I'm petitioning to Washington to let them know the firearm owners and supporters are NOT happy being treated like criminals, despite the majority of us being good, honest people who never want to be put in a situation where we'd have to shoot a human being. Let them know that our representatives need to represent US!

Please sign the petition and ask your friends to do the same. Myself included, I only have 3 signitures. I need 150 to have the petition viewable in the public searches and open petitions screen. You can either follow the URL I've provided, or scan my default picture with your smartphone to get to the site.

I have decided to create my very own White House "We the People" petition in response to all of the talks of heavily restrictive gun bans.

The jist of the petition is to demand Obama to use the Executive Order for the forces of good, by asking all elected officials seeking to create these new, restrictive laws to resign from their positions. While I doubt Obama would actively seek the resignation of his allies in the Senate and House, I would like them to see our outrage.

The petition needs 150 petitioners in order to achieve public status. I'd like to ask each and every firearm-loving American that views this to not only sign the petition, but to promote it as well. Our voices need to be heard.

      Again, here is the link:

...my ass! Some kid brought a 12-gauge shotgun to school because he's finally cracked under the pressure of being bullied, and only managed to seriously wound 1 person. Apparently, that isn't news. I guess because it wasn't a rifle with the aesthetic accessories that would turn it into a supposed "assault weapon", this wasn't a newsworthy event. I swear, if this kid had an AR-15, no matter what accessories were on the gun, all of the politicians and journalists would be using it for more fuel on the fire. But, a shotgun and no casualties can just get swept under the rug because it doesn't serve their purposes. Makes me wonder if these people (shooters) were coerced by the Gov to do these horrible things; wouldn't surprise me given how shady various agencies can be. Let's hope that isn't the case.

Good thing most of those kids were ok, even if they were specifically targeted. Maybe they'll learn to treat others with a bit of respect and enjoy the life they have. If anything, maybe the lack of journalistic integrity is good... wouldn't want to give that bitch Feinstein or the President Inept any additional ideas.

Until yesterday, Illinois has had a law where it was illegal to film on-duty police officers. Hooray! Now we can hold them accountable for their actions!

In addition to attempting to finish my career at Western Illinois University with the best academic semester I've ever pulled off, I have also had the idea to attempt something else. When I was Vice-President of the College Republicans, our advisor forgot to mention some paperwork and the organization was suspended. I had to find a job, so I stopped being so active in student politics. Eventually, the Campus Greens were the only organization left.

I got some emails from the newly formed College Democrats, inviting me to attend their meetings. While, I may do so for the purpose of trolling/espionage, I'm going a different direction. As I no longer identify with the label of "Republican", I have decided to revive the Libertarian Party on campus.

Well, I found out that I have a Bacon number of 3 today. If you don't know, the number denoted how many actors or public figures are needed to separate you from Kevin Bacon. Someone who shares a film with Kevin Bacon has a 1.

My connection. I am acquainted with Gina Gonzalez, who is the guitarist for the Lt. Dan Band with Gary Sinese, who starred in Apollo 13 with Kevin Bacon.

My cousin, Brian has a Bacon Number of 2 because he was in the Bachelor with Brooke Shields. Lucky bastard.

Congrats, everyone. Barring any further connection, you now have a Bacon number of 4.

...Eve. But, I likely will not make a return for a short time. So, I'm getting you all for the holiday as well. If you don't celebrate, whatever, let me have my fun.

Financial constraints mean my gift prospects are pretty minimal, but I did go out and buy presents for quite a few people. I'm just really hoping that I make a lot of people very happy over the next few days. However, you can all do me a big favor for a Christmas gift. If you're an American, I would like you to consider signing a White House "We the People petition here. If you're particularly passionate about Piers Morgan's hateful comments about good ole ammendment #2, you can also sign this petition, as a joke of course... one of the beautiful things about our constitution is that people have the freedom of speech, no matter how incorrect they are.

I also received a gift from my Professor. He bumped up my personal grade on the project so that I only lost half of a letter grade. He flat-out failed my group members. I found this out because I received a call from a deleted number saying his grade was lower than what he did on WesternOnline, significantly lower. That, and the official grades not having me with a B- in that class. Win

In any case, Merry Christmas to all.

George Takei of Star Trek fame was trying to compare his idea that gun enthusiasts believe everyone should have a gun to that of everyone flying fighter planes. Yes, I absolutely wanted to scream at him about the implausibility of flying a multi-million (or billion) dollar aircraft, even if you're in a branch of service that uses them. This being due to the ridiculous physical requirements to actually go in the cockpit and the amount of training needed. However, I decided to check out the comments people left.

Since Takei is an openly gay man, famous for acting in the extremely liberal Star Trek series, it isn't so surprising that a sweeping majority of the people who like his page on Facebook are pretty liberal. What I kept seeing over and over again was the phrase "semi-automatic" being thrown around. I came to realize, I don't think liberals actually have a grasp of what semi-automatic means. I imagine they probably see "automatic" and all coherent thought is replaced with screaming.

