Gotta give us a little more credit. While a majority of space "firsts" were achieved by USSR/Russia, as seen here US actually have alot more than just landing on the moon. Many of them crucial to spaceflight.

      Among them:
First manual control of a Manned Spacecraft: Freedom 7; 1961 (also America's first manned mission)
First Rendezvous in Space: Gemini 7 & Gemini 6A; 1965
First Docking with another spacecraft: Gemini 8; 1966
First Manned Mission to leave Earth Orbit: Apollo 8; 1968

      Can't forget unmanned:
First Successful Flyby of Venus: Mariner 2; 1962
First Successful Flyby of Mars: Mariner 4; 1964

So, yeah, Russia, got a lot first, but you shouldn't underestimate NASA.

Also, the reason the Shuttle doesn't always launch on time, is because NASA is like the most strictest, safety-crazed parents you can imagine when it comes to safety of human spaceflight, which, considering you're riding on top of what is basically a guided bomb, I am happy to wait a day or two.

Hello! If you have not guessed, I am a Bionicle (the LEGO action figure series) fan, and if you know (which you probably wouldn't unless you really cared about Bionicle), that they are ending the sets. On this sad note, one member on this forum I'm on, BZPower, came up with the idea to make CGI movies about all the stories and serials and sagas of BIONICLE, and thus, Bionicle: Next Generation is born.

Already, we have dozens of fans, almost all members of BZP (including yours truly), working on various aspects of the project:

      Concept Art
      Music
      Voice Acting
      Scripts
      Modeling and Animation

I, myself, am not only the voice actor of one character, I am the Senior Canon Correspondent (known internally as Fanonbuster) , making sure the movies stay true to the story. smiley0.gif

Right now, we are trying to focus on modeling and animating our first movie, which will be based on an online serial by Greg Farshtey, Dark Mirror. I don't know much about it, but I do know we are using Blender as our primary modeler and animator.

If you are a modeler who has some advice, or if your interested in helping, contact me. Even if your not a modeler, if you have a talent in one of the above fields, contact me, as well. It would be good to fill yourself in on the story to help you out. Google BS01, the Bionicle wiki. That'll help you out.

Also visit the Youtube page to see some of what has been made so far.

For now, I gotta get back to busting Fanons smiley13.gif
