havent done a journal in a while (I havent even been on this site in a while) so I thought I would do a short one now before I start my art coursework.

First off things have been great, had a few nights out and days out with friends over this glorious Easter holiday. Although its gotten boring over the last few days. The most exciting thing recently is that my friend has called a hit out on me since I said his ability to pull girls was worse than Daniel Radcliffes acting (this sort of thing happens pretty much every week though, Im really popular like that).

I have been doing looooaadds of drawings, both for my art course and just for the sake of it. I have finally come up with an idea for my final exam piece: a pop art style series of comic book panels (painted on canvas). Im not exactly sure what I am gonna be drawing in these comic book panels but I have tried out little sketches of things things to do with Battlestar Galactica, Xmen, Tranformers and even Terminator.

When I actually complete my final piece I might post a picture of it up here if it comes out decent

Now I have gotta go and do some art coursework, then do an english essay, my media coursework, and revise for my exams busy busy busy

And dont forget, Easter isnt just about chocolate eggs, but the self sacrficing and resurrections of Spock, Aslan, ET and Gandalf

and some dude named Jebus Jesus

Wow has anyone else seen the final episode, Daybreak Part 2, yet?? Before I go on there is gonna be some spoilers so dont read if you havent seen it.

First of.... wow. It has actually finished, and in a way that actually fits in with Modern Earth. The opera house actually being the CIC was great. But one thing still bugs me- Kara Thrayce. Yes she has been a controversial character since the start, being turned from a han solo wannabe guy into one tough chick, then dying and coming back in series 3. Now we have had all this stuff about her body being found on earth and all the harbinger of death and leading humanity to its end talk. Its that last bit I wanna talk about, she didnt lead them to their end in the Final Ep, she brought them to their new beginning, on (Modern) Earth. Plus there was the fact that she dissapeared into thin air. So was she a ghost? an angel?

Also it was a really good way to end the series with Head Baltar and Head Caprica talking in the middle of Modern day New York, giving a level of ambiguity over the idea of cycles. "But the question remains, will it happen again?". Kind of dissapointed to see it go, but at least we have The Plan and Caprica to look forward too.

Its been a while since I wrote a journal and I am currently very very bored so I might as well make one.

First things first I am amazed at the stupidity of some people on facebook. When people talk and have a convo about you on their status updates, dont they realise that when they are on your friend list the entire conversation appears on your homepage newsfeed? Its quite funny how clever people think they are when they dont name you (even though its obvious its you they are talking about) and are surprised when you "somehow" find the convo and figure it out. The said people werent saying anything bad or anything, and it was actually quite funny to read the convo, but I wonder if people could use abit more sense on facebook, especially as to who can see the conversation.

I saw watchmen on the opening weekend, the ending isnt as good as the comic and some parts of the big plan dont make that much sense. That said, I must give Zack Snyder credit, he gave it his damned best to film this "unfilmable" graphic novel. The fighting was made more intense and violent compared to the source material (understandable coming from the director of 300, which is basically just a series of bloody battles). Jackie Earle Haley was awesome as Rorschach, really superb acting. While Malin Ackerman's performance as Silk Spectre wasnt as good, its easy to see during the nude scenes why she was cast, if you catch my drift. The only real problem for some of my none-comic-book-reading friends was the accessibility of the film, and they found it hard to get into. All in all while it could never have hoped to be as good as the comic, I give it 4 Stars. I think I better stop before I turn this journal into a full blown film review.

Lastly, the being sick blood thing has started up again, and im on more meds, but the bright side is I have time off school and can play video games-- yaaay. The downside is that im off school and the work miraculously piles up when im not there, its almost as if those dastardly evil teachers all agree to give out coursework/homework at the same time whenever pupils are sick.

Well I just got back from my first day back at school. Same old boring/ annoying things as there was before half term. But now we have Halo installed on the school PCs, so we can play online Halo multiplayer whenever we dont have lessons :)

Also The premiere of watchmen is happening tonight (5:30 London Time) at leicester square. I could have gone but I just couldnt be bothered to go and stand outside it when I aint got a ticket to actually see the film itself. On the Upside of this, my media teachers have decided to take us to see the Watchmen movie at the IMAX (yaaaay, woooo)

Lastly, I am thinking of purchasing Amazing Spiderman issue 50 (circa July 1967) also known as "spiderman no more" and features the first ever appearance of the Kingpin which I have seen 2 original copies of at a trusted comic shop. (I dont expect it to be there long so Im begging and borrowing for money to buy this thing, it not cheap)

(I have just realised that I only made a journal to talk about video games, Watchmen, and Spiderman comics. God im such a nerd lol)

Well its mid way through half term, and I dont want it to end, why do holidays always end sooo quickly?

Although something I cant wait for is Watchmen which comes out in two weeks (YAAAAY) so I'll definately be seeing that as soon as it comes out. Most of my friends (who dont read comic books) practicaly know all there is to know about Watchmen since I am the resident comic book / film nerd guy and havent stopped talking about it for months and months and months. It had better be good!

Ever have those random enounters with people you know while your on a bus/public transport? I had one like this the other day with two girls I know and now they got it in their heads that im following them or something because the bus I was on was going through "their" part of London (So I cant travel outside my local area now?). It doesnt help when they both think I like one of them in the first place (shes nice looking but Im not that interested in her). I think all that weed they have been smoking (one of the reasons why im not that interested) is affecting their minds. Im not saying im concerned by this, this whole thing is actually kind of funny.

