With the announcement on Friday of a movie being made by Rooster Teeth, fans across the globe have tossed coins from their coffers to meet the $650,000 fundraising goal. Not only was this goal achieved, but within two days following Friday the current stream of support continues, surpassing one million dollars.

I look forward to this movie, and I am sure the money raised will be put to good use on the effects, cast, and production of the film. While discussing the recent events with fellow RT fans, one of them brought up the question, "Why does RT need extra money if they said they have the infrastructure to produce the film?"

The most simple answer to this question, is that the more put in the more gets put out. Yes, RT can still make Lazer Team without raising money, but it would most likely have the campy feeling of a college final exam "film". It is important to remember that RT is not a large company, even with the overwhelming support they receive. By asking for help with funds, RT is making a smart move that will provide the audience with a top-notch experience and protect the reputation of RT for making stupidly funny content.

At the time of this writing, we still have 27 days to donate, and while the cash flow has seen a significant decrease in speed, the wealth of support continues to pour onto RT, fulfilling the fans' wishes and demonstrating the strength of the community.

After seeing a post on the internet featuring a very vague recipe for a giant snickers bar, I figured I would have a go at it. Turns out the materials are very expensive, and extremely time consuming. But I am halfway there as I wait for the nougat to cool. While it may not look aesthetically, I know for sure the taste will be amazing! Picture will be uploaded with halfway point then final product.

    • RTX 2015?

After reviewing videos released from RTX 2013, I am even more eager to attend! However, with all the chaos of community college, senior year of high school, and applying to universities I wouldn't be able to attend this year. While I am deeply saddened by this, I began pricing a trip for RTX 2015. Going next year would be an awesome opportunity for me to travel following high school graduation, and a chance to meet some cool people!

Departing from Orlando to Houston, and back again is in itself about $250. The cheapest hotel within seven blocks of the convention center is La Quinta, which for three nights is about $490. Putting this together along with food, RTX tickets, and spending money, I'm thinking it would be a $1000 to make this trip feasible. While it may seem daunting now considering a lack of income, it makes me committed to attending this event and having one hell of a time! smiley0.gif

So I was just now on MSN and there is a whole NBC article about Netflix spoofing the Amazon drone promotion. The article goes onto state the parody in which Netflix introduces its own service of drone technology. Below is a link to this specific article, but I wanted to know what everyone else thinks of this? Personally, its kind of frustrating that with RT having made a whole short which is much better in my opinion and has been out for a while gets overlooked. Anyways, I wanted to share this bit of information and use this as a shout out to the RT crew for making a stellar short which I believe is truly network news worthy!

Glad to be back on Rooster Teeth website! Been awhile since I logged on so now I am ready to get active. Up to this point, I can definitely say that the King Ryan Lets Play (both parts) is one of the best I have seen in a long time! Hopefully Gavin can one-up Ryan, but the chance of that happening I'm afraid is extremely low...