It was really shitty to hear about an elementary school being shot up moments after I delivered my FOID application to the Post Office. Probably the worst timing for that. I sort of held a blackout on media for the day, pretty tired of hearing the Gun Control vs. Gun Freedom argument that automatically overshadows the plight of the victims. Besides, I already heard enough about guns being the inherent cause of violence the night before, while I was filling out my FOID application.

Unlike what Michael Bloomberg says, my thought is that an incident like that is beyond the issue of whether or not we are allowed to own and carry firearms; stuff like that is about the people who were affected. The lives of children are not a soap box.

Federal Government decided to actually do something right. Illinois will be forced to adopt some sort of firearm carry law within 180 days. I have no doubt the Chicago Democrats will make it ridiculously restrictive, but it's a start.

Also, since I'm hoping to move out of my parents' house shortly after graduating in May, I've applied for the FOID card we need in Illinois.

Certainly similar to Canadian laws, in that sense. Little better though. I know my friend told me you can only get single shot or 3 round burst M16s...automatic makes you look crazy, unless you say something like "my aim is retardedly bad"

Yes, I have 500 or so hours in a UH-1. It's a good ship. Reliable. Not excessively strong since it can only carry about 2000 lbs before reaching max gross weight. It doesn't fly well at high altitude, but is a safe and simple and reliable bird. Why?

I highly doubt it....Denver actually had a reasonably good offense with Cutler; albeit an offense that couldn't (and stil can't) seem to find it's way into the end-zone. Stat for stat (excluding TD's) Denver had (has) one of the better performing O lines with (and without) Cutler & he still ran his mouth.

Best of luck though....I hate the NFL, I've always been a college ball guy

A mossberg street sweeper 12 ga. is a good (and inexpensive) first weapon and is good for the home. It scatters and limits penetration but delivers a lot of impact force.

How you doing! Just some-random-guy checking in...thought I'd give my 2 cents on the issue of cheap guns for home defense.

There are many good cheap guns for such purposes. Hi-point sells a lot of cheap guns (both pistols and carbines (rifle that shoots pistol round)). Personally, I wouldn't trust a hi-point pistol with my life, but the carbine does a great job for about $250 new! You can now even get them in .45!!!

Another good choice would be a revolver. For a first handgun, I'd suggest nothing less. Revolvers are easy to shoot, and easy to handle, as well as allow for mistakes by novices!!! a good cheap revolver (prefer a .357, but use 38 special rounds) will go for about $300-$400 new, and about $200-$300 used.

Mossberg makes a great shotgun, and I know a lot of people who use shotguns for home defense, but unless you're able to shoot it, improper form and awkward stances in intensifies times may end up doing more harm than good. handguns are more agile, but rifles are more powerful.

BUT, my favorite gun of all time is the Mosin Nagant. It was a russian sniper rifle in WW2, and had over 42 million copies made. The guns are VERY cheap (around $100), and VERY deadly. The only problem is that it weighs 10 lbs, is 52 inches long, and has some kick to it for the inexperienced rifleman.

Either way, I'd say stick to a larger caliber bullet. for handguns, nothing less than a .380. 9mm, .40, and .45 are great though! Remember, carbines use pistol ammo.

      for a rifle, a .223, 7.62 X 39 ( or 54), .308 or larger would be good.

For shotgun, home defense requires nothing more than a 20 ga, but your best bet is to stick with a 12 ga. they make and sell 8, 10, 14, 16, and 18 ga, but trust me, when it comes to shotguns, stick to 12 or 20.

Yes, but it's tenuous at best. Was only 5-4 which means we have 4 communist types on the supreme court who don't give a flying fuck about the constitution. That's scary. we won, but by the slimmest of margins. That really is unacceptable but exactly what I expected from an Obama supreme court.

They'll scream "Please don't hurt me" while they're robbed and their children are murdered.

I wonder if their frantic call to 911 will bring solace when they're dead. The police cannot nor would I want them everywhere. The supreme court has also upheld the concept that they cannot be held liable for failing to protect you.

Me, I'd urinate on it and mail it to the professor, but I'm a mean heartless son-of-a-bitch smiley1.gif

my setup isnt that great. i only use one setup, and revert to another with a stinger in case of pavelow/harriers/etc.

      M16, holographic
Random secondary weapon (usually aa-12, ranger or m93): rarely use these.
      Claymore/2 stun grenades

      Perks:
Stopping power pro, Scavenger pro (pick up more claymores), Commando pro

I play a fairly camp-based game to get some killstreaks in TD Express. Got predator missile, harrier, pave low.

My other setup is basically the same, except ACR and Stinger.
I play WAY too much with the m16, but im getting tired of it. might switch to TAR or m4.
