The chat room traffic might go something like this....

      Page 1
      Page 2
      Page 3

It comes up too small to read initially in IE, but if you click on the image, a weird picture resizer square comes up. Click on that and it should be readable size.

      Enjoy! smiley0.gif

It's like Ska...mixed with old school Metal...omg, I think my brain is hemmorhaging.

    • A new generation of Elvis fandom

      TammieP

"This is the closest to Graceland I can get you, ma."

And with those words, I talked my mother-in-law into going to the Michigan State fair with my 5yr old daughter and I. It was a special Elvis day - they were going to have some of his personal items on display and "The Big E" Elvis impersonator was putting on a concert.

To say my mother-in-law loves Elvis is probably the biggest understatement anyone could ever utter. She even got pissy at us during the Elvis postage stamp runoff, and we asked her if she liked the fat Elvis or the skinny Elvis better. (But she loved us anyway!)

So my daughter has known of Elvis. Mom's got almost as many pictures of him up around her apartment as she does of DeAnna. And then Lilo and Stitch came out with a lot of Elvis songs in the soundtrack. Needless to say, my daughter is an Elvis fan also.

An except from the car ride to pick mom up for the fair -
De: And then we'll see Elvis singing.
me: Well no, sweetie. Elvis is dead. The man singing is just pretending to be Elvis.
De, shock and hurt in her little voice: When did he die?
me, mentally smacking myself in the head for assuming she knew: A long time ago, when I was little like you.
De: No, what was the number?
me: I don't know, but your grandma knows.
      De: How did he die?
me: Sweetie, Elvis took drugs and they made his body sick and that's how he died.
De: No, but how did they kill him?
      - and several more probing, particular questions from her followed until I finally had to
      say -
me: Elvis's body was so sick and hurt from the drugs, that he died on the toilet, when he was going poop.
De, shocked again: Oh. *long pause*

And then my little angel spoke up again, her voice doubting and unsure, as if she thought somehow she was wrong, "But mommy...I think...that sounds a little bit funny."

*headsmack* It took every ounce of my being not to laugh.

She adored the concert by the way. And mom gave The Big E her stamp of approval. It was a good time had by all!

      Kids..geez...

      TammieP

I was so relieved to hear this news from the TShirt Hell newsletter -

There are so many miraculous stories coming out of New Orleans in the wake of the recent hurricane. People escaped the rising flood waters by climbing on to their rooftops. Rescue workers arrived in helicopters. After the women showed them their tits, they were given beads and allowed on board. We salute you New Orleans, for sticking to your principles in the face of adversity.

Fantastic C.A.D. episode you got there. I love that comic... too much, actually... it's a bit of a problem... when I'm with my girlfriend, she'd probably be upset to learn that I'm usually imagining that she's Ethan... smiley8.gif

      The Game of Tag
If I tagged you... HA! You now have to follow the rules of the game:

-You cannot tag someone who tagged you
-You should tag at least 5 other people (those with 4 or less will be punished by flogging or any other way I can think of)
      -Random tagging is accepted
-All tagging should be done in the personal comments section on the homepage of the tag-ee
-Do not eat a live chicken
-This game is only fun if people participate
-The goal is for everyone on the site to get tagged EVENTUALLY
-If you decide to participate, post the rules in your journal or link them to this journal
-I have a space monkey in my pics section
-There is no violence until I change the game to capture the flag
-When capture the flag breaks out, the teams will cluck like chickens until I am satisfied (....???)

There was an American man that had an meeting in France. He met a woman and that night they had their own meeting. While they were where having sex, she was yelling, "TROU FAUX,TROU FAUX." He did not know what that meant, but assumed it to be some sort of praise.
The next day, he went to play golf with the men he had the meeting with. One of them made a hole in one. He yelled, "TROU FAUX,TROU FAUX !"

They looked at him and said, "what do you mean wrong hole?"
