then there's another mate buying me the Dawn of War 2 expansion, Chaos Rising. And then there's all those people who will not rest until I buy Starcraft 2. Ugh. So I've got a few busy nights ahead of me following my HSC exams. (Oh yeah, fuck the exams and studying for them. I'm just waiting until I can start playing games every night, work during the day, and attend TAFE next year.)
Also, I turned 18, got a new car (old car, but new for me), and now I'm spending nearly $200 a week on diesel. Fun.
That's enough updating from Ptree.

So... I got my driver's license on Tuesday. Things are pretty sweet now.
Here's how my life changed after I got said license:
- I can now drive wherever I want.
- My money is disappearing quicker than usual.
- I can see more friends more often.
- When I'm not driving I get extremely bored very quickly.
- I have to run errands for mum and my sister quite a lot.
Things are kinda awesome when I can do/go wherever want. When I turn 18 (3 days from now), I'll be almost completely free. Hewray for me.
