I'm back. I am indeed alive. I know I played an awesome disappearing act.

      Hmmm, where to start?

      Jesus.

Okay, so work has been going... Not well, not badly... just going. I mean, it's the Air Force and I am a fucking ground trooper. Think about it. Haha.

Between work and my social life, time is short for this type of thing. I have been getting settled into the area quite nicely. I just started going out with this girl who lives in Lincoln which is about an hour from the base. I just got back from a LOOONNNGGG night there ;-)

She is about as insane as I am. It works rather nicely.

It was pretty awesome. She is coming up to the base later this week.

Well, good new job wise is that we are going to 8 hour shifts on the 15th. NO MORE 14 HOUR SHIFTS FTW.

That I am on the night flight now. Nights are awesome! FTW AGAIN!

Man, never thought I would see the day that SF would be on 8 hour shifts. Damn... Haha.

So what are all you fuckers doing?

    • I'm alive.

Just been busy as fuck man. Between work, work, work, and sleep... I don't get on much.

Being a cop is mostly boring, but we mess with each other to make up for it.

Let's see, I have arrested one wifebeater at the gate. That was... violent :-D.

And last night I got a DUI. That was violent too. Fucker about broke my nose. Get got a date with the road for his trouble, though.

    • So yeah. I made it.

Air Force BMT was fun. It was hard. But, I liked it. Done and over with now.

I am about 2 1/2 weeks into Security Forces Training now. I love it! It's so kickass. I'll put pics up sooner or later. Depends on when I will have the time.

I got my orders too. Fucking Nebraska. Offutt AFB. Wiskey Tango Foxtrot!? Oh well. Who cares, I am an Airman!

As for the injuries, I currently have two very fucked up feet(They tingle all the time. Low circulation), A fucked up knee(Dunno why), and a seriously fucked up ankle(It holds a shit load of fluid). I still keep training though. Ain't none of that shit stopping me. Hooah!

But yeah, I am sorry it took this fucking long to update. Been busy as hell. Later, freaks.

    • Off I go.

I leave for Air Force BMT Monday. Wish me luck, guys!

Talk to you around Mid June!

      Updates...

      1. Boot date got changed from March 13th to March 3. Been a huge call up for Security Forces. Looks like I go sooner. Horrah(Not really).

2.GF has that new strain of flu. That really bad one. Well, I took care of her, and now I fucking got it(I think). Horrah.

      That's it really.
      Talk to you apes later.

“There is no such thing as Anarchy. In every group of people there is some kind of pecking order. Someone to take charge and someone to follow…â€Â

      -Casey Schmidt

“That’s a new one.†Kregier thought as he looked up to the lone marksman. The man pointed past Kregier with alarm. Kregier looked over his shoulder. A squad of Coalition a few blocks away. Kregier dove behind the APC just as the troops opened fire. Bullets pinged off the armor in a strange melody. The sniper opened fire. It was like a thunderclap. He heard a call of “MAN DOWN!†from the British. The sniper fired again as Kreiger leaned out from behind the APC to let out burst from his rifle. Just as he did, he heard the characteristic sound of a grenade launcher being fired. It landed in the ground right under the corner of the APC. The APC ate up all the shrapnel, but the concussion sent Kregier reeling. Kregier dropped his rifle as he fell on his ass. The sniper fired again. Kregier got up double-timed it back towards the building the sniper sat on. Kregier wondered if he had pitched a tent there and chuckled. He used a car as cover to draw his sidearm. He looked to the right down the street and saw another large squad of soldiers there. They hadn’t seen him yet, but that would not last long.

He noticed the soldiers were going the wrong way, they weren’t coming towards the shooting, they were running the other way. He also noticed the fire from the previous squad has stopped. Kregier double-timed it up the stairs of the building and to the roof of the building. It was a post office, and unsent mail littered the building. He found the ladder access. He hated ladders. Death traps. Kregier groaned. Kregier went up the ladder as quietly as he could. He popped the hatch and bounded through the opening with a grunt. He landed on his feet and his weapon was on the sniper in an instant.

      “I am Lieutenant Kilroy.

The sniper trained his rifle on the ground in the least threatening stance possible. His skin looked Arabian, his hair was dark, and he wore digital cammies that probably needed to be special ordered because of the man’s height. He spoke perfect English, though.

“Lieutenant? You’re military?†Kregier asked quizzically, pistol still on the sniper.

“United States Army.†He replied. Kregier looked around and gave a small smirk. He did have a lean-to tent.

“Pitching a tent, soldier? Seesh, camper.†Kregier said and lowered his handgun. The clouds were darkening and lightening flashed in the background.

“Shit, this is nothing! Wait till you meet The Gunny. We gotta run, this place is up to get bombed in a few. Notice the Euro pussies running away? It wasn’t cause of your awesome fighting skills, believe me.†He replied and Kregier grunted in response. Kilroy slung his M24 rifle and fished out his handgun. “Fuck the tent, we gotta get the fuck out. Head towards the mountains, I’ll be right behind you.†Kilroy said. A jet blasted overhead. “GO!†he bellowed as the first bombs fell. Kregier ran towards the edge and not the stairs. He vaulted off of the rim of the building and sailed over the thin alley. He landed on the fire escape of the nearby apartment building. Kilroy cursed and jumped himself, just barely making it, but smacking his head on the fire escape. He cursed again.

The air strikes continued as they ran down the fire escape. Militants and people alike ran in terror. After a few very scary minutes they were out of the city and in the mountains. Kilroy caught up after twenty minutes of hiking in a large, semi-flat wooded area.

