With the surprising abundance of people who are feeling down or overwhelmed, I can't help but think of this.
In all seriousness, though, if any of you EVER need someone to talk to, please feel free to come talk to me. Even if you don't consider us good friends, each and every one of you mean a lot to me and I hate to see you hurting. Even if it's just for me to tell you the corniest joke I know (Why are there not a lot of casinos in Africa? because they have too many cheetahs! ), come find me. I'm usually hanging out in TeamSpeak, but you can always message me anytime.
All my love,

It's amazing how time flies.
I've been a member of the Rooster Teeth community (as Warpek) for a little over four years and one month. I wasn't as active on the site then as I am now, but I couldn't be happier with the experiences that have resulted from being here for so long. This community is one of the most supportive, friendly, and all around awesome communities that I've had the pleasure of being a part of; many things about it are simply remarkable to me.
Even more remarkable is the fact that I've also been living on my own for a year. Hooray independence.
That's all well and nice, but really the only reason I made this journal is to share something with you. Let me premise this by saying that during this time two years ago, I was going through a break up with my boyfriend of nearly two years. Without going into any details, I will say that it was a difficult time for me. My best friend (yes, I know I have a lot of good friends here, but I've known this person for 15 years, so she deserves the title) is now going through the same thing and I can't help but sympathize. Really, my best advice if you're experiencing any sort of heartache is to find something that will make you smile. Whatever it is, whether it's revisiting a website you previously neglected which hosts a funny machinima series, or the song Fuck You by Cee Lo Green, hold on to the small things that brighten up your day. Surround yourself with them, and things won't be as bleak. One of the things that made me smile was this video. It's an old video, yes, but it was new and relevant at the time. I don't know, maybe now it's relevant for you. Either way, it still makes me smile, so I thought I'd share.
Edit: This perfectly accompanies my last journal. Surround yourself with silly comics always.

So I'm playing Pokemon HeartGold (again, thank you to @Panacamanana for letting me borrow your copy) for the first time, which I thought would be a good idea since the last generation I played with were the Gold/Silver/Crystal games. Perhaps it's just because I grew up with the original 151 for a majority of my childhood, but really the only reason I didn't play any of the other games was because I have a hard time stomaching any generation after the second one. I was wary about starting HeartGold because I figured that it would include a bunch of the newer Pokemon, but as I started to play the game, I didn't notice much of a difference. It was the same town I knew and loved, a lot of the same pokemon, some of them had different items and moves, but that was alright with me. Well, I finally beat the Elite Four, and that's all well and good. I get the SS
Anne Aqua ticket from Professor Elm, and am about to board the ship when Professor Oak strides up and updates my Pokedex.
No no NO. It's cool. This happened in Gold/Silver, right? Yeah. It did. I just don't remember it, that was a few years ago, afterall. I'm just going to go onto the SS Aqua and battle some trainers, get my team's EXP up, maybe go find that old man's granddaughter, everything's just fine.
Well I start my intrusions into the various passenger cabins to devastate them and ruin their vacations like always, when I run into a Hitchhiker (who, I later found out, was named Noland. I'm going to go ahead and blame you for this, @ActionMan43). He sends out a Golem, lvl 42, and my Gyarados wipes the
poopdeck floor with it. All is going well until he sends out this animated coaster looking thing that I'm not sure if I should battle or set my cold drink on.
It's called a Bronzor.
It couldn't be. I... I've played through the whole first half of the game and didn't encounter a newer generation.
After encountering the floating coaster, things were normal for a while. I saw a Phanpy, a Delibird... hell, I even saw a Koffing and a Flareon. We were getting back to normal. I figured that other Pokemon I didn't know was just a fluke, but right as that thought crossed my mind and a Raticate that some sailor threw out had fainted, I realized it wasn't in my head.
Shit got real when that sailor sent out what appeared to be Pikachu mixed with a ballsack that was then given boxing gloves
At this point, I was still far enough into my denial, that I figured those were just two Pokemon who I didn't remember. Did I really think I could play what was considered a fourth generation game and not encounter the third generation of pokemon? Of course. Afterall, I was heading back to Kanto. I was heading back to Misty, Brock, Snorlaxes that blocked roads, and the pants-wetting scariness that was Lavender Town... I was going back to where my story first began all those years ago, where I first decided to be the very best like no one ever was.
My first stop was to go beat Lt. Surge in the Vermillion City Gym. Man, it was like going home on Christmas Day and seeing your least favorite sibling (Heart warming, but you know deep down he's still a douche)! I stopped by and paid a visit to the other trainers in that gym. There was a third Pokemon that I didn't remember from the previous games, but whatever, it actually looked sort of cool (It was an Electrike, for those who are familiar).
When I was done there, I left to go battle the trainers in the route above Vermillion City. I stepped foot into the first patch of grass that I've been near since my journey to Indigo Plateau. There, greeting me with with in all of its original 151 glory was an oddish. I felt elated. That was, until I crossed paths with a Picnicker who stuffed cherries into a Pokeball and called it a Pokemon.
One of the only things that keeps me playing this game is the fact that I now get to crush the Pokemon they tacked onto the coattails of the best generation.

This was my office internet's speed test on July 27th:
This is it from earlier today:
So far, I've been able to stay connected to a TeamSpeak server for approx. 20 minutes. This beats out my previous record time of 3 minutes before I dropped connection. I don't know what changed, or how long it will last (since my shitty connection started randomly one day and has been going on for a few months now), but I'm so excited.
Also, I had the forethought to bring goldfish and cherries to work today.
