Gas shortages galore out here. My house got power back the other day, around 1pm I think. Now the majority of the problem is the downed trees and power lines. Shit's crazy.

Very fortunate to be doing very well. Really only problem is getting tired of being stuck inside and weary of the gas shortages. But overall just fine.

How about you and yours on LI?

BBQ is going to be later this year, looks like the 2nd weekend in August. Why don't you get the NY group together and come on out to the countryside?! smiley1.gif

Yeah, I've been tempted to get it for the PC too to experience the 64 players but right now I'm content with my X-Box.

They should never have released it to a crowd of people who didn't understand what the term beta means lol

      Nah, no I haven't no.

Sad loss at the Malaysian Grand Prix. What did you think of this season of MotoGP?

    • SpiderWolve

IW helped with Black Ops MP, and I still hated it.

The Modern Warfare campaigns require a huge suspension of disbelief. I had a hard time not poking holes in the story when I was playing through it even tho I was thoroughly enjoying it.

    • SpiderWolve

lol, that's why I have yet to pick up Forza 4.

And I'm picking up MW3 just for the campaign story, otherwise I'll be incredibly put out and irritated with the multiplayer after BF3.

Happened to me during the beta. Beta was over and I needed my FPS fix and hopped on Black Ops and I absolutely hated it.

    • SpiderWolve

I'm willing to bet EA bungled it. The FPS market isn't really there thing.

And yes, go get it! You'll have a blast!

    • SpiderWolve

It should have been Beta'd like a couple months ago for sure, but yeah, the issues the beta had are not there in the final product.

Still incredibly addicting tho...if you want to count that as an issue smiley6.gif

lol, I answered you but you must not be using the new profile with the inline replies to comments.

Never got the chance to play BC2, but it is really good. And the Beta was a Beta for a reason (haven't we been over this? lol) but comparitively, the finished product is 100x better. Howeever I have read around from alot of people that it is comparable. I just know it's a lot of fun. Being able to destroy buildings and rooting out campers is awesome.

BF3 seems to be good. I didn't play the beta, so I don't know much about its problems. My main issue is that I seem to be bad at it, with the exception of the one amazing game. I feel like there are some balance issues to be worked out, but nothing game breaking. I find it fun.

There are also some cool features you just don't see in other games. For example, if you repeatedly his a tank in the treads with your RPG, you'll disable it, leaving it able to fire but unable to move, and about one hit away from a huge explosion.

Indoors, you can shoot out lights to make it harder for the enemy to see you, which comes in handy when defending an objective. The other team once had to basically take the whole building down because my team was so well hidden when protecting the objective. I suspect telling you this is a bad idea, because I haven't seen anyone else do this and I might be the first.

I'd rate the game pretty highly, and I guess I'd rate it better if I was any good. There's still no auto-balance, so you can end up with a 12-on-6 game if a bunch of people leave, and the teams can be totally uneven skill-wise.

I think IGN has it's console video review up, so take a look at that for more info.

yes it is electronic engineering technology. integrated circuits and such. and yeah, i know, need that algebra and trig, but i think it all goes a little to far to the point where its just math for the hell of it rather than what will actually ever be used. so far most of the math ive needed was basic stuff and the teacher in engineering taught us that stuff lol.

Also, I like shiny things. I look forward to playing the campaign again with the nicer visuals. I played through all the games before Reach came out. I may play through Reach again before Anniversary comes out. The back story to the game is perhaps the most compelling fiction of any game I think I've ever played. Especially when you get to the Terminals. I look forward to the new terminals perhaps more than anything. The books are good to, for the most part.

Plus, new achievements! And the fact that Kristen is the queen of Halo multiplayer.

that game was in 2009, but the video is from 2010? anyways, auburn games are one of the most exciting things i've ever experienced. i don't care about all the america fuck yeah stuff, but i do enjoy the crowd and all the excitement! it's brilliant. racing has some silly hoopla involved, too. and futbol for that matter.

      i like stephen fry, though.

I related with all of those points. The assessment only took me a couple of minutes and the pdf that site links to is missing some info. Basically you count the number of 'trues' you get and, the more you have, the more introverted you tend to be. After reading a bit about the book, I think I'm going to see if a Borders around here has it and if it's on crazy sale yet, mostly because the author gets into the biochemical differences between extroverts and introverts, and that's something I'd like to learn more about.
