Back on my computer and writing my first review of Halo 3.
This was supposed be the game to end all Halo and it did it for me but not for some players. I loved this campaign and the new master chief model made me orgasm from the jump between H2-H3. The multiplayer is always enjoyable and the music is melodic as usual. The campaign I would have liked to be a little longer and wrap up a little better inside of leaving room for Halo 4. I enjoy the constant map packs, and that they kept the machinima making dream alive even if the code is a bit annoying. The achievements fit but still some are impossible for me to get, /cry. The fileshare feature really improved the map game, and forge really helped this feature along with the added ability of saved films. Saved films brought good and bad to the game, for people with good connections this was a great feature however for those idiots with bad connections this was a horrible feature that fueled some hate towards bungie studios. And to elaborate on forge it brought a huge aspect of customization because you could pretty much make your own map which is AWESOME, and now with "Lockout" coming back I can try the shit I wanted to for all the years of Halo 2.
Overall I quite enjoyed the game, it was the best game of '07 for me, next to Call of Duty 4. As a series ender it could use some work but it was still a great game.
Thanks to Bird Phobia for reminding me about the weapons which I forgot to review... The return of the original Halo weapon, the Assault Rifle. I loved the valiant return of this godly gun. The smg's are back again for noobs everywhere, and this time more powerful then ever.... ugh. The sword gets a scene too, and it's partner in crime, THE GRAVITY HAMMER comes into play. Now I knew what the hammer was supposed to do, it was supposed to wrap gravity if Halo 2 was correct but I guess not. I guess it's just a huge hammer that kills things within a certain distance. The shotgun's counterpart the mauler's are a nice addition and the new spikers are nothing without dual wielding, which is not my cup of tea but it could be yours.
I also forgot a section about the vehicles and one about the glitches. First for the vehicles, let's start with the hornet, which is the counterpart of the banshee. The hornet brings more fight to the banshee with the dual machine gun and the big ass rockets. However bungie created the hornet for objective type games because the hornets can carry passengers. The banshee on the other hand was created for slayer type games because it's a one man killing machine. The mongoose was a great addition because it brings the fun physics of the warthog but it seems to be a bit faster and a bit more fun because of the size. If you want to try something, I have a mongoose catapult on my fileshare so just look up L33T 6AM3R. The brute chopper was kinda like a counterpart to the mongoose, and the ghost and the prowler. The chopper was a ok addition but brings nothing the ghost doesn't. The prowler brought a more team addition to the fast moving vehicles but you need a TEAM to use the damn thing.
And glitches which has baffled some people because there is barely any. Like you could make yourself invincible in forge but you can't do it over live. Or getting out of the map done IN FILMS NOT IN GAME. There are no online glitches to date today.
