That kicks ass, I had flipped to NBC to see about the what was happening in Grant park at Obama's rally when all the sudden a graphic pops on screen saying Obama won. The way it popped up, I couldn't tell if it was real, or if someone had hit the wrong button. I stayed there to verify, then went right back to watching the Indecision 2008 live coverage on comedy central to see their reaction.

One thing though, I had switched to CNN at one point and Anderson Cooper was talking to Will.I.Am about the video he made, but he was being broadcast from Chicago, but instead of Cooper talking to a screen he was on, they had him as a "hologram". What the fuck is that shit, first off, this is CNN, not star trek, it's not a goddamn hologram, they just editted it so it looks like he's in studio

And that leads to the second problem, they did it badly, if you took a screen shot of the show, you would probably think someone had just badly photoshopped him onto the CNN set.

Other than that though, great fucking night. OBAMA

    • I fucking voted

So, I got up early this morning and went to vote. I voted for Obama, for the second time actually, I live in Illinois and voted for him for the senate in 04'.

One thing though, I was expecting the electronic voting machines that they have been talking about for a while now, and while my polling place had one, for the most part it was just hand ballot. But not only that, but they were basically scantron test type forms in which you fill in the oval with a felt tip marker. That is not what I expected.

    • The glut of videogames

There are so many videogames that came out recently or are coming out soon, but there needs to be more time in the day to play them all. I am about halfway through the Fable II story and right now I am working on getting more gold to purchase more shops in order to get more gold.

But I also just got Fallout 3, which I love as well, one complaint through, there is not enough ammo for the weapons, that is a pain in the ass.

I barely have enough time to play these 2 games and then next week GoW 2 and Resistance 2 come out. I want to get them both right away because I am a sucker for special editions, But I am not sure I am even going to be able to afford them both right now. Guess I'll see what happens.

This is awesome, the guy apparently built it from scratch from pictures. I want to know how accurate the suspension is to the vehicles they built for the movie, because that seems it would be difficult to replicate from pictures just trying to determine the steering angles and such.

I read about this online awhile ago but something made me think about it again just recently. After the end of "The Return of the Jedi" when the Death Star II is destroyed in ordit around the forest moon of Endor, what happens to all the pieces of the death star that would be left over.

I got this off of Wookieepedia, its a stormtrooper giving his theory on the subject, and it is great.

Man that was fucking awesome. With the clips they show you as examples of how Church is the alpha work really well, even the ones from RvB from before they had this planned.

Thing I wonder about is Tex, because she died and was a "ghost" in a robotic body, like Church. I wonder how or if they are going to deal.

So, I saw The Dark Knight last night at a 12:01 showing at a local theatre. I cannot recommend this movie enough. It is incredible, stupendous, some other simile. I don't want to say too much, don't want to give anything away, but I plan to see this again, probably tonight, and I am not the kind of person that goes to see a movie in theatres more than once, but this movie I have to.

So, July 7th is bungie day, but it's also the anniversay of the Roswell incident. That happened on July 7, 1947, I only know this because I was watching the episode of Futurama "Roswell That Ends Well" just last week.

I take calls for automotive mechanical claims from repair shops, and I actually got a call from a shop in Roswell, NM yesterday. Never had a call from there before, and the first one I get is on the anniversay of the incident. I just found that funny.

    • New apartment

So I moved into an new apartment with a friend from work. The place is much closer to where I work, so I'll be saving money on rent, utilities and gas for my car. That fucking rocks.

The bad part, ever since I moved my computer to the new place it's decided to crap out on me. Now it looks like it might be the motherboard, which sucks because I paid a good deal of money for that board, its an Asus Striker II Extreme motherboard I bought a little over a year ago, and to get a new one is going to cost a good deal of money. Fuck.

If you are wondering, I am making this entry from my work computer.

    • GTA IV and my near heart attack

So I waited in line Monday night for GTA IV for about 4 hours, I was second in line at the Gamestop near my apartment, and got the special edition of it for the 360. I have to say this game is awesome, the story, the characters, the city, the pedestrians, everything is just incredible. I actually took two days off from work on tuesday and wednesday, I had to use them at some point so I figured why not use them for this.

Well last night I nearly had a heart attack. I had stopped playing for a bit so I could eat some food and decided to watch a movie while I was eating, so I turn on the system and when I switch the tv over to the correct input I see it. The E86 error screen and 1 red light on, the red light of death. I turn it on and off a few times and everytime I get that damn red light. I check the xbox website, and register my xbox in the repair section. At this point I'm thinking I'll have to send it to be fixed, which would mean I would have to wait three weeks to play GTA IV again, motherfucker.

While doing this I check out the faq section and see one on the single red light. It suggests unhooking the cables the trying it and removing the hard drive if it has one. so I unhook the cables, the HD-DVD drive, which I fucking bought about 3 weeks before it officially lost the war, and my hard drive. I restart without the hard drive and it starts up fine. I shut off & hook up the hard drive and restart it again, it works again, then I do the same with the HD-DVD drive as well and it still works. It was at this point that I breathe a sign of relief. If that hadnt worked I would be so very pissed.
