I completely missed my 10 year anniversary on this site... Just noticed that in less than a month I'll have been here 12 years. That's... awhile. Wow!

So, I bought Mass Effect 1 & 2 for $15 each on Amazon.com... I have a feeling that when they get to me on Monday, it'll be something like this:

I hate to sound like everyone else who is whining about the revised version of this site, but I guess no matter how I word it, I'm gonna. I've been here for 5 years because this site is different from Facebook, Myspace, and Google+... now it seems like they're playing "follow the leader".

RT may have over 2 million users now, but from what I've seen in the past year, they seem to be losing their oldest fans. When I first joined, there were no ads, the mod point system helped forums "self-moderate" against trolls, and the people who created the place made a really good machinima series.

None of the above are true anymore.

I'll give it a little time to grow on me, just like I did with the Delta revision (that I never really got used to), but I'm really thinking that it's time for me to call it quits here.

My online friends care about me more than my "real life" friends.

I've had more hits on my blog from my journal here than I have from the links I posted on Facebook. I really just have to laugh at this.

Okay, I know that's not a REAL indicator of how my friends feel about me, but I HAVE had a few other instances that lead me to that same conclusion.

So, I've been trying to sell my Xbox and all the accessories and games on Craigslist, and this one lady (at least, the name indicated that it was a lady) sends me an email asking what the last price was. I had only posted it once before, and I didn't change the price, so I replied with the current price ($350), and asked her to clarify what she meant (I was smelling "scam" at this point, but I wasn't totally sure).

She sends me an email back saying:

Hello no problem about the price i will be offering you $450 including the shipping expenses to my cousin because am out of state and i will not be able to pick it up.. I will be paying you cash through my paypal account, so get back to me with your Paypal email address so that i can send the payment as soon as possible and if you don't have paypal you can easily set up one at www.paypal.com because its very safe and secure..Thanks.. Waiting for you to get back to me asap.

Yeah, definitely scam, so I reply back

"Wow... do people still fall for this scam?"

And I got yet another reply back, saying:

      "Oh yeah, all the time!"

      Wow...

Cory, we need to talk sometime, lol. I feel like its been forever. Just been reminiscing about how I have made such good friends on here, and how I never really express it. Thanks for the insight from time to time, you guys here know when I need to hear advice, and you put it in ways I understand and can relate with.

Sweet thanks!! I figure since I'm out of work and feeling craftsy I could give them a shot. Give them away for birthdays and other gift giving holidays. Or sell them on etsy if I'm decent at it. lol

I like wordpress. It's layout is very straight forward. There was one thing at the beginning that I had to actually search to find and now that I'm trying to think about it, I can't remember what that was... I think it was just an account setting thing... It has a good grammar and spell checker, and it lets you link it to a couple other accounts like Yahoo, Facebook, and LinkedIn so those sites will post that you updated your blog. It tells you how many views you've had and who referred the views, and if the view was from a search engine, it'll tell you what search terms were used to find your post/blog. Overall, I really like wordpress, but I haven't used any other blogging service to compare it to really.

From a pure multiplayer standpoint, BC2 is in every way better than MW2. It has unlocks, ranks, etc. as MW2 does. The combat system is more tactical based in BC2 whereas in MW2 the guy that finds the best camping spots and gets the highest killing sprees will win the game for his team. A good MW2 player knows that to completely dominate, you sit in a good camping spot and wait...and wait...and wait. Slowly racking up kills is the name of the game. BC2 is way more fast paced and team-oriented. You work with people to take objectives, blow up buildings to give yourself cover and remove hiding spots for the enemy team, etc.

I guess it's just what you want out of a game. To me, BC2 has 10x more depth. The single player isn't half bad either. MW2 was all marketing, and Infinity Ward has really killed their reputation with it in the gaming community. :(

I'm thinking about painting my old white one because it's also broken. Same problem as yours had, actually. Might as well paint it a cool color while I have it apart, when I get around to getting the laser.

