      AHHHHHHHHHH

Kids are with dad, the house is quite. I woke up at 10:00 AM and decided to drink my morning coffee and read my journals... Now I'm caught and I have to hit the pavement and run my errands.

Things have been really exciting for me of late. I had a job interview two weeks ago with an attorney firm. I was made a job offer but ended up turning it down because it didn't pay well. Though, I was thrilled that they offered it to me. If you all don't know... Michigan is in its own personal recession so jobs are scarce. Now I hope that momentum keeps going because I had another interview yesterday and it seems thing went REALLY well. So any prayers that someone might swing for me to get extended an offer with the pharmaceutical company will be greatly appreciated.

Oh and I have a date with a new guy tonight. smiley0.gif Not to be too corny (but I will be somewhat) since things didn't work out with the cowboy I'm proud to say that I'm right back in the saddle again. You know dating is like looking for a job. You keep applying at different companies and eventually you find a good fit.

I don't know what's been up with me lately but I like it. Though things may not work out the way I want them too, I'm not letting the "let downs" get me down. Always remember there is a good in every bad and you have too really look for it. When you do... you realize that you are the master of your own happiness smiley12.gif

    • Anal Retentive

      TNAI

      "From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The term anal-retentive (or anally retentive, anal retentive) derives from Freudian Psychology, although in common usage the original meaning has been altered. This term is often referred to simply as anal. Conversationally, the term is often used to describe a person deemed to be overly obsessed with minor details. Its roots are said to be from the theories of Sigmund Freud.

The term is often used in a derogatory sense to describe a person with such attention to detail that the obsession becomes an annoyance to others, and can be carried out to the detriment of the anal-retentive person."

I have been describe as anal retentive so many times in my life... so it was only fitting that when my H/R gal gave me my W-2 yesterday that I had this compulsion to file my taxes. I started gathering and compling the necessary info I required starting the 3 day of Jan. I began the return at 9:30 A.M EST and completed them by 1:00 EST... smiley0.gif

Yes I am anal retentive... and getting a refund **does the Snoopy dance**

Now off to shower and then to house cleaning....... smiley0.gif

Guys I have had a crush on my gas station attendant for 5 years now. smiley12.gifsmiley12.gifsmiley12.gifsmiley12.gifsmiley12.gifsmiley12.gifsmiley12.gif He's my perfect male. Dreamy blue eyes and dark wavy hair. And....uh...did I mention he has a body like Conan the barbarian.... smiley12.gifsmiley12.gif Oh and he knows I'm crazy about him. The sad thing...he's 25. smiley2.gifsmiley2.gifsmiley2.gifsmiley2.gif Yes and if you do the math he was 20 when I started this crush. And even though he's this BABE of man, he sweet, funny, and not self centered. Life just is cruel sometimes. I mean come on... to be that nuts about someone and knowing full well... you can only admire them from a far. I saw him tonight and his face lit up like it always does when he sees me **sigh**

I guess I just wanted my friends to know that even I have crush's and cannot do damn thing about it... and if anyone says go for it I'll beat your ass...I'm not a pedophile smiley8.gif

Ian: Mom why do mosquitoes like damp forest and swamp places?
Me: That’s were they like to breed.
      Ian: Breed?
Me: Yes baby breed... lay their eggs to have thier babies, multiply in great numbers so they can all hang out
      Vivian: Just like on Dagobah
Me: * huge wide smile crosses my face * yes princess just like on Dagobah

I was born a Sci/fi Geek and I have bred three lil Sci/fi Geeks... my work on this planet is done

John: Every woman has at least one tight shirt or pants in their wardrobe and...
Me : OH DON'T TELL ME..... IT'S OUR FAULT THAT YOU ALL OOGLE US BECAUSE OF WHAT WE ARE WEARING!
      John: Exactly smiley0.gif
      Me: Just stop talking smiley4.gifsmiley4.gifsmiley4.gifsmiley4.gifsmiley4.gif

      It's not that often I wish I were a kid again...only because my childhood was miserable...but after this conversation I had with my daughter on Sunday I wish I were her age again;

Me: Sissy I went shopping on Saturday for you all and checked out how much the that Fur Real Parrot cost... do YOU know how much it cost?
      Vivian: Fifty dollars
Me: More like seventy ... what are you thinking?
Vivian: **rolls eyes** Moooom thats why I told SANTA to get it for me.
Me: *blinks* Uh ya...good call little girl

*sigh* I hope she wanted the stuffed giraffe as much as she wanted that parrot that SANTA was suppose to get her because it only cost $15.00 smiley4.gifsmiley4.gifsmiley4.gif

    • What were you thankful for?

