Well I've been a lazy ass since I got back (read: engineering major). Pinks all out was really fucking cool, by far the most fun I've ever had drag racing. It was completely worth the the twelve hour drive to and from North Carolina. The Z-Max dragway is the nicest track we've ever been to, four lanes (two track side by side), all concrete and there were 32,000 people there but it never felt that crowded.

My dad's car ran 9.60's all weekend in 90*+ heat. He got in four runs including one arm dropped by Rich Christensen which he said was the most awesome run he's ever done. His class wasn't picked, they endded up picking cars about 3/10 of a second slower than his.

Link to my facebook album since I don't feel like uploading them all to Photo Bucket.

I guess it's about time I posted about this. A few months ago my dad applied to go to pinks all out in Charotelle NC and actually got in. He's tried a few times before whenever it was close to CT and this is the first time it's he's gotten through.

There are going to be 520 cars for 32 spots in the actual races. Time trial are on Saturday the 25th and the race is the next day for those who get picked. My dad went to the track the other week and ran 9.60's so we have to hope there are 31 other cars there that do about the same.

I'll be bringing my XSi and taking a shitload of pictures.

And since I can't have a post without pictures.

Today is my 20th birthday. Also the first birthday I haven't been home for. Not much significance to this birthday except not being a teenager anymore. Just one year until my friends can bug me to buy them alcohol.

It's been a while since I made one of these and quite a bit has happened. I'm in college now, which I don't think I've ever mentioned before. I'm going to the University of New Haven for Mechanical Engineering. It's going well so far, I'm in a suite style dorm with a common room and bathroom and three people on each side. It's nicer than all the jail cells my friends are stuck in. My entire hallway is engineers and we still do stupid shit like this, this and this.

It fun as usual. It rained a lot so I didn't do as much riding as I would have liked. But I did do a lot of shooting which made up for the lack of riding. Fired about 500 rounds of 12ga, .40, 9mm, .22 and 30-30.

      No this is not overkill.

That's how long I went without a haircut. Since I've graduated high school and it was getting annoying I decided to cut it. I ended up donating 28" to Locks of Love (the minimum length is 10") and it was 42" from the top of my head to where it ended.

The short hair is much nicer, my head felt so lite after it was cut. Now the hair I cut off will be made into some wigs for a few kids going through chemotherapy.

That was in 92*F heat and not using the trans brake. One of the first runs when my dad was letting off well before half track it did a 12.24 @ 31mph.

Sadly, no i didn't get rid of them like that. Big tires and small engine do not let me do that, without breaking something. I've already put two rear ends in it, and I didn't want to grenade another one by burnin them off.

Chances are I'll sell the CB750 Im rebuilding right now in that picture.... I might rebuild it to a cafe racer or give it an original CR750 body fairing (from around 1971). Probably also going to put the bore kit in the engine to bring it into the lower 830cc range without having to tell the insurance companies lol. Should/might have it done by spring... if your really interested that is.

Yeah, I had no clue it was quite that much. I thought $12, maybe $14 per hour. My base pay is $14, then I get shift incentive, and order filler incentive, and some other incentive. It sure will be nice to have the cash though. I cant wait to start.

Yeah, I mean, I know these freaks exist, and i have known about the people protesting soldiers funerals (which is severely messed up), but these people are blaming all the wrong things in the world on gay people. Which to be honest, I think its funny they are so convinced of that.

Very much agreed. I may look into getting a concealed carry license when I move to Wi or Mn, but IDK if they allow concealed carry either.

Actually, I change my mind. The plate does seem to detract a bit from the overall looks but it could have been worse.

I really really want to see this on the road someday.

    • sven

Not entirely sure. I believe you need to have a front plate but I'm not sure if you can have it mounted inside on your dash or if it needs to be outside the car on the front bumper.

Personally, I don't think the plate detracts from the Veyron's looks. If it were mounted dead center on the nose below the Bugatti badge then it would look stupid.
