Well, it was finally announced.
The third World of WarCraft expansion, Cataclysm, is set to hit store shelves on December 7th, 2010.
Yeah. I am going to be unavailable for like a week.
Anyone want to go to my classes for me?!

Okay, so, yeah, this weekend is DragonCon, the big Sci-Fi convention that occurs over Labor Day weekend in Atlanta every year. I haven't gone for the past two years, that this year is not going to be any different. I really miss it and I wish that I was going. I used to have a blast. There are going to be a lot of really cool Stargate people there this year.... and because of different things with our situation, I cannot go.
On top of that, I really miss spending the time with my friends and having a ball wander around in costume.
I really hope and am crossing my fingers that I can go next year.
I miss it. A lot.

Well, I just started my first week back actually 'in' school.
I am really looking forward to it!
Yes, I know, it is rather lame, but what the heck am I going to do about it? My foreign language is all 10+ years old so no university accepts it as completing the foreign language requirement any longer. So I just have to plug away at it, again, like I did for two years in High School. Jeez, this really makes me feel like I am getting too old!!!
This is going to be a tough class. You know it, and I know it. However, I am really excited to be taking it. Why? Because the last time I took it, I actually began to understand it but I wasn't quite ready to put in the time and effort that was required in order to get a good grade in the class. I am now a few years and a few years wiser, so I know that I am much more prepared and much more ready for this type of work load. I am really looking forward to testing it out, working hard, and seeing if my newfound determination is really up to the challenge that I think and believe that it is.
Intro to Computer Programming: Programming with Alice
Alice is a computer program, sort of like an intro to Java. It is really so far and it is going to teach the basics for how programs work, debugging and getting everything right. I am really enjoying working with the program thus far. I am new to programming, so it is cool to learn all of the little bit of syntax and all of that stuff that actually goes into writing a program. This should be a lot of fun.
Oh, and I finally figured out what I want to do with my life. I would love to be a programmer in the short and in the very long term, get a masters and finally a doctorate and teach programming and basic computer science at a University.
So here I am. Getting off to a good start. I am so excited!
P.S. No DragonCon for me this year. :( Hopefully my friends will bring back some good stories though!

Now, will the rest of the season be like this?
The jury is still out. But... it is possible.
For a lot of you that have me on your watchlist, I know it has been a while since I have been active on here. Why? Well, mostly because of life AND because WoW was consuming it. Now, I find myself playing a lot less. I don't raid that much any more. I rarely say that I will make it for something and I usually put myself on the Alt list. That way, if I show up, they can have me. If I don't, it isn't a big deal.
This has really given me a lot more freedom to do what I would like to do. I am spending a TON more time outside with my dog, Caly, and simply being with my wife. It has really helped to change my life around; doing something as simple as lessening my time playing a video game. But, when a game starts to become a something more akin to a job... it stops being a GAME.
All that being said, I should have another project in writing coming up very soon! It is called:
The Adventures of Ordo: Ghosts of Karazhan
Now, many of you will recognize the term Karazhan. On the other hand, many will probably not. However, suffice it to say this is a fan fiction, set in the World of WarCraft. It has to do with an intrepid group of adventurers and why and how they are in Karazhan, trying to find their way to Prince Malchazar. I am really hoping to get rolling on this soon. My first title in this series: The Origins of Ordo Fidelis was written exclusively for my guild. It was a lot of fun, but I want to expand this title a little bit and make it a little bit more main stream, palatable for the masses, as it were. I should also mention that it is being co-authored by my good friend and guild-mate, Boombastic, aka Boom.
Sooooo, if any of you enjoyed my earlier works that I put up on this site, please stay tuned for more!
Oh, and I promise to start writing more in here. :)

Okay guys. I know that it has been forever since I have been on here or posted anything, so I wanted to take a moment to say hello and let you all know what has been going on with me lately.
The biggest thing is... I am engaged! Thats right! I am going to get married! Wow, scary, I know. Her name is Christie and she is really a great girl.
Of course, the thing that brought me back here was the death of our hero, General George Hammond. He will be missed.
Good to see you all. I should be around a little bit more often.
