It took me long enough, but I finally completed the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion earlier today! I greatly enjoyed TES4: Skyrim, so I thought I would enjoy Oblivion almost as much. As it turned out, I HATED Oblivion early on, but I began to enjoy it by the end. At 1:42 PM of December 28, 2013, I earned the 110G achievement "Champion of Cyrodil" by completing the main quest. That's right, I went through all the guilds and the entirety of Shivering Isles before completing the main story. This completion started on March 16, 2013 and took me 287 to earn 100% achievements.
That's one more game to add to the completed column, now I can continue on Fallout 3, NHL 14, GTA V, Bully, and Assassin's Creed 4. No shortage of Xbox games for me.

Yep. It's still awful, and I'm STILL trying to get through it. I've put in/wasted over 2 days worth of time into this poorly aged game, yet I continue to go back to it in hopes of completing it. At least GTA IV is good at keeping me occupied and away from the Elder Scrolls IV...

Ah, it's good to be home. I recently returned from a 10-day trip to Brazil for World Youth Day 2013. The trip was exciting and full of adventure that I will remember for years to come. Some high points include:

      '¢A 9-hour flight followed by a 7-hour bus ride
'¢Drinking Guaraná (possibly the greatest soda I've ever consumed)
      '¢Witnessing 2 gang fights
'¢Going to a traditional Brazilian restaurant and watching soccer/football (no referee decapitations this time!)
'¢Meeting people from over 75 countries around the world
'¢Hearing and witnessing the fact that the entire country looks like a Call of Duty map
'¢Buying a 2 liter bottle of Guaraná and drinking it in one day
      '¢Drinking out of a coconut
'¢Giving the shirt off my back to some Brazilian guy in exchange for a soccer jersey
'¢Giving the shirt off my back to some Canadian people in exchange for their flag (I later did the same to acquire a Brazilian flag and once more for a Venezuelan flag)
'¢Dancing on the beach with Brazilians and being I should never dance again (I thought I did pretty well)
'¢Finding a TV show called "Sexy Carwash" (it's essentially hot girls washing nice cars for 30 minutes. It's pretty sweet)
      '¢MORE GUARANÃ
'¢Freaking out on a plane at 1 AM because I was the only one awake and thought the plane was traveling 2500 MPH (I was really tired at this point)
'¢Visiting Christ the Redeemer (it was cloudy, so I could only get photos of his feet)

      And especially...

      '¢Seeing Pope Francis

The entire trip was fantastic, easily the best travel experience I ever had. Hopefully I can return sometime in the future. "Viva Brasil!"

"You know what the best kind of achievements are in the world, Jack? FREE and EASY achievements."
      -- Geoff Ramsey, 2010
While Geoff wasn't talking about Crash Course 2, his quote fits the description of the game fairly well. On May 20, 2013 at 6:58 pm, I finished Doritos Crash Course 2. The game's achievements were indeed free and easy -- 28 out 28 achievements (400G/400G) took me only 7 days. I downloaded this game mostly as a break for Oblivion. Next week, I'm having surgery done so I'll be recuperating while playing Oblivion (the gameplay will probably be more painful that the surgery) .

If there's one thing I hate about my house, it's how poor of an internet signal I get to my room. My wireless router is in the basement, and my room is on the second floor on the other side of the house. Due to the range of the router, electronics in my room can barely connect -- especially when I'm on my bed. From my observations (from numerous tests), I have concluded that the outer edge of my router's range is somewhere between the floor and the top of my bed. Whenever I watch a video on my phone, it won't buffer unless I dangle my arm over the side of the bed. I must look like an idiot when I do it.

A bit of delay in typing this out, but better late than never, right? At 5:44 of May 2, 2013, I finally completed Assassin's Creed III for good. My previous time completing this game lasted only about 10 minutes until new achievements were listed, but this is official now. The retail game was fairly good (not the best nor the worst IMO), the multiplayer is the best in the series so far, and the DLC wasn't as good as I thought it would be. 64/64 achievements and 1350/1350 G. Current gamerscore: 23070 G. Time to finish up Oblivion, ugh.

About a month ago, I completed the original retail achievements for Assassin's Creed 3. At 11:24 PM of April 13, 2013, I fully completed the game for 61/61 achievements and 1265/1265 G. AC3 is the third Assassin's Creed game in which I've 100%-ed; the other two both are the numbered titles. However, something weird happened. Only 11 minutes after earning the final achievement, the new achievements for the final DLC were released. I only had 100% for 10 minutes, and that's a bust.

At least Connor is happy for my short-lived success.

Success! I finally completed Portal 2's "Still Alive" achievement completely solo! At 4:32 of March 25, 2013 Portal 2 was officially completed to 1000/1000G (50/50 achievements). It was 240 days since my last achievement, 561 days since the achievement before that, and 696 days since my first. Portal 2 is my 8th 100% retail completion.

Foe the past year, my achievements in Portal 2 have been stagnant at 49/50 completed. The final achievement, Still Alive, is a multiplayer achievement and rated as one of the hardest to earn. I friend and I have tried about 30 times before we both gave up. While the achievement is multiplayer related, I've been attempting it alone recently. That's right: just me and two controllers. It's going okay so far, I've completed the first 3 puzzles perfectly as well as the 2 final (and excruciatingly difficult) puzzles. All I've got to work on is doing it all without dying and another completed game will be under my belt.

Last night at 10:56 PM (3/2/13), I added another completion to my achievement repertoire. While I didn't earn a 100% total in Assassin's Creed 3, I did complete the original batch of achievements. In order to get the full experience of a 100%, I need to dish out 800 MS points for the Battle-Hardened Multiplayer DLC -- a cost I'm not willing to pay yet. Until then though, my Assassin's Creed 3 gamerscore sits at 1090 G out of a possible 1190 G. I'm still not sure I should add this to my "Compelted Games" count...

      067JD.gif Boom. Main achievements done.
