I don't know if anyone still reads this, but... Tonight was a friend's birthday, so we went out for a few drinks and, as usual, alcohol has made me talkative...

I'm dating the most amazing person I've ever met and I'm incredibly happy. She's fucking awesome. (Yeah, SHE.) I met her about two months ago. She's a cop, which is totally awesome. I'm pretty crazy about her.

So, anyway, yeah, that's what's been going on with me. Other than that... I'm two finals from graduating law school. Rock. I'm so ready to be done!

      How are you guys?

    • I did it.

      SarahJr

      I bought...

      a Mac.

It should be here in about 10 days and, from what all my mac-lovin' friends say, I have no idea how much my life will improve.

It was, however, pricey. Will you guys please come visit me in the cardboard box I'll be forced to move into? And, just to warn, I might be sporting one of those barrels with the straps.

    • My mind is blown.

The whole Bernie Madoff thing. Um... WOW.

      Story Here.

I can't comprehend the ability of someone to live, day after day, with the amount of stress that must necessarily accompany the loss of $50 billion of someone else's money.

Also.. the SEC? Really? For 15 years, the SEC visited this guy's office, the situs of the largest ponzi scheme ever perpetrated, and noticed... nothing? The fact that this guy's accountant was, essentially, Bob the Accountant operating out of a 15 by 18 room in upstate New York didn't raise any red flags?

      Just... wow.

    • Procrastination.

So, I'm considering switching from a P.C. to a Mac, mainly because I feel like they just work better and I'm infuriated with my current computers. Also, Macs are pretty. And for some reason, I feel like this is a major life decision,

      so...

      should I?

      I'm feeling some stress.

My (fake) jury trial is tomorrow.

And I'm having computer problems of the re-installation of the operating system kind.

      Wish me luck.

I do a lot of moving stuff to storage with that car... and I can say that I can fit in a lot more than you'd ever imagine. They feel roomy when you are just driving around as well, and they are convertibles. Not that I've really had the chance to use that feature.

I'm definitely looking forward to taking her to more Cards games. The fact that her first was a Cards v Cubs game made it all the better. Some girl in front of us tried to put a cubs hat on her, and some wasted chick next to me snatched it and said "I don't think we need to do that!"

reagan was a bastard like that.

i just saw that you like "run lola run". i never got to see it. scared i wouldn't like it. but it was good? i mean, clearly you'll say yes, but what really made it good? i'm trying to convince myself to watch it someday, haha

so I just read your journal and was reminded that you are in law school, so maybe the chick with the far superior mohawk makes far superior wages than I.
      (I still like me)

    • egonspengler

Yea, I don't usually spend the time to do a spike mohawk. They look cool, and all, but not for the amount of work involved. You have to gel each spike separately and blow dry it. I don't have time to be that cool, lol. Besides, I bet she doesn't have a mohawk AND make over $50k a year...
