Thinking about my top 5 favorite movies of all time. Movies I could watch back to back forever and never get bored. I know two, and am thinking on the remaining three. I'll put them in order later.

-The Legend of the Drunken Master
      -Dog Soldiers

Just finished working out. My routine's pretty simple. On weekdays I do a lot of stretching, then I do 5 circuits of 20 pushups, 6 chinups, 6 one legged squats on each leg, 20 situps, 20 leg raises, then go on a 3 mile run. I couldn't run today though, the tide was too high. If it's too high tomorrow I'll run the road.

I talked to a guy from Bnet today from Gibraltar who was going to england to for basic training in the army. His situation is a little different than mine because the Gibraltar Regiment operates out of Gibraltar, but it rekindled my desire to join the UK forces as opposed to the US forces. I have relatives in the UK, and my dad is going to move back when he retires, so it would be a good move that would keep me close to my family. Not to mention how awesome the UK forces are.

Listening to the RT podcast, this one is hilarious. "They'll spawn in your butt" Geoff is great. Poor Jack gets torn apart in this podcast. Gus talks about WOW quite a bit which is very entertaining. I'm going to miss Gav in the podcast. I wish he didn't get yelled at so much, but in the last podcast he did deserve the majority of it. Joel doesn't say to much in the podcast, but I don't want to leave him out. So i said his name. Just then. Great podcast. I listen to the podcast repeatedly when I have to do chores and stuff like that.

I bought the Paramore song "Ignorance" from iTunes today. I heard it on 1077 The End and bought it. I'm having a really hard time finding any music I like, especially new music. I'm going to see if the Samurai Champloo soundtrack is any good and may buy that. Also I just want to say "especially" is one of my favorite words. I only recently figured out how to spell it correctly. Ha ha!

About my cat, Aladdin. We found him while walking the beach when I was 2. He's been with us for 16 years, and has moved from Guam to San Diego to WA to Lemoore, and back to WA. He's pretty agressive and likes to fight, but he's also very sweet. Since he's so big and tough he'll randomly bite you on occasion. He'll just be sat in your lap and then bite your leg unprovoked. He's an awesome cat and I love him.

Trick r' Treat was meant to come tomorrow in the mail, but came today. I enjoyed it a lot. It was very entertaining, and had a lot of dark humor. One story is pretty straight forward, but the rest have some pretty cool twists. I liked the final story the best. Trick r' Treat wasn't scary, but it did have a great atmosphere that kept me on the edge of my seating waiting for the next twist.

Samurai Champloo is so awesome. I think it is my favorite anime yet. The characters are great, and the fight scenes are fantastic. It's also extraordinarily funny. I just finished disc four, and it was the best disc yet. Mugen and Jin always get tricked by women, I don't know why they never learn. I'm really looking forward to the next disc.

    • Halo 3 ODST achievements

I got 1000G in Halo 3 ODST today. I really enjoyed the game and am going to keep playing firefight for a long time. I got the campaign achievements first, which were all pretty easy, especially with RT's help. The audio log guide was a savior. I think I have to Jack to thank for that, thanks Jack! Here are some thoughts and strategies on getting 200000 points in firefight on several maps.

The strategy my friends and I used for Alpha Site was to stay opposite the stairs the covenant come down. One person focuses on taking down shields, while the other gets headshots. The person with the plasma can either get the rockets at the beginning and hold them to the chieftains, or grab them at the end of wave four. I find that the best choice for plasma up until wave five is the plasma rifle as its easier to take out drones with fully automatic fire. When wave five starts grad a plasma pistol.

Chasm Ten is one of my favorite maps, but at first I didn't like it. The trick is to use a plasma pistol and automag throughout most of the level. When drones come, rip off a turret and stick to the upper tunnels. On the fifth wave jump down onto the ledge, then onto a crate. If you jump from the ledge to the ground you will take damage. Grab the rockets from the spawning room, and take the lift back up. Use a plasma pistol to take down a chieftains shields then hit him with a rocket. When black eye and catch turn on this level gets a lot harder. Brutes will hang out right outside the entrance of the upper tunnels and try and stick you. You can throw grenades a lot faster than they can, so stick them before they stick you. Engineers are in this level, and can be a problem. Just stick to the tunnels and keep peeking out of the entrances till you find it and kill it. The map crater works in a very similar way.