I'm thinking a matte dark blue, maybe.

Or I might paint it with chalkboard paint. That's something I don't think anyone has done yet.

I don't think they'd pick one of the "regs" (oh no!) because they're afraid they would be lenient on the regs and not treat everyone equally, as should be done. And that would be fine with me. Cause then someone new coming in would see a regular poster as a mod and would see that as unfair.

I sent dark54555 a message asking about how Pixie is allowed to be a forum mod if she hasn't been online in a year. Not in any rude tone of course. Don't want to get on the bad side of a site admin. But we do need a forum mod for the Lopez Garage that is actually going to be there if we need him/her.

Yeah, that one escaped me until I was putting the thing back together. I think I managed to put it back the right way. My biggest problem is the fact that I ran the idle mixture screws all the way in, and now it won't run once the fast idle cam disengages. Should be a simple fix, as soon as it quits raining.

The slotted vs drilled rotors thing is more of an opinion thing, I think. Just thought I'd put my two cents in.

As for the carb, it's one of the computer-controlled jobs. Off of an L69 in an '84 Trans Am.

It is all good man...I just hate the misconceptions for the asian cars vs american. People don't understand Japanese cars are built stronger to be fuel efficient, which is an age old problem they have faced far longer than us. To solve the problem of the fuel crisis in the 70's Chevy and Ford made alliances to get fuel efficient engines. Where Ford later bought Mazda....but now I am off on a tangent. It is all good man. I just love American cars.

Only way id get a high rise is if it wasnt my DD. Since it is im keeping the engine and i know for a fact i can get this engine to a good 300-350whp with the right care and parts and still keep it street legal. Thats my route for now.

    • HaloHero23

Thats the plan, however if the funds are available id like to get a TPI 383 not a carb imo. In either case the hood looks good, and extra clearance wont hurt lol

    • HaloHero23

I figured i get one while i can. I still want to keep the engine a 350 while its my DD. Once its not ill need that clearance for a 383.

I've been going to tractor shows since I was two weeks old. I grew up around this stuff so its second nature to me. My Grandpa has a bunch of antique tractors in various states of restoration. I started driving tractors when I was 5 or 6. I should be living on a farm, not in suburbia.

    • stlranger

I may sit on it for a couple years. Do some work with it here and there. Mostly take it to shows. I need to get a bigger truck and trailer before I start taking it to shows though. My uncle's trailer is kinda small for this one. Tractor is too wide to fit on his trailer. But its got a good strong three point on it and they hyrdraulics work on it so its possible to do some work with it when need be. He's got a culvert in his back yard that is getting kinda small for the amount of houses that are being built up stream from him. Whenever it rains somewhat hard, his culvert overflows and washes the rock off. Need to widen it and add a second culvert pipe to withstand the water.

Lol I figured you were just kidding but that was the logic behind not a segway or bike. lol

    • maverickgtr

Segways present the same problem as bikes, they're a bitch to lock and unlock between classes. And a lock is completely necessary as UTA is constantly plagued by bike thieves. One of my friends has had two bikes stolen and they were locked to the rack... I've considered a longboard skateboard though...

      Go to the store.

      NOW.

Hofbrau beer [if you can find it, if not any imported German beer that's not too dark and it'll look foggy cuz there should be a little bit of yeast-ish stuff in it and that's authentic German beer made under the German beer law recipe.] and sauerkraut. Cook the brats in half a beer til they're mostly done then dump out the beer put in the sliced white onion, and the sauerkraut and cook til the brats are brown and the onions are see through.

      It's sooo daaamn taaaaaaaaassssstyyyyyyy.......

Yes, thats where the 2 stage boost controller would come in, then i can wire up a switch, hit a button, and do a quick retune and I can have a high boost map. But, thats going to cost about $30 to $60 (depending how I do it), and I don't want to spend that much in case it doesn't work. Otherwise yes, I can turn it back down, which is the plan.
