For the week until Friday 6th of July, 2012

It's not so much that I'm getting bored of doing this - although I suppose I am - but it's just that I'm either busy working or with schoolwork or I'm just too tired, or more-often-than-not I just can't be bothered. So I suppose I am getting bored.

I mean, there's no point writing anything here if I'm not getting anything done or if anything's changing. So as far as I know, this could be one of the last MJTRT Recaps that I post for either a long, long time or forever.

Anyway, this is just going to be a very short wrap-up and I probably won't post another for a while.

So, you guys and girls out there should just keep on gaming.

      MJTRT Recap #4

For the week until Friday 8th of June, 2012

I had a bit of an idea this week, and as stupid as it is, I think it would be possible if I were able to get it up and running.

I'm not going to spoil anything at the moment because I'm really paranoid about telling people things that I want to keep secret, so at the moment I'm just trying to get in contact with them at the moment so I can discuss some things.

I still haven't had any contact with any of them and it's beginning to really get to me because I'm running out of ideas - and I'm probably annoying them, too.

This whole thing just seems to be getting rediculous and at this point I'm about ready to give up. I figure that if I can't get any kind of response within the next few weeks then I may as well just stop trying, which means no more "Recaps" which means everyone can celebrate for not having to put up with them.

Oh, and in the meantime, I'm not going to be posting a Recap this week for Friday 15th of June, and it is quite possible there will not be one for the week after (Friday 22nd) because of reasons... but it's not like anyone reads this anyway so it doesn't matter.

In the meantime, keep on gaming.

For the week until Friday 1st of June, 2012

I apologise for the late Recap this week, but I was quite busy all of last week so I didn't get a chance to get it out on time. Anyway, ploughing through.

This week started out in heartache for me because on Sunday after I posted my last recap, I discovered that I needed to live in Austin, TX, USA and that I'd need to complete at least two years of video editing/production experience before they would even consider me.

This creates a big problem for me because 1, I didn't plan on going to University, and 2, if I did go to University, get the course done, and they still didn't give me the internship then it would be a total waste of time.

It sort of put me on a road that I didn't want to go down because I was too uncertain as to what might happen.

In the end, I tried to email them again - although not through the website this time. I tried another email account, but I wasn't sure that even this was going to get a response, so I waited. And waited. And waited.

      And nothing.

It's really starting to annoy me at the moment because all I need is to make contact with them at least once to be able to start talking to them more, but at this rate it's not going to happen.

So RoosterTeeth, if you're listening, PLEASE answer me.

Also, I wouldn't be expecting much in the way of a Recap #4 either. It'll still be there, just not as big as some of the others.

In the mean time, keep on gaming.

    • MJTRT Recap #2 (May 25th, 2012)

For the week until Friday 25th, 2012

I was listening through the old podcasts, for no particular reason other than to pass the time and just so there was some noise (my house is incredibly quiet most hours of the day), and I found out that Gavino was actually an intern when he started working for Rooster Teeth, and only a few months/years later, he became the director of Red vs. Blue.

I'm not saying I want to go that far as to be director of a Machinima series from Rooster Teeth, but I would at least like to be there with them and be able to play games with them, make videos with them - it would all be so much fun.

Of course, I'm not singling Gavino out because I know that they have had many other interns.

I would love to start out as an intern.

I would KILL to be an intern.

I'm very aware that just being an intern doesn't exactly mean that I would get to be an Achievement Hunter or anything, but I would at least like to give it a try.

To my knowledge -correct me if I'm wrong- they have never had an Australian Achievement Hunter, so it would be amazing to be the first ever! If I'm wrong, then it doesn't exactly make a difference, I would still love to be a part of that.

Over to significant things, and the only thing that happened this week was my Original Xbox console broke - by that, I mean the disc laser burned out, so it doesn't read any discs any more. I was actually really devastated by that because I absolutely love that console and all the original games that I have on it, so now that I can't play them, I'm quite upset about it but I plan to either get another one and use the parts from that, or just buy another disc laser.

And I realise that none of that has to do with Achievement Hunter or Rooster Teeth, but it's still quite significant in my week.

In the mean time, keep on gaming.

For the week until Friday 18th, 2012

As expected, nothing much has happened within the first week.

I began this journey quite literally a week ago when I signed up for an account on RoosterTeeth.com, which you may find stupid but I was actually quite unaware about being able to sign up on the site until recently, as well as what happens online.

Seeing as the website is fitted with a "Journal" feature, I see it fitting that I post these journey updates and recaps on RoosterTeeth.com; hopefully, I'll either be able to make contact with any of the guys, or maybe just get recognised and gain their attention through people drawing them to it.

Hopefully nobody tries to steal my idea, because I really don't want someone to do that and get away with it because I am working really hard to try and get this done.

So throughout the seven or so days that I've been on this site, I have tried multiple times (not so many that it becomes annoying) to come in contact with a few of the guys that work at Rooster Teeth - namingly Jack and Gavino, and soon Geoff - to see if I could learn anything about working at Rooster Teeth and if I'll need to know anything.

Sad to say, I was quite unsuccessful in making any contact what-so-ever.

But that hasn't deterred me at all. I still hold high hopes that over the coming weeks and months, I will finally make contact at least once, which will hopefully turn into regular contact.

Until then, I'll keep on trying and you can keep on gaming.

    • My Journey to Rooster Teeth: Coming Soon

Hi. My name's Trent and I'm a sixteen year-old living in Australia.

Recently, I've sort of had this idea in my head that if I work hard enough, I'll be able to land myself a job working at Rooster Teeth, and with the incredible love of writing I have, I figured I might as well document it so that you, the people on RoosterTeeth.com, could follow along on my journey.

Being only sixteen years of age, and still in school, I've decided I won't start this journey as early as I wanted to, but once I hit my seventeenth birthday in a little over two and a half months, and more so after I finish school in November this year, I will be doing everything I can to try and get the attention of the guys at RT - I don't care how long it takes, so long as everything pays off in the end.

I don't want to bore people by continuously posting the smallest and insignificant updates, so I'll make sure that I only update every so often, maybe once every few weeks or every month, or ONLY when something significant in my journey happens.

In the meantime, I guess I'll just have to try anything, wait and hope.

Keep on gamin', guys and gals.