Oh and I have a couple of screenshot pictures from the trailer of Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen, which looks awesome!!

Monday and tuesday I had off school due to the large amounts of snow (yay snow!!!). On those days I built a snow fortress, and had aload of snowball fights. Yesterday I sent home and today I have a day off again today as well, but not because of the snow. I threw up blood again yesterday, three times. The doctors said to expect some small amounts of blood while my gut heals, but it was alot and the school kind of freaked and said "stay home until this is over".

So now Im home and bored. bboooooorrrrrreeeeedddd.
Maybe I should start my coursework now, Or I could watch the latest Battlestar Galactica.

I've had a really great time recently. (that was sarcasm, which doesnt realy come across that well in written form)

Ive been throwing up blood recently and been in and out of hospital since the 21st. apparently I have three tears in my stomach and one in my throat (I dont remember eating any razorblades but oh well). They have given me some drugs to help it heal and stop my stomach acid from eating away at the wounds but I am still gonna be throwing up little bits over the next week.

The first couple of time I threw up blood were at home or the hospital. Then when the hospital gave me the all clear that I could go back to skool I did end up going in and throwing up in a bin. In front of everyone in 6th form. Twice. So yeah that was embarrasing. Oh and I was sick in front of a girl I like. shit. (maybe I can get some sympathy/pity points?).

The good news is I have had lots of time to start and complete my english coursework.

    • exam time, and the Number 6.

      TheVertigo11

So I have an exam on next Wednesday. The only problem is that I am not totally prepared for it. And to top it all off all the art work and revision is ruining my already deprived social life. Its been ages since I just went out with my mates and had fun. To try and remedy this I might go and see a film with my friends on Saturday.

      On a seperate note:
I just finished off all 17 episodes of a 60's series called The Prisoner, a series about "number 6", a spy who is placed in mysterious village after resigning. If you thought Lost had some wierd stuff in it, then you definately havent seen this. I can barely make sense of some of the stuff. The co-creator and star of this series, Patrick McGoohan died recently. He has also starred in other series and films such as Braveheart (as King Edward). Great actor, he will be missed.

So recently its been cold, as in the colder than it has been in fucking years. And what happens, the boiler breaks down so now I have no central heating. Great time to have a breakdown. The only things I have to keep the house warm are two electrical heaters that we borrowed off someone else. Hopefully someone will come and fix it on thursday. Damn its cold.

Inflatable giant upside down purple cow? I would have loved to have seen that. I can't believe they got permission to put that up.

YOu should go somewhere like France, it's nice when you get to the more remote places because you don't get the arrogant people who refuse to speak to you in English...

But you plans for results sounds like my plans, either way I can see myself getting drunk.

Well I was thinking about reading the comics, Just need to find them. I might have a quick search on the internet soon to try and find them.

Wow, you co-produced a show that sounds quite impressive, what's it called? I'll give it a look (If I can). I assume I can because they'd show on E4... Of course I don't really know.

I've never been to Edinburgh, I would quite like to go at somepoint. But good luck with that. And I'm glad to hear you've had work :P It's more than what I've had...

And a comic book! That sounds amazing, I remember you mentioning before but I'm glad that it's becoming a realisation, I'd quite like to read it when it's finished...

I've been great thanks. I went to the south of France for 2 weeks with friends and family. It was a boating holiday on the Canal du Midi, near Narbonne. It had it's ups and downs but all in all it was a good holiday! SInce I've got back I've generally been meeting up with friends and playing a lot of Oblivion... And I'm waiting for my Exams result for thursday and that's really all I have planned :P

So I finally got around to watching the Watchmen. It was an interesting film. Confusing in places. I think that's because there is a lot going on. But it was one hell of a film. Really enjoyed it! I now want to read the comics.

I have heard about Micheal Jackson. I heard about it last night at my Leavers Ball and people kept going on about it then which was annoying beyond belief. So it hasn't helped today.

I feel it's even worse on facebook with that "Tribute to Micheal Jackson" it's all that is appearing on my news feed :-/ But I mean it's still sad that he's gone, although there all that stuff with the kids and what not, because his music was good.

Anyways it's my sixth forms leavers ball tonight and I know the feeling. I know that some of these people I'll never see again which in a way breaks my heart as some of them I really do want to see again. :(

Oh I completely agree It was a sad moment for me as Optimus is one of my favourite characters ever! Now that I'm on the verge of finishing exams I'm brain storming ideas for what to do and re-watch the cartoons as my knowledge is getting a bit rusty :S

Anyways how are you feeling? Has the illness sub-sided?(If you don't mind me asking). And how are exams?

Actually, forget the web comic thing. But yeah, I don't know if we should give Lax and Dial-Up a friendship based on hate while Jeff is a really stupid guy they take the piss out of or maybe make Dial-Up and Jeff really stupid and have Lax as the one who has to put up with them. I'm just brainstorming.

Also, do you think we need anymore team members? I think this four are fine. We could have a fifth person who's sort of like their manager and who tries to pimp them out to marketting companies...

I want us to make a start on Blunt Force. I have been inspired recently by Blackadder, Fawlty Towers, The Office and various machinima's. I've been thinking about the dynamic of the characters and I want to brainstorm a little. I was also thinking about doing it as a webcomic or in a webcomic style. I think Jide's stuff is good enough for that. So, yeah, get back to me asap.