      TNAI

This is my family T-Day tradition. While I'm filling up plates of food we all go around the table and say what we are thankful for.

John : I'm thankful for Sara (his g/f)
      Me: That's it?
John: I'm sure I'm thankful for more but right now I'm hungry.

Ian: I'm thankful for mashed potatoes and Ketchup
Me: Wow those two topped the list aye?
Ian: Yep ( nod's head with a big cheesy smile)

Vivian: I'm thankful for my friends and family
Me: Vivian you don't have to say things to make me feel good, just beause your brother's response's were lame
      Vivian: she laughs

Me: Well I am sooooooooo thankful for all the weight I lost this year.

John: Ya Mom and you are going to just put it all back on after you eat all this food tongiht.

Me: You know that is something your father would say to me.** and I make a scowl **

They all laugh. Yep the ex wasn't there in body but his spirit lives through his son. smiley4.gifsmiley4.gifsmiley4.gifsmiley4.gifsmiley4.gifsmiley4.gifsmiley4.gif

I got the bird in the oven at 1:00 pm. Sfuffed and all

Been baking pies since 9:00 am.

Cooked the grean bean casserole and the fresh cranberries last night

I will be making the mashed pototaoes an hour before the bird is done. Gravy when the bird is done

The children and I will eat at 6:00 on the good china; be done by 6:20 and I will ask my self the same question I ask myself every year. Cook for two days and it's done in 20 minutes... some how that just is so wrong.

I hope this weekend is filled with food, family and fun. You all stay safe above all. smiley12.gif

That was the statement a man yelled from his car window today while I was doing my jog. I could not help but laugh out loud and thank him. It then occurred to me that I have been doing this same route for 18 months now on and off. Since my start I have gone from a size 16 to a 12 (in stretch denim). I still some ways to go. I want to drop another 20 pounds and I think I will be in total good health. I just had my yearly physical and my cholesterol was borderline high. I have been just freaking about that. Though I'm glad I started this healthy living thing because I wanted to not because I was told I had too. smiley0.gif

It just never occurred to me that I had an audience

Okay, as you probably know, I'm gradually putting together the 3D animation of New Flight and, eventually, all its sub-stories. Now, to make this work properly, I'll need to have a model for you in it. Preferably looking like you, with your permission. And also, sounding like you, if possible.
So, essentially, I need your permission to use your likeness. Also, if you have or can get a microphone and some quiet time every week or two, it'd be great if you'd do the voice acting as well. I've still to get through the script with Shura and there are a few other things short, but only a couple more weeks, I reckon.

Technically it was somebody else's fault for writing the wrong IP on the label I was using, but that's beside the point. If a particular guy finds out I did it, I might get yelled at a bit for causing him hell, but nothing too bad. Since I haven't seen 'X-men' - since comic books when I was much younger (lol) - the reference / similarity is lost on me. The basic problem is that I don't watch TV, go to movies, or even read much any more. What "free" time I have -I am spending with my hobby - sewing - I am experiencing a real passion for it - a joy in the creation of something I can be proud of....

If my brother {who was a psychologist} was still alive - he would "read" all sorts of things into that comment! Although I still miss him dearly - I feel him close to me at times... like now, when I realized what he would "see" in my comment. Comforting... cause he really IS still with me... in my heart. smiley12.gif

It is certainly more fun to make a costume to wear to an enjoyable event... but the duvet cover / dust ruffle is something you can enjoy long term... Getting started is the hardest part... (just like diet and exercise....) once you set aside time to do it regularly - it becomes a 'habit' - one you miss when you aren't doing it!

I think you are talking about "the Good, The Bad and The Ugly"

Just believablity. Yes, the transporter is pretty unbelievable, but there are limits.

It is sort of like throwing an aircraft carrier in the air at high speeds and expecting it to stay together (since it's not stream lined), let alone what the thrust would do to it in the first place.

Thanks for your kind comments on my sewing projects! I am really enjoying the creative process - and although I always wish for a 'perfect' outcome - I am getting better at accomplishing a finished product I can be proud of!
I don't think it "nerdy" at all - to want to get together - compare notes - with another seamstress! I have frequently wished for a 'resource' when I am struggling with a particularly difficult piece.
I'm grateful for the support and friendships that I've found here .... and I have my daughter to thank for that... so one more thing to be grateful for... I've found a great way to connect with Veela.... and with all the other "issues" in our lives right now... it is GREAT to have a positive thing to share with her....!!! LOL - hows that for a run on sentance!