Last Exit seems hard, but once you get a ghost and bring it to a parking lot it gets a lot easier. Hang on to a bpr and an automag, although you won't likely need them. Once you hijack a ghost, take it up the stairs and into a parking lot. You can just mow down the enemies as they come up the way you did. A phantom will sometimes drop troops in the parking lot. Try to find cover while in the ghost, but make sure the area is clear of enemies. Just because reinforcements are coming doesn't mean there aren't remaining enemies. Grunts should be priority, then drones. Hunters don't like to come into the parking lot, but they will come in a little bit to shoot at you if you go to the other end of the parking lot. They can jump pretty well believe it or not, so try to shoot them as opposed to splattering them. Once you get a feel for how this level works you can get 200000 easily.

I'd like to explain some strategies for the other four maps, but my eyes are tired from getting my last firefight achievement. I might make a journal about the other four maps in a few days.

A few days ago my Mom noticed the hose in the front yard was broken. This would be an issue because we use that hose to wash cars. I asked her "Are you sure that you didn't leave the hose on overnight, and when you tried to turn it on you actually turned it off?" She said she was sure. My mom kept saying that she couldn't believe the hose broke. I asked her again if she turned it off when she meant to turn it on, and my mom said "I'm always right about things, you never are." So I go outside and look at the hose. It's running just fine, but she thought it was off so she didn't bother checking. This is like the third time she's done this. My mom said "Okay, you were right, but you rarely are"

Today my mom changed the water jug in the garage. After she goes into town she comes back and the garage floor is covered in water. She says it's broken and leaking out of the bottom and we need a new water jug. The water jug is clearly leaking from the top, and it's obvious she poured water to the brim, then inserted the jug causing it to overflow. So I get a bucket and let some water out through the spout. She goes into the garage, shakes the jug and it starts leaking again. My mom comes out of the garage and says "I told you I'm always right! It's leaking again!" I told her it's because she shook it, and she asks my dad to check it out. He decides to remove the jug and empty out the bowl. I told him "I'll just release more water and it will be fine." My mom goads him on, and when he started to empty the bowl it slides out of his hands and breaks all over the floor. I found this very entertaining because if my mom would have just listened to me she'd still have a water jug. That's karma.

I ate so horrible today. Usually I don't eat sweets or salty snacks, but not today. Yesterday night I was bored so I decided to try some Carrot Cake sitting on the counter. I took a a few bites, but left it at that. But when I woke up this morning I had a hankering for cake. I ate a fourth of it. Then come lunch I wanted more. That's half a cake. I was going to have an apple to make the meal more healthy, but I was too full from the cake. The next meal was a grilled cheese and an apple. The apple was healthy, but the grilled cheese was all greasy and made me feel sluggish. Then I had more cake. I ate 3/4 of a carrot cake today! I'm feeling horrible my now, but for some reason I don't stop with the junk food. I had some cheetos. I'm ashamed.

I watched an episode of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes today that had his brother Mycroft in it. I didn't know that the movie "The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes Smarter Brother" was a parody of Mycroft. I didn't even know Holmes had a brother! He was played by Charles Gray who played Blofeld in Diamonds are Forever. Mycroft is a very cool character. He's smarter than Sherlock, but very lazy and tires easily. He pretended to be asleep in the episode I watched so he could apprehend the main bad guy who was not with his cohorts. Mycroft somehow knew the head baddie would not be with his men before Sherlock even knew exactly where his men were. He's pretty cool and I'm looking forward to seeing him again.

    • Hellsing, Big O, Reebok Ripper

I watched Hellsing Ultimate Part 1 today, and it was awesome. I knew Crispin Freeman was going to voice Alucard just by the way Alucard looks. Crispin Freeman always voices dark and brooding characters. Itachi Uchiha from Naruto, Alex Rowe from Last Exile, and Karasu from Noein come to mind. I have to get the regular Hellsing series from Netflix instead of Ultimate because they don't have disc two. I'm not sure how Hellsing and Hellsing Ultimate differ from one another. Hellsing is shaping up to be pretty cool. I love how Alucard doesn't stop smiling for a minute, even when he's looks like he's losing.

