I start to wonder how many people tend to forget about their past and only care about what is going on today. The Xbox One was revealed a few days ago and it has gotten nothing but trash from almost everyone on the internet. Do people seem to forget that this is new, next-gen, technology? The reason why it's so big is because it's the best they could do. When the original Xbox was revealed, did people complain about the size of it? No, they were amazed about how Microsoft has come up with this new console. It seems like today everyone is so quick to judge Microsoft for revealing a "2001 DVR" sized console that is probably smarter than all of your electronics combined.
Next, the conference was meant to reveal the console, not it's games. Stop complaining that they only cared about TV, sports, and Call of Duty. Comcast (I think), EA Sports, and Activision are all partnered with Microsoft so they were able to talk about how they helped contribute to this next-gen console. The games will be shown at E3, which is in a couple weeks, and in the upcoming months. Don't get your panties in a bunch because Microsoft didn't adhere to your every need during the reveal. Also, Microsoft could have easily said that the Xbox One was coming out in 2014 or later. They want to get this product out and they want people to be happy with it (Not to rule out that they want more money).
I think that the Xbox One looks cool and has a lot of potential in becoming a common household electronic. In my opinion, I feel that it is the first true step into next-gen technology. It's time to stop reproducing the same technology we know about and start exploring what we don't know. If that means that we have to go back to huge electronics, I'm fine with that. Just give the new Xbox a chance and stop complaining that it wasn't what you wanted.
I'm not an Xbox fanboy either. I support all game consoles and have had my share of them all. Please comment on what you feel and whether or not you agree with me. Please be kind and courteous because I don't like rude people (lol). I don't want to start a war, I just want people to see a different side of things.