“Stop here and look really hard. See anything?â€Â

      “Nothing at all.†Kregier replied.

“Good.†Kilroy said and whistled. A bush moved and got taller. Kregier’s eyes went wide and his hand went to his handgun.

“I wou'n't do dat if was you.†Kregier heard from behind and felt a suppressor on the back of his neck. “Now, put up yuh han's, nice 'n' slow like.†The voice said in a curious accent. Kregier did nothing. The bush in front of him had his rifle trained on what had to be his head. Kregier was sure he wouldn’t miss.

“I would do what he says, if you were smart, princess.†The bush said in an middle aged man’s voice. Kregier did nothing. “Right. Corporal…†the bush said again and Kregier felt a pistol butt hit the back of his head. He blacked out.

Things are going swimmingly with Alex and I. We are back to the way we were when we first started going out. We went caroling at the VA Saturday... Alex, myself, and a bus load of other people. It was kinda sad... but... Happy I did it, after all, the vets were.

Christmas is going to be a drag... just another day... Whee.

Ordered UT 2004. 3 years late, I know. Get over it.

Got some ColdGear Tactical gloves from UnderArmour. Also ordered 5 OD Green GI t-shirts.

iPod went through the wash and dry cycle. Dead. For good. It's been over two weeks. Nothing. Dead. Shit. Thinking about getting a Nano. Dunno.

      MERRY CHRISTMAS, BITCHES!

    • tomii

      Now, some advice for BMT:

      1) Do *exactly* what you're told. No matter how stupid it may seem. They are teaching you to take orders, and to do the very basic stuff that you've been doing all your life, only *their* way.

      2) Don't think too much about why things are done the way they're done. You will rarley find a time during BMT when it's OK to ask questions. When you do have that opportunity, make sure it's not a stupid question, as this will be one of the times when you will have the opportunity to learn something interesting/useful.

      3) You *will* cry. Maybe not out loud, but inside. Don't feel bad about it, don't think you're a waste, just remember what I'm saying here. *everybody* does it in one form or another.

      4) You *will* be lonely for a bit. *very* lonely. As much as you may hate your family, or think they hate you, this is the first time you will be away from them, *knowing* that there's no way you can see them again, short of failure. (for a while, anyhoo).

      5) BMT cannot be described. It's different every time somebody goes through it (I know a couple people who have gone through multiple times, for various reasons). It will be the hardest (however many) weeks of your life. It is there to prepare you for potentially worse things to come - remember, you're going into a career that can put you in harm's way, and this is the training of the fundamentals.

      6) Part of what they are trying to teach you is teamwork. But don't be too eager to get the team going. You will be amidst many different personalities that have never had to be self-reliant before, and you will all have to be *BROKEN* before you can be put back together as a team. If teamleadership is handed to you, take it & go with it. If it is not, *DO NOT* seak it out. It sets up a bad dynamic for the team - too gung ho is something frowned upon by everyone, and envied by many - it makes you a target for the TI/DI, but also for the "team." They fuck up, and it's *YOUR* fault. That's the problem with leadership - taking the heat for shit you had no part in.

      7) KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT AND LISTEN! Use your ears at every opportunity.

      8) Do your level best at every task given to you. Do no more than was asked, unless it was to make something cleaner (given that you have the time). On the other hand, do not set high expectations. Undersell yourself, so they think you're doing good when you do average.

      9) DO NOT VOLUNTEER FOR ANYTHING - the first day you get there, they're gonna sit everybody down & ask a bunch of questions (e.g. "who likes to bowl?") They're looking for volunteers to do bullshit tasks (like shoe/bed-liner - you'll understand soon enough)

Those were in no specific order, and I know I'm missing some stuff. Take it all to heart.

      Good luck.

Hang on... I'll see if I can find the advice I gave someone else when they were headed off to BMT...

Whack your shaving cream really hard on the floor, creating a flat spot down the side. This will keep it from rolling around when your TI opens your drawer.

See, if it's not *exactly* placed, you'll get a demerit.

The more I see the Macs, the more I like. My friend bought a Macbook and I thought it was pretty nifty, but recently we've been working on video projects in school and our media productions class uses 15 Mac Pros. Now that I've been forced to use them, I really really like them. I think I'm gonna settle for a mid-line Macbook instead of the Macbook Pro though. Money is a big issue.

I would never abandon my PC though. I love my PC; I've customized the shit out of it.

Its cool, just frustrating when people mix up uniforms, not necessarily anyones fault but i hate being called a Marine and i know Marines hate being called Soldiers. I personally think the Uniform is ok but definitely not worth the Cost to switch uniforms and all of our gear over.

    • NUCC

ACUs were inspired by MARPAT, developed a while ago. But, the ones he is wearing, are completely ACU, the velcro, the layout, the rank, the shades. Trust me. Im surrounded by Marines and Soldiers where i am. I have ACU's, BDU's and if you gave me 2 minutes to walk down the hall, could grab different patterns of MARPAT. he has ACUs, they probably do not even have the IR patch on there. Mine are all genuine US gov issue.

    • NUCC

Here is why i know it is not urban. The army has graced me with 6 pairs of ACUs and forced me to wear them, i know the uniform inside and out. Note the velcro + rank patch on his chest, ACUs, not MARPAT. Yes the ACU design was inspired by urban MARPAT but he was not wearing it, trust me.

There's no law against militia. There's probably a law now against doing what the militia in Tennessee did back then.

And there's also the people in government who don't want militia and they'll infiltrate the unit and arrest somebody for conspiracy to over throw the government when they were doing no such thing.
