Well... I'm FU today.
First time in nearly 12 years.
The only thing I can think to say is, I just wish they would bring back the star permanently so I can post again.

So for those who don't know, I deal with a fair amount of musical projects as well as being quite the audiophile. Lately I was happy to expand my gear with a new MFX petal-board and the bass I've been in search of for upwards of 7 years. But today isn't about that.
It's about playback!
So for around a year and a half now I have owned a set of Audio-Technica ATH-M50x's, super well balanced and fantastic set of closed back studio monitor headphones. And as great as they have been, I've always had one gripe and that was the earcups. They're made of a well crafted pleather sort of material, and while very soft and immersive because of the ability to create a well made seal around the ears, anything more than an hour and I feel my head getting hot and sweaty.
Well I finally looked into it and found a set of replacement cups that are just like 30outa10gameoftheyeareveryyear status.
The Shure HPAEC940 Velour replacement cups, while made for the Shure SRH940's fit PERFECTLY on the ATH-M50 and ATH-M50x's. Not only is it an identical fit to the speaker housing, they have a slightly wider and higher diameter for ear clearance so everything feels SUPER spacey inside as well as just... oh so sooofffttt and comfortable... IT'S REAL VELOUR LEELA!!!
I know I'm adverting out to a very niche market out there, but if anybody out there should be looking for a set of softer muffs for this headset, hopefully this throws a little light your way. You don't have to settle when it comes to comfort, and I wish I'd bought these day one. And for how much time I spend in these headphones a day, let alone a week (probably close to 100 hours), I'm sad I waited. For $17.95, quality of life is up miles now.
I'm trying to do more journals, so maybe in the future one on the new guitar and MFX system will be due. I'd like to get a few recordings down with some tweaked setups and distortions before really having anything to show for sure. But hey, it's a start.

Today August 31'st of 2015 marks 10 years to the day of officially joining the Rooster Teeth family. It's been a long 10 years, seen a lot of faces, had thousands and thousands of discussions. Friends I had have come and gone, some of them the best I had. But since then I have made many more personal and long lasting friendships just in the past 4 years. And I think I have finally found my weird, niche family that I want to grow old with visiting and seeing well into adulthood.
I think if memory serves correctly there have been 5 restructures on the site since then, the rise and fall of a few shows, some great, and some terrible. But the expansion of a company that I think about and are a part of every single day of my life in many capacities, there's something special there. The community. It always has been the community in my eyes. The conventions are fantastic and fun, the meetups and parties are great, but at the core, the people there are the reason I do any of it in the first place. I won't get too ooey gooey in the private details and tears, but my friends mean everything to me... everyone reading this right now, YOU mean everything to me.
... Except you... Yes you in the back... You can go home...
10 Years... I was just a week away from senior year in HS when I made this profile. And the dumb thing is I waited a few years to even make it. I could have been sub 3K if i jumped on when I first found the old forums, but if it means everything I know would be different then I wouldn't change a thing. Everything turned out great :)
It's been a great 10, and here's to the next 10.
Love you all,
