      Hey all,

Since I've come back from midterm break 3 weeks ago its been flat out at uni for me, and it seems its only gonna get more difficult from here. So many assignments due and with finals coming up im gonna be swamped with studying. But, come the 13th of May ill be finished for the summer and hopefully can work even harder at learning how to animate. Although its gonna be tough the future is exciting, i look forward to it despite knowing that difficulties lie ahead.

      Stay cool,

    • Just want to say a few things...

      Hey everyone,

It's been a really long time since I last made a journal entry and I can't say why, I think I've just been so caught up in the university experience that I just never seemed to have time to sit back and write one. Its been a really eventful year or so since my last entry. I'm now about halfway through the second semester of my second year studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Edinburgh. I've met tonnes of new friends here and have loved every minute. I had doubts at first, but I think that was more homesickness than anything else. However, I am going to try some new things for the next few years. Having always been a huge fan of RT and especially their animated shows, I recently felt this kind of inspiration to try and teach myself how to animate. I have a friend who took some time to do this and his stuff is just amazing. Ever since watching the great animation in RvB and RWBY I felt like I wanted to be a part of something like that. As a fan, and I'm sure so many others feel the same. working for RT is a huge dream of mine. But now, I feel really motivated to actually start working at it and making some changes in my life. I'd talked about it before but never really took it further.

RT and AH etc are all amazing people, the content they produce is always hilarious and with new shows and ideas constantly coming theres never any reason to be bored. I have the utmost respect and admiration for all the staff who work day in day out to bring us funny and awesome content. They are truly inspiring, particularly for me the folks who work on RWBY and RvB, as well as other animated shows, the hard work and dedication these folks have to produce such amazing stuff is truly breathtaking and it can be seen so evidently in the final product. While I'm on the topic of RWBY I wanna pay a special tribute the late, great Monty Oum. Monty, you were truly a genius and visionary, you changed the way I looked at anime and even the world, and to see this great vision of yours pan out on screen is truly an honour, you would be proud of the amazing work the RWBY team has done with your creation, they have faithfully carried on telling the story of some of my favourite characters ever and long may they do so. RIP Monty you were a true artist.

Hopefully this updates everyone enough on the direction I'm taking in life at the moment, I love being part of such an amazing community and I look forward to what the future holds for me, and for Rooster Teeth.

      Thanks for reading,

      Eoghan

(P.S. I'll try to do this more often, hopefully I may be able to share some work on here when I get to that stage, you guys are awesome, stay cool.)

    • Uni so far...

      Hey all,
Its been a pretty different few months since I last made a journal entry, I am now approaching the end of my first semester studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Edinburgh and I have to say I've enjoyed myself immensely so far, I've met tons of new friends and had some great experiences, gotta say though that RT and AH etc have helped through some tough times here, missing my family etc. The shows have kept me entertained and the podcasts feel like a weekly check in with some friends. I also still wanna make RTX but due to me being a very poor student, I don't think that's gonna be possible. I wish everyone the best for any exams you may have coming like I do, have fun in whatever you are doing and always remember you've got this great community behind you if you ever feel alone.
      till next time,
      Eoghan

P.s. Any rooster teeth fans living in Edinburgh hit me up if you like.

      All the best,

Got back from my holiday to berlin last night and I have to say it was phenomenal, loved every bit. But now onto slightly more important news, I got my exam results back today and I'm delighted to say I've got a place in university, I'm going to university of Edinburgh in Scotland to study chemical engineering. Hopefully it all goes well and maybe I'll meet some fellow rooster teeth fans over there, if any Rt fans who live in Edinburgh see this, don't hesitate to add me or message me and we can talk.
      Stay awesome everyone!!! smiley9.gifsmiley0.gifsmiley0.gif

Hi guys, I'm still in Germany for a couple more days and I have to say it's been amazing so far, I've loved everything about berlin and some of the historical tours I've been on were very interesting and great experiences. I've just uploaded a small album of photos from my trip so far including the harrowing experience and sachsenhausen concentration camp north of berlin, will be going back home to Ireland on Wednesday and I'll be sad to leave berlin behind but am glad to be going home also. I'll post another journal on Wednesday and I get my exam results on Thursday (wish me luck!) so I'll probably do another one then. Until then,

    • What is rooster teeth to you?

What does rooster teeth mean to you, how did you find them and what is it that you enjoy most about being on this site?
I found rooster teeth about a year ago when I started watching red vs blue again having not seen past season one way back in 2003 and I immediately was hooked again. The stories, characters and animations of red vs blue are truly amazing.
Rooster teeth and AH have always entertained me and in times where I've needed a pick me up, rt and ah have always been there to provide with more awesome and hilariously funny content.
What I enjoy most about being on this site is the fantastic community, this really is the best one on the internet, everyone loves rooster teeth and so there's nobody who you don't have something in common with, I love how enthusiastic the community is an how well everyone responds to events and all the content rt and ah put out. RTX is something I really want to do next year, be it as a fan or a guardian, because I just want to meet other community members and talk to other people who share a love I have for something.

    • Most favourite book to film adaptations

So I saw a thread asking people what their least favourite book to film adaptations were and thought I'd ask the opposite, what are peoples favourite book to film adaptations.
Mine has got to be lord of the rings or the tv series (I know it's not quite film but kind of is) band of brothers. Both for me are among the best pieces of filmmaking I've ever seen.(my opinion of course). I think band of brothers especially was executed so damn well and really made you connected to the individual stories of all the soldiers. It was both epic and intimate in parts and really showed you some of the gritty realities of war. I still go back and rematch the whole series in marathons just because I love the acting, effects and everything they've put in to it. It really is a fantastic show and if you haven't watched it, and don't mind violence and some ogre occasionally, you definitely should, you won't regret it.

What are your favourite book to film adaptations and why?

    • Off to Germany...

So, tomorrow morning I'm jetting off to berlin for a 2 week holiday, now hopefully I'll be able to update while I'm there but there's a high chance I won't be able to, which means I'll miss 2 rwby, RvB and podcast episodes along with countless other videos. I'll try and take some pictures and videos to post on here for people to see. As this may be my last journal entry for 2 weeks I wanna say a temporary goodbye to everyone and hope I can come back with plenty of interesting and funny stories to tell you all.
See you in two weeks guys!
