Holy life stuff, batman!
My day job gave me www.toplessrobot.com to try to relaunch.
For those who don't know, Topless Robot was a nerd/pop culture blog site that was alive from 2008-2015. My boss said he had been thinking about finding a way to start it back up, and I asked for it. We're now nearly a year into making podcasts, videos, and articles and it's been slow going, but it's going. In its heyday, it was getting 5 million hits a month. Now it's around 150,000 views a month.
I bought a house for the first time. It's an incredible and weird place, two blocks from a mountain. It has a spare house that I'm going to turn into a studio for filming the podcast and other recording purposes. I honestly never thought I'd own a house. I prefer knowing I can just hit the road and go on tour for a while. I used to think owning a house would prevent that, but it doesn't really.
My friend Aaron from the Minibosses is moving in with me for a few months this weekend. I'm hoping it will push me to jam more. I'd really like to get back into making music with greater regularity.
