On Monday September 12th at 4:49 PM my husband and I welcomed our son, Declan Michael, into the world! He weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces, and was 19 inches long. He's healthy, happy and growing way too fast already. I may not be able to sleep in like I used to, I might get "firehosed", I have to change poopy diapers and do all those other unglamorous things moms do, but my little boy's sweet face makes it all worth it.
      I love being a mom.

So we're finally in our new house, the living room, dining room and guest bedroom are all painted, the new furniture we bought has been delivered, we still have to arrange the guest bedroom and the master bedroom, and we still have to get Bean's room ready. So much to do and only 4 weeks left until we're parents!
Still, I'm glad we're in a house of our own.
      Cheers!

We FINALLY closed on a house last Friday and it's ready to move in today instead of Friday like we had been told. I am so glad this nightmare is over. We did move everything into storage on Saturday and got completely moved out of the rental we were in. Now we gotta get the utilities in our name, get some painting done, then call the movers again and have them move everything in. After that I can start putting together baby things! We're only 6 weeks away from Bean's arrival!

I hate moving. I moved from Georgia to Virginia last year, now we're moving again. The good point is that we're buying a house so this will be the last move for a long time. The downside is that hubby is 2 hours away at Public Affairs Officer school, I'm 7.5 months pregnant and I have to get the house packed up alone since the movers are coming on Saturday.
      I need minions.

Jeez I haven't been on here in forever. Sorry to anyone who thought I dropped off the face of the earth.
Quick, fast, and in a hurry update:
      Came home from Afghanistan
      Finished college
      Got out of the Army
      Got my A&P license
      Moved to Virginia
      Trying to buy a house
Adopted a second cat we named Claudia but call Curmudgeon
And the biggest news of all...Drum roll please....
I'm pregnant! The Sir and I are having a little boy, I'm seven months along and due September 14.
      Hope everyone is well!

Ok, I know I haven't been in the military all that long (almost 8 years) and I've only been a sergeant for two years, but what the FUCK happened to the days when an E-3 was terrified of a Noncommissioned Officer or Commissioned Officer?! For example: Burning incense in the b-hut=fire hazard=NO GO. I ask First Sergeant about it, he refers me to the Mayor Cell, I go to them, they confirm, cool will talk to person that evening. Before I can even talk to this E-3(whom I have had problems with in the past), she proceeds to start bashing me to ANOTHER NCO and the NCO FAILED to lock her up and inform her to take her complaints elsewhere. To make it worse, the NCO AGREED with the E-3 that I am basically a bitch. Well, so what. In their eyes I'm a bitch, but to the Executive Officer and others I am a good NCO who is doing the right thing and enforcing rules and regs like I am supposed to. I went this route to confirm that the incense was a no go before I brought it up to her as she is a wannabe ghetto hood rat and thinks I complain constantly (I finally got tired of being hot in Mississippi and told the 1SG she was flipping the air conditioner breaker and she got pissy). When she gets more stripes than me, she is more than welcome to tell me what to do.
Ergh, I hate this kinder, gentler Army. Fuck their feelings. I have a Hurt Feelings Report they can fill out if my locking them up is a problem.
      I miss the old Army.

Ok, we just finished our week long field exercise to prove to First Army we're ready to go overseas and now we're just killing time until our four-day weekend. After that, we're heading across the pond in approximately two weeks. So yeah, it's almost game time.
      Hope everyone is well.
Will update when I can over there.
      Cheers!

Ok so here's why I haven't been on in such a long time:
The Army is crazy and I have been running around getting ready for deployment.
I'm now at Camp Shelby doing mobilization stuff. That means not enough hours in the day to do what I need to do.
I'll be here until the end of May-ish, then overseas for about 10 months.
I'm tired, dirty, I need to do laundry, and I miss my husband. :(

      Cheers!

We don't have a wedding registry because we're going to have a big ceremony when I get back from Afghanistan.

I used to do the same thing to my Woodlands. It would take me all weekend to do it myself. Then I found a couple of places in Oceanside that'll do it for you, and cheap. Worked out pretty well.

That's cool. We're going to be based out of Bastion (spell?) and sperad out over two more little FOBs. We have mobile deicing carts but my first contacts don't want the hastle of the extra gear. I really hate soft, pansey support units. The suck part of everything si that they are still building up the facilities. There's a detachment where we're going and they say it's like a COP more than FOB. Long walks to get anywhere, tents, water rationing, no internet, etc...

Poland was great! Did a lot of urban training, some mounted and dismounted stuff, and got to blow up a bunch of shit. Then we went to the city of Poznan and got drunk off our asses.

I see. I probably would have been the first to cut myself as well. I got a knife for Christmas a couple years back and I was the first to cut myself out of my brothers. This was within having it out of the packaging for 5 minutes. When I'm sick, all I do is drink OJ. I go through it so fast.
