So my friends' dad tells us that we should eat eight hot dogs and then go on all the rides at the fair.
It's not necessary. I don't know if it was the cotton candy, the fact that it was night, or just that it was the second round of rides (AND NONE OF THEM ROLLAR COASTERS!!! What kind of fair has no rollar coasters?! And the one kiddy ride does NOT count.) but all four of us felt rather ill by the time we were done.
Scratch that. All four of us felt ill when we were on the FERRIS WHEEL. If that's not pathetic, I don't know what is. Aside from the fact that my friend was scared of the ferris wheel because it's the highest ride, yet isn't scared of the Octopus which is the ride she almost died on before (another story for another day).

So by the time we got back to their house, it was - of course - time for bed. My friend couldn't sleep because she still felt sick. I couldn't sleep because every time I closed my eyes, I was moving. It was very unnerving.

The next day was great, however, spending time at the lake, then just lounging at their house all day... and finishing it off watching Don't Say A Word.

Then we had to leave. Work today. Then we were joking that we were going to swap me for Lex. I said she could go to work for me today... but then Lyv said that I would in turn have to go to soccer practice for Lex. As much as I am getting annoyed and bored with my job, I'd much perfer to sleep in today and work later tonight, than to wake up before six a.m. to play soccer.

And on that wonderful note, I have things to do. Mainly convince my brother to let me have the TV so I can finally watch 24 Season 1 DVD (which was swapped yesterday for my Pretender Season 1 DVD).

Oh yeah, and one more thing. You know you're a redneck when you wear a cowboy hat made out of budwiser beer boxes!

I have nothing interesting to report. Does anybody even see these? It's late. I have to get to bed.

Hey, I really haven't been on in a LONG time! But here, I'm making a mark to prove that I've been here this month. I'll probably be on more often... except that I'll be gone most of July.

      Anyway, that's all for now.

    • Where am I?

Me not here, me go bye, leave me message, me reply.

Whenever I happen to come back on. Seriously, with this new computer, we can download all the videos here and watch them... so why haven't we? I don't know. Lazy. Or there's no WinZip or something crazy like that.

Anyway, this site also doesn't interest me nearly as much as it did before I got a job and one day left of driver's Ed. Especially since people stopped chatting with me on here awhile ago...

Not to mention how long and often my brothers play that psycho World of Warcraft game, and how they have seniority over the compy, since my older brother is the one who bought it...

Anywho, just wanted to let y'all know I'm busy, so I won't be on here too often, so don't expect instant replies if you message to me, or something.

OK, for those of you who are Christians and like Weird Al... There's this great Christian comedian named Daren Streblow (whom I "met" through Ken Davis, my favorite Christian comedian) and he actually went on tour with Weird Al! How cool is that?!?!?! You can see pictures of him with Weird Al at his (Daren's) website darenstreblow.com
You can also look at his funny 'StreBlog" thing. It's entertaining!

      Enjoy!

    • The joys of friendships...

So spending an entire week with these certain two friends of mine kept me laughing. Kind of equal between laughing with them and laughing at them.

Even though there were a million animals (including allergenic cats and dog roaming through the house), I had a blast, and my allergies didn't kill me! I think the worst part was filling up waterbottles for the rabbits when it felt at least 30 degrees out there. Then again, helping feed the animals was me volunteering, so I'm not going to complain.

Nope. No complaining in this entry. Just the mention that I am going to be gone again soon, yay!

    • Boring. You don't want to read it.

So tomorrow morning, I can wake up at 4 a.m. to watch my old favorite show! OR I could just record it with the siffy DVR.

So there's this box under our computer desk that's right in the area of where our feet go, and it's totally getting busted because, well, that's where our feet go. No worries, though, because it's just a bunch of DND books and mags and all. And seriously, nobody even remembers it's there until they sit at the computer and stretch their feet and realize something's in their way, but it can't go anywhere else right now so it just sits there, being used as a footstool. I'm cool with that.

I'm also cool without a sweatshirt on when it gets below 70 degrees.
So why is there a button for an upside down V (shift+6) but none for a degree sign? That's crazy.

Anyway, on that new show Lost, I found out that there's this one writer for a few episodes, and her name is Jennifer Johnson. She wrote the two episodes that I was very disappointed in. She is on my hit list.

No, I don't actually have a hit list. At least, I won't actually kill anyone. But I don't like her now. As if I really ever did.

And on that note, I'm done.

... oooooookay... I was minding my own business typing a message, when my computer went back a page. I didn't even hit any odd buttons this time. It IS a conspiracy. Those aliens are taking over our electronics. It's all the Iron Giant's fault (you didn't think he was actually a good guy, now did you? He saved the world only so he could take it over! What kind of monster wants to take over a blown up world?)
And to think my own parents want to encourage it by putting a dish on our property for them to eat off of... although they all SAY it's for television purposes...

Updated my photos, in case you couldn't tell. I love engrish.com!

So I was watching Alias on Wednesday (because that's the day it's on) and I saw this guy (of course) and I said "Hey, that reminds me of the guy from In God We Trust (anyone ever hear of atomfilms.com?)."

But I wasn't sure, because I once thought that guy might be Angelo from The Pretender, but I was wrong. ANYWAY, so the beginning credits are going through as the show is showing, and I see the guest stars, one being Richard Speight Jr. I think to myself "I know that name." Then I realize, it IS the guy from In God We Trust! And just to make sure it was, I checked on imdb.com. I was right! Score 1 for the Stephanie!

The second time was when there's a door with something written on it and I said "hey, that's Russian!" (like it's any big news that it's Russian, the point is that if it came in clearer on our TV, I'd be able to almost figure out what it said). But my brother thought it was English, like an H and E or something. It's sad that our TV reception is so bad that we can have a debate over whether it was Russian or English. Stupid antenna. Anyway, it showed another shot of the door and sure enough, it WAS Russian! Score two for the Stephanie!

    • Theater or Renting?

      Zatara

RENTING (DVD, because they're cooler than VHS)
-Keep it for days (or just overnight, but still, it gives you time to see it twice) at cheaper than the price of theater,
-ability to rewind, fast forward, zoom, and any other wonderful feature the DVD player gives you (including volume control),
      -special DVD features.

THEATER (Regal Cinemas or some other GOOD theater)
      -Big screen,
      -surround sound,
      -NO DISTRACTIONS (my personal favorite),
-no need to worry about it being too loud because someone's trying to sleep,
-see it before the video comes out,
(just make sure it's not a movie that will attract a huge obnoxious crowd. For a movie like that, just rent it)
-gets you out of the house.

So while renting is better for money purposes, I prefer the theater. The whole NO DISTRACTIONS overules any other options. Along with the getting out of the house. Just think, no phones ringing, nobody to talk over something so you don't know what they said, no background noise (unless you get a large obnoxious crowd) to annoy you... *sigh* I miss the theater...
