Hi. I know it's been a little while, but I'm still alive and kicking. I'm still writing, and I'm still working. I've missed you all, and I'll be around more often.

Oh, and I'll be at Balticon this year, hopefully on a few panels and definitely selling books in the dealer room.

      Much love to you all.

Thanks to the assholes who breached Target and my getting my family stuff for Christmas at Target, my card info got stolen. Worse, I had to get a new one. Worse than that, my goddamned PayPal had the old card info, which I forgot to update to the new one. As such, I'm non-sponsored for the first time in years. I fixed that, so life is good.
Anyway, much love to you all.

Well, I haven't been posting because I did NaNoWriMo (and finished the novel, thankyewveruhmuch; now it's in editing hell), and because I've been hunting a job. While I'd rather be writing for a living, it's not paying the bills quite yet. For those who didn't know, I've been unemployed since 30 September of this year. Not a great way to begin the holiday season, I assure you.
As such, I interviewed for a service desk position at a company in Norfolk. I looked pretty damned sharp, and I was pretty damned sharp. The interviewer liked me enough to introduce me to the associate VP, and apparently, the AVP thought I was pretty cool. I got the call yesterday (Friday) with the official offer. It's a foot in the door, and it's better than I thought I would get. I start on January 6th, and I'm hoping to be there for a very long time.
It's been a tough three months. For awhile I was losing faith. I thought I'd never get another job, or at least not one that I could actually make a career. I was feeling like I would never be able to contribute to the world again, and that I would have to depend on the kindness of my family to make it. It's not a good feeling. Thankfully, I don't have to feel that way anymore.
Anyway, just thought I'd share. Much love to you all, and thanks for listening.

Hey, guys. Been awhile since I've been around here. Been doing a crapload of writing since I got laid off, and with NaNoWriMo this month, I went to town. I managed to make the goal of 50000 words this morning around 1:11am. The story is going really well, and I'll be done with it this week, I think. Anyway, just a headsup that I'm not dead, nor resting. I'm still job-hunting and now working on my certifications so I can make myself more irresistible to employers. First up: Security+. And I gotta tell you: The study guide is about as exciting as watching flies screw. Yeah, it's that bad. Anyway, much love, too hip, gotta split, drop me a line, buy my books, tell your friends and neighbors.

Well, the Black Beauty is fixed. I got the bill down to 600, which is good. She runs, which is great.
I got a new job, too, so I'll be off on weekends for the foreseeable future. Apparently, all the bad karma I've accrued over the last few years decided to burn off in one fell swoop. Yeah, it's a pay cut, but it's half the distance of my old job, I don't have to fight tunnel traffic, AND it's actual tech support. How about that, campers?
And finally, I've decided to let the public speak. I get 100 people to say they'll buy The Blame Game (either ebook or paperback), and I'll release it early. Sound good? Yeah, me too.
Anyway, just wanted to let you all know what's going on. Much love to all.

So, as you can see, the good is I got the cover for my next book, The Blame Game (coming out April 15). As you can also see, it freaking rules.
The bad: my car's clutch has apparently decided to go FUBAR.
The shitty: It's about a grand to fix. That breaks down to selling about 500 books at least. Can't win for losing.

Anyway, much love to all of you. Thanks for listening.

Had the best milkshake I have ever had. Red Robin's Guinness shake. Take Guinness, Jameson, chocolate ice cream, and whipped cream, and you have the most awesome shake ever of all time. I less than three'd it so much.

When people start taking things I say seriously (not you), that means we live in the End of Days. I'm investing in 10mm bullets, RadAway, blue and yellow armored jumpsuits, underground vaults and stimpaks.