I also watched Big O disc 3. There were only 3 episodes on the disc, but the last one was very enjoyable. It was the one where Dastun is having dreams of a film he saw as a kid, but he's seeing the actress from the movie, and her appearances coincide with bombings. It brought me back to when I was nine years old. That is my favorite episode I can remember. The music in Big O really makes the show.

Time to complain about Outisde Magazine. They had an article about the feet that have been washing on beaches in running shoes in the pacific northwest near the border of Canada. The article sucked. They said that the authorities didn't find any evidence of the first foot being sawed off, but then didn't give an explanation to how the foot may have been detached from the leg. I understand being in the water for long periods of time the feet would have decayed and been chewed on by fishes, but they didn't mention that. Then they didn't share their findings about the other 6 feet either. The only thing I learned from the article is that the feet belonged to 5 different people. There were two pairs, and 3 individual feet.

    • One Piece Again and Vidmaster Endure

I got One Piece today from Netflix, but didn't watch it. I had two discs of The Big O, so I decided I should watch one before I ended up with three discs of The Big O. I would have liked to watch One Piece after The Big O, but got together on XBL with some friends and had a go at Halo 3 ODST Vidmaster Endure.

We tried first on Alpha Site and were doing quite well, but we lagged out at the second round. It's was weird because no one disconnected from live or left the game. Then we decided to give Lost Platoon a chance. We played for over two hours and got the Vidmaster Endure achievement. Our final score was 1,300,000.

Also I got the third issue of Halo Helljumper in the mail. It was good and actiony, but I only gave it a quick read. I think I'm starting to piece together what the covenant is up to in the comic, but I won't know for a couple of more issues.

    • One Piece, and ODST Skulls

I thought I had the first disc of One Piece from Netflix, and said I was going to watch it, but I don't have it yet! Hellsing was before it on my list and I forgot. It will be here tomorrow though, and I'm looking forward to watching it. Along with Hellsing I have D-Gray Man, and The Big O.

Also I wanted to reflect some more on Skulls in ODST Firefight, and the worst combos. Catch isn't that bad. You have to headshot a grunt before it sticks you. There is a positive side to this skull. When it's on Brutes will often choose to throw a grenade instead of shooting. You can throw way faster than them, so it present you with a good opportunity to earn a sticky medal.

Black eye is my most hated skull. You won't regenerate stamina unless you melee something, so your health drops fast. It's not too bad if you stay at range, but eventually you will be forced to fight drones, and they will mess you up. They are by far the hardest enemy in my opinion. They flutter around and are very hard to hit.

The Famine skull makes ammo scarce. It's there, but you'll only find about a third of the ammo you usually would. This isn't too bad until the mythic skull turns on. The mythic skull's description is that it doubles the enemies health. But the shields are also doubled. You can take down a brute's shields with plasma pistols, but with famine on you'll only get three charged shots. Once they're gone it's down to the plasma rifle which is good for about 3 brutes. It takes 2 whole clips from a needler to take down a brute, and two plasma or spike sticks. This combo is the hardest I think, but it is multiplied by the fact the first time you face it all skulls are on.

Also I don't know why, but I always want to spell "shield" with the "e" before the "i". This is the only word I continuously do this with. And if it's meant to be "i" before "e" except after "c", why is weird spelt like this?

Just tried to get this notoriously hard achievement on Alpha Site. We made it to the wave 5 of the final round of set 4. There were about 4 to 6 enemies left, and we all died. The Mythic and tilt skulls make the enemies unbelievably strong, famine makes it so there's basically no ammo, and black eye stops your shields from regenerating. Even though we didn't get the achievement it was better to go down fighting than to lag out and not know how far we could have gotten. My eyes will be killing me for the next couple of days, but once they feel better I look forward to trying again.
